As a former military kid I'll tell you I'm not surprised that two military parents are being horrible to a child 🤷♀️ I hope that kid can grow up in the least traumatic way possible
Fr. Both of my parents were military. My mom is a fine parent she, I wouldn't classify her as abusive, but my father is completely different. Growing up, my father showed anger and aggression, and my brother and I have expressed fear for our lives. My Father is a completely terrible and terrifying person.
Not every military parents are like that though.
@@karentucker2161 obviously, but growing up on military bases the sheer amount of kids I went to school with that bonded over being physically, verbally and emotionally abused was crazy looking back. I mean just look at domestic violence stats for service members 😬

No one realizes how much goes under the radar in the military. My husband deals with this daily. The army brushes stuff off or covers for the enlisted. It’s gross. And coming out this month the baby that was neglected at fort Campbell. Terrible, I hope your childhood was good, or you have found healing.
The abusive mom was “crying” yet had zero tears. She was just making sound and sniffling. What kind of parent does this to their CHILD. As a parent it’s YOUR JOB to make sure the child doesn’t “get into the oven” or “stick a fork in the light socket” there’s way safer ways to discipline your child. He was extremely upset and obviously not okay. I’m glad they took him.
If someone had my kid, I would be a blathering melting mess. No tears. Pretend tears. The kid looked so uncomfortable and sad.
Alot of people think cps takes kids without reason too, but as someone who grew up witnessing how the system works because my grandma and mom fostered kids, they don’t take kids away for nothing, there’s usually a very clear obvious provable reason, another thing I’ve learned is that every parent that gets their kid taken away will claim it wasn’t their fault, they did nothing wrong. No one wants to admit they endangered their own child.

@@BakedBrain7100 I have to disagree with this based on personal experience. My nephew had a traumatic birth injury and was in the NICU on life support for months. Finally, my sister and her husband were able to take him home after 6 months. After about a month at home, he started having health issues. He had fluid on his brain and ended up having brain surgery to put a shunt in. He coded several times. He was expected to have disabilities. The hospital tried to say someone shook him and caused a brain injury. We pleaded for them to look at his birth records, he was technically stillborn and resuscitated using a method where they cool your blood down and then pump the cold blood through your body and slowly warm you up. They took my nephew and put him into foster care for 3 months. During those 3 months, my sisters other children were not removed or even checked on. She had 3 other kids. 1 was a 3 year old. Sometimes they take kids for no reason. There are Social Workers who have admitted to it being like an adoption ring, where they seek out children that people are looking for: blonde blue eyed boy, Hispanic girl, etc. It's sick.

she literally says the child was wrapped in the cellophane because he was misbehaving.. that sounds like punishment to me. they can use her statement there as evidence that it was NOT just in good fun. makes me sick.

This mother really said he was trying to get into the stove and put forks in light sockets....as if there aren't literally child proof ways to prevent these things from happening. My son is 4 and we still have covers on all the outlets even though I highly doubt he would stick anything in there. If that was really a big issue, then they need to start putting more child proof things in place where this child can be truly safe, not even mentioning disciplining with wrapping them in something where they can't move. Oof this is maddening :/

As a former foster care child, who grew up from the age of 10 in the system, I applaud the initiative to make the awareness because I have had my struggles due to the system turning their back once I turned a legal adult.
Even if nothing comes from the investigation of the parents, I am glad CPS is taking actions to check and make sure this child’s well being is looked after. Unfortunately, we have seen many instances where this action did not take place and horrific circumstances were overlooked.
The sesh makes my Thursday lit. Seriously, my favorite day. I’m off on Thursday, so I clean my house, get my chores done, make my bed, lay my son down for a nap, grab a snack and veg out on the sesh. It’s a total vibe. Todays snack is hot Cheetos for those who care 💀🤣😆

That "mother" is insane! Even her pretend excuses for abusing their kid don't make any sense. "It was just a funny thing we did because he was trying to climb in the oven and put a fork in an electrical socket"... um, what? So you thought hey, those are pretty serious safety issues, a great way to handle this is play a funny game? (that is far from funny for the kid). The parents are both abusive and stupid. I hope they're required to take some parenting classes and perhaps some basic life skills / common sense daily life classes.
With the car crash I COMPLETELY understand them just not reacting. At my last job we were all smoking out back and there was an alley that everyone drove up to the parking lot with a 2 foot high curb alongside it that was connected directly to the building. I was sitting in one of those folding camping chairs about 5 feet from the curb. A food delivery semi truck pulled through and somehow DROVE ONTO THE 2 FT CURB and started ripping pieces of the roof off and everyone started screaming and running away. I sat in the camping chair STARING and LAUGHING while everyone was screaming for me to move tf outta the way 😂 So I get itttt, sometimes you just don't know how to react

As a foster mom, I saw so many red flags in the video of the baby and dad, and in the video of the mom. Kids get into things. You child proof your home, or NEWSFLASH, get of. Tik tok, and actually play with your child. Children get into trouble when they want your attention. 🤬

I was pregnant with my 2nd child when Savannah was pregnant with Gunnar so thanks to the algorithm I followed her for quite some time. Our sons are close in age by 2-3 months so my memory is pretttttty fresh with how the toddler stage goes (I am in DEEEP right now😂). It’s very frustrating, I get it, even with child proofing everything, they always find SOMETHING. But it sounds to me like they weren’t child proofing much in the first place and clearly are not educated on child development in relation to discipline/redirection. That video gave me the ICK lol I still follow her for now since she privated everything and I’m curious to see how she moves on from this. She still thinks the mistake was posting it, not the actual process of inflicting trauma on her son. I’m concerned if she will educate herself at all and admit to this. Lots of us mamas are watching.

It breaks my heart that people abuse their children and my husband and I are sitting over here with almost 3 years of infertility begging to be blessed with a child. My heart is broken for that little boy that he doesn't have safe parents and I hope he gets a family that loves him and doesn't grow up in the system like I did. 😢😢😢😢

People act as though the saran wrap situation was a "mistake" and these parents made a "mistake" and mistakes like this are ok. HOW DO YOU ACCIDENTALLY WRAP YOUR KID IN SARAN WRAP???? WHAT "MISTAKE" IS THAT?????
As someone who works in mental health and has specialised in working with kids in system, it is terrible that they receive no assistance from the age of 18 in the US. In Australia they are exited from underage care into government subsidised apartments, which they are able to remain in for their entire lives if they choose to. Their rent costs are a small percentage of their income - it’s very cheap. They are also put on a pension they can remain on or choose to leave behind when they go into the work force. Some of the kids I worked with are in those apartments and some have moved out into the workforce and private rental now. Without this system they all would have ended up homeless. The system needs to support these young people if they are to have any chance in the world.

In October a drunk person drove their car into my house in the middle of the night and caused over $50,000 worth of damage! It was scary but I am very thankful that no one was hurt!

It looks a lil weird as I type it out, in my head it sounds cute. 😆 Love that you do this - it’s such a quirky thing that we women do in real life so I love that y’all embrace it!! Kind of unrelated but:
I suffered from a panic attack two months ago and am now suffering with anxiety everyday. I have intrusive thoughts, health anxiety, bizarre physical symptoms, etc. I am currently on my recovery journey. I just wanted to say that this podcast along with Kendall’s others and channel, have helped me so much to get my mind off of things. I don’t know if this will reach you, but I would love for Janelle to talk more about mental health and maybe the “not-so-pretty” symptoms, personal experiences, etc. Love you guys so much!! Thank you!!
