    I like the SP9A1 a lot for its features like the front charging handle and ability to shoot folded, but the FX9 has the smallest overall length (if you put a folding adaptor on it) than any other complete AR9 I can find.

    Would a binary trigger like the Fostech Echo AR or the Franklin Armory BFS work in this firearm ...

  • @jamesbrogan85
    @jamesbrogan85 16 дней назад

    In case anyone is interested, I've experimented with various triggers in my FX-9, and the only one that functioned properly is the Timney Trigger Impact AR Trigger. None of the Rise Armament Triggers worked right, and the Mimtac Drastic AR-9 9mm PCC Drop-in Touch Trigger instantly transformed the FX-9 into an unstoppable, out-of-control, ONE-PULL-ONE-MAG, full-auto, machine gun, with no way to stop the firing, except to keep it pointed downrange til the mag is empty, as removing your finger from the trigger doesn't work! Just an FYI...

  • @Talix.

    Couple quick questions:
    1) If they say the factory trigger is tuned for the gun why are you switching it out? Is the factory trigger not as good as you had hoped it would be?
    2) Does this new FX-9 come with the upgraded charging handle or do you still have to spend the $70 like you did to upgrade it?
    3) Have they said if it will run surpassed?
    4) I'm trying to decide between this and the new Ruger PC Charger. I loved handling this FX-9 at a fun show but everyone us raving about the new PC Charger
    Thanks for making this video!

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  4 года назад +3

      1) They say it's tuned because not all AR triggers work with PCCs. I changed it because I wanted to.
      2) I'm not a manufacturer representative, you should ask them.
      3) They haven't said, but performance surpasses many other similar guns.
      4) Forget about Ruger, that's just marketing hype. The FX-9 is unique in all the right ways and common in all the right ways.

    I was curious as to 2 things: Any reason they switched the bolt carriers from nickel boron to nitride? & Why did you switch your recoil spring on your older FX-9? I was curious because I have the same model and wondered if there were any benefits or less recoil? Thanks, I am looking forward to the review as to you are the only one I have seen get ahold of the 4.5” model.

    Was looking at the Brigade BM 9 but read several comments about people having issues with them. Now considering this gun instead.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  3 года назад

      We've got all three variants of the FX-9. They're great guns and actually scaled for 9mm which makes them about 1.5" shorter than any other AR-styled PCC. Great guns, but with that size comes some restriction. They won't accept AR charging handles or common bolt changes, but if you're one who learns the gun instead of trying to buy your way to better shooting the FX-9 is an excellent gun.

      michael silver more points of contact is a cop out for lesser training this is a more shootable platform not a better platform the same capabilities will apply if this was a 4.5 pistol you gain nothing but a different manual of arms and comfort due to lack of Confidence with a handgun 9mm doesn’t get +5 damage and accuracy cause it’s loaded through a lower receiver instead of a pistol Frame and lastly high speed fragmentation is real and rifles a lot of the time are safer than slower heavier projectiles at times I mean pcc that aren’t sub guns need to die yeah they are cool but I think that we should advance as a community and use SBRs or rifle caliber pistols

      @@brandonmatthews7930 A cop out for lesser training? You obviously know less about guns and shooting than you think you know. . . More points of contact means a more stable platform. Simple. But sure, you go on thinking otherwise. (You'll just be wrong.)

    A 4inch barrel is a big & bulky handgun.... if you're going to make it a "rifle"-type stick to the 7-12" barrel.
    Make it look like a rifle or make a handgun. This thing looks goofy.

      Actually, it does, just maybe not for you . . . There's a list of reasons why this makes sense, and they're covered in the various FX-9 videos.

    Would you be able to switch the charging handles?

    • @pupfriend

      It's proprietary, can only switch it to another FX9 charging handle. Won't work with a regular AR charging handle.
