Great little pistol! Lots of fun. 400 rds. through mine so far, and no malfunctions. Only problem I've seen is with mags.. SGM, ETS, and OEM Glock mags work great, but the Korean mags from RWB or KCI are very tight.
I got an extar ep9, which is similar to this (a bit cheaper, side charger). I bought the ergo reduced angle grip for it and I think it feels better on a pdw type gun like this.
Crow's Bridge Love the EP9...$400ish, dead on perfect straight out of the box. Takes Glock clips/drums. Added front handle w laser and blinding flash/strobe and a red/green site. Very happy. Looking forward to the 10mm and the 45.
Great video. I have the FX-9 pistol, great gun. I changed the pistol grip to BCM Mod 0 and then the Magpul K PDW grip. I prefer the BCM. I also replaced the trigger guard. The only complaint I have is the size of the charging handle. FO has advised that a larger one is in the works.
Any recommendation for a good sling, preferably 2point, made with paracord AND Made in USA? I found one just shy of $80 before shipping but wonder if someone has a less expensive recommendation
Question, the 16in barrel model or this model in the video, when firing the rifle in an indoor range. The gas that come out when firing the weapon. Gases made for the bullet do they blow forward or back into your face, where you have to hold your breath. I had this issue with another PCC 9MM Glock Mag carbine. I am looking for a new rifle to replace that one. Hoping yours doesn't do it. Thank you
Is your muzzle enhancer tight in the handguard? I have the newer version and the bottom of the muzzle enhancer is so tight I can't get it loose by hand. You said easy lol. It is easy to shoot and very fun/expensive. Shoot em if you got em!!
I don't see why folks complain about polymer in ARs, lowers don't have to deal with forces that much compared to uppers. Unless you know you're going to be abusing your firearm, polymer is great for 90% of people.
I just unboxed mine and am exceptionally frustrated. Black bolt, not nickel boron. And NO lower rail. No Mlok rail option. Is this suddenly the new standard or was I screwed?
tvdave1 Awesome. Thank you for letting me know. Yeah I got ahold of Freedom Ordinance and they told me the same thing. I just ordered an Aimpoint T1 and mount. gonna love on her with a Hogue pistol grip as well.
@@chrisswaim3798 Just as an FYI, I also ran in to the exact same situation about three months ago. I was also told the nickel boron bolt and lower rail was the "old" version they changed from due to quality control.
This seems like a pretty nice gun . . . However, Freedom Ordnance doesn't recommend using defensive rounds, regardless of manufacturer. Meanwhile, the EXTAR EP9, at $420 (Yes, it's polymer) will fire defensive rounds without issue. . . And it weighs over a pound less. . .
The barrel is threaded but since it's a normal gas blowback action I would assume you'd get alot of gas blowback. That's just me assuming after watching tons of videos on the subject haha
There is no mention of +P or +P+ ammo in the manual that I can see. Even with standard ammo fired in this gun, you are going to get far higher velocities with the same load than you would from a normal pistol. The longer barrel allows for complete combustion of the powder and will give you all the velocity possible from 9mm Luger/Parabellum ammunition.
Any idea if you can run +p through it? And I was running some remmington 115 grain through it and encountered about 8 malfunctions. Any ideas why that could be? Maybe bad batch of ammo
Don't buy this gun if you are left handed. I made the mistake. But my family Is right handed so it's still ok. They like it. But it burns my face horribly. First gun I ever had that had spattered debris and gas on my face. It hurts!
I have this pistol and absolutely love it...I shoot my AR much less now. This and my G19 are a perfect combo for that get home guns set up
Exactly
My favorite gun!!

Love this gun. I own 2 of them. Definitely worth the money to upgrade the trigger. The BCM Mod 0 grip works great on them.
Not an Echo Trigger?
cobra460 I don’t know if an Echo would work. I have a CMC in one and a Hyperfire trigger in the other.
@@johnpalmer8834 I watched another video from someone else and the echo does not fit in there.
@@johnpalmer8834 So a CMC 3.5 lb trigger will work in the FX-9? Thanks!

What size Allen wrench for the fx9 freedom ordinance
I have the carbine and it is a rook star
Long Red Road ......1 year update? Any issues or wants?

Great review Thank you. What are your thoughts on the trigger?
Having a adjustable sba3 pistol brace does not make it a sbr. So u don't need a tax stamp or need to register it.
Do u have any issues with it yet? My firing pin rolling pin has some gouging Marks from firing pin for some reason.
Please explain SBR and what it is in the law? I am new to that whole concept of pistol rifle and then something in between
Seems like someyhing I'd like to pick up

Great review. Is the receivers made of polymer or aluminum? Tough to tell. Thanks
Aluminum
Does it have last round bolt hold open?
Good PDW

How do you take off the muzzle device? Mine is on past hand tight. I don’t see any way to grab hold of it without scratching it.
Used some rubber gripped work gloves. Worked for me lol.
I would like get one of them 9mm pistol fx ok can y find down here in reidsville georgia

The one you got is the upgraded version.

They also included anti walking pins on new version . I had to put some on my older version .Its one of my favorite to shoot. It runs great
What sights do you have mounted on it?

nothing better Norinco qbz95 .........how do I know that????? cos got one :)
Does the manual say anything about running "high pressure" ammo like +P or +P+ ammo?

Will it take a 15 round glock 19 mag?
Of course. 🤣

So far I see people having trouble with hollow point/ defensive ammo!?
So far I have not had any issues shooting Gold Dot 124gr +P hollow point ammo. YMMV
Mine also eats Sig defensive ammo and Hornady rounds no problem
Bit of an obvious rip off of Nutnfancys table top review format. Come on buddy.
