    After researching decorative concrete coatings for several years, I can tell you that won’t last. You can’t just pressure wash the drive way, you have to grind the top coat down untill you start to see stone. It will look peppered. Also, a rubberized system like elastideck from ez concrete supply, would last a hell of a lot longer then an over coat of Crete.

      That's why you just save money and buy a cheap harbor freight CORDED low speed drill (or 2) for messy jobs like this. No need to worry about batteries and since is a cheapie we don't care about the drill's health either. It's plenty capable of mixing watery mixes like flo coat.

  • @galehess6676
    @galehess6676 5 лет назад

    Since it is let Stan have it day LOL .... I think what people are trying to say, but can't quite express, is that spray on would do a more uniform application, and we each have our own taste in color combinations. The job was pretty close, maybe some streaks. IMO, brushing, unless the brush costs more than the product can result in streaks. Running a squeegee on one side and brooming the other don't add up, either, unless it is some magic self-leveling product.

    Hey , Stan, does the instructions say to wet the surface for better adhesion? Because in my field of work, water is something that you don't want when applying a coating because the water gets in the way of the coating and the surface that is to be adhered to. In other words, water blocks adhesion and will cause lifting.

    • @Dirtmonkey
      @Dirtmonkey  6 лет назад

    I have many cracks on my double car garage driveway. Cracks range from 1/8" to 1/4" which appeared like spider webs and may not settle entirely. Some surfaces where the cracks were had lifted up to 3/8", which present a tripping hazard. Will this DIY resurfacing helps further deterioration of my driveway if proper prepping and leveling? If not, what other methods or options do I have without spending an arm and a leg. The replacement of my driveway would cost $5000 or more. Thanks.

      But not everyone buys a house as a financial investment. Many people buy a house to use it as a home and live in it for their whole life. As far as neighbors go, well, they can move if they want.There is no laws (in my area) that states that I must maintain my home in such a was as to keep my neighbors' property values from sinking. It's none of my concern that they bought a house as an investment tool rather than as a home.
