Looks like you did a wonderful job, too bad the client picked such horrible colors. Well colors are great but not together. Thumbs up keep up the great work!
You can get stencil from concreting supply stores. Prices will vary depending on which country you live in. About $250AU for 100m2 in Australia. Also available in 50m2.
Sorry for the late reply. I use Australian products. Duratex modifier, Covertex base powder and Covertex colour dispersant. These 3 products a mixed together for spraying.
Muy buenos días,estoy viendo sus vídeos, son muy buenos , me gustaría aprender mas, soy de Colombia. De que país eres? mi nombre es Gonzalo. Felicitaciones eres muy inteligente.Dios te bendiga y te siga dando mucha sabiduría.
That is what I was hoping for. Mine is not going to be this professional. I was going to try to stencil with a roller, I think I will just do an edge. Last edging video, the work was great. But, if I had to saw the concrete, it may as well being Stevie Wonder and Michael J. Fox taking turns.
I don't know where you are located but in Australia you get it at concreting supply stores, they sell all the tools and ingredients a concreter would use and often supply the items required to do they spray on resurfacing as well..
Gerhard Wilfling The team did a wonderful job, but if you only switched the colors I feel like that would have looked 100x better :-( (Grey "stones" and brown veins.)
The 50's 60's here aren't like wherever you are. I think people were, and still are on acid here. I go to Georgia, all of the same model tract houses, likely that way all over the country, painted in brown, tan, grey. Drive 8 hours and watch the pastels blossom
Sorry for the late reply. I use Australian products, Duratex and Covertex. The base powder (Covertex) is a micro cement and the colour dispersant (Covertex) is used to add colour. Modifier (Duratex) is used in 50/50 ratio with water to mix the whole thing together.
We give a seven year warranty but it will last a lot longer than that, I see some that I did almost 20 years ago and they are still holding up well. To keep them maintained you need to thoroughly clean them with a good high pressure cleaner (water blaster) and then give it a coat of sealer, but make sure it is completely dry from the washing, give it at least 24 hours before sealing.
Good Job!I like doing Stencils they look Great and easy to Do!The only thing I Hate is Removing the Adhesive balls..Sometimes It comes off when you Pull the Stencil but always leaves a little! Then you have a little dark spot where the Adhesive Ball was! Cheers from Texas!! Gerhard....
+rg amore I've been doing it for 25 years so I know that if it is properly applied and maintained it will last at least 25 years. It is recommended that it should be cleaned and resealed with a clear sealer every 3 or 4 years to keep it looking good.
Whenever I see thin cement being spread with a squeegee, I can't stop thinking, "Mmmm, crêpes!" And does anyone ever bring me crêpes when this happens? No. No crêpes, ever.
lovly job can you tell me where i would get the base product from also the top coat and whats it called , does it come in 20ltr drums or bag form thanks
It would save considerable time is the stencil came with a light adhesive already applied to one side. Perhaps the color combination is popular in Australia, not so much in the states. Informative application video, you may want to include a supply list, quantities, mixing ratios and instructions and working times. Oh, lose the echo voice over effect...trying to understand y'all from down under is hard enough. Thanks mate
Totally agree with ya Mark King, the echo voice was hard to understand... good video though. I think I would have shown the homeowner a sample of the two colors together before the job, which may have been done, but I just can't see living with those colors!!
Good work. Although I don't fancy the color, the customer has an oddly unique taste to say the least. Looks like they let the pool go, I'm sure that'll be worked on next. Maybe you guys should recommend some design patters next time, a lookbook of sorts perhaps?
Tiles can chip, crack, break and become loose and really you have no idea how long the stencilling lasts. Work I did 20 years ago still hasn't worn out, the concrete it is applied to might crack but the product is very durable.
The product I use to spray on the concrete is a special resurfacing compound, ask at a concrete supplies store because depending on which country you are in the names of the products will be different. The stencil should also be available at the same store. If it is only a small area that wish to do then it may not be viable to do it yourself as you will also need a hopper gun and a reasonably sized compressor, these two items will be expensive unless you can hire them.
I do concrete surfaces in waterloo indiana, have had exp for 20 yrs, first you get your surface ready by sandblasting it, wash good, make sure all grass is off concrete , and w=away from it , then acid wash it then pressure wash it always keep a blower near by after every job, this is a 4 day job to 5 sometimes, depending on weather , then next step is paint primer , you can find real good paint primer at both menards and home depot the most exp is usually hte best i always use a white primer this way i leave it for the white lines in patio flag stone look i do my own stencilling it looks more natural ,the best sealer i have found placing three coats is sold at menards it is the wet concrete dealer in a white plastic bucket , call wet seal it last for yrs
I have been doing it for about 26 years and have had no issues doing it the way I do it. We resurface with a cement product and use a concrete primer, paint primer is for paint.
some good looking projects in this video, not crazy about some of the coloring on a few of them, but what I liked was the hopper gun set up, I need to get me something like that, got a big job coming up and that would work way better then what I have... where did you get that handle set up for the hopper gun or is it all just one set up
@@MrCustomConcrete That was the original idea but it was a bit hard on the trigger hand because of the angle. I found that spreading your legs while spraying gets you a bit lower. A little tip if you aren't aware, spray the inside of the hopper with WD40, makes it much easier to wash out.
bad thing about stencils same pattern over and over. do it with masking tape and make them yourself and you get a better turn out! or stamps that you can alternate!
The narrator sounds like a celestial being.
lol
Oh my god 😂
One of the best quotes I’ve seen on youtube lol!
MOSES TAKES THESE TABLETS AND RESURFACE YOUR POOL DECK
The commentator is in another dimension!!!! And someone love's their 80's synthesizer!! Bow chica' bow wow!!
Excellent job! Nicely described #concrete resurfacing process, making it easy for layman to perform the task. Keep sharing such videos.
Looks like you did a wonderful job, too bad the client picked such horrible colors. Well colors are great but not together. Thumbs up keep up the great work!
Great video. Showing how to resurfacing the #concrete floor. Helpful to make it easy for the laymen to perform the task.
Gerhard, GREAT VIDEO. Great detailed instructions. Please post more!!!
I have not heard of adhesive stencil but we use a product called BluTack which is usually used for sticking posters and things like that to walls.
Great job lads. Looks good
what is he talking out of a beer can
trump lover beer
Can on a string!
I like boho colors, doesn't draw attention which is best, clean & neat more realistic. 👏🏼 great job
Thank you! 😊
I did this in Florida with a guy who used masking tape to make the patterns, we used 4 and 5 different colors and shades , it looked awesome.
nice job mate, that’s the beauty of sharing your talents on you tube.
The work looks great!
Great job, thank you for sharing. I like the dodad for holding the sprayer.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
That pool needs some love!

Thanks for sharing...we are building a house now and this video is really useful. Hello from Bulgaria :))
That's really cool. It looks fantastic.
Thank you.
Sweet beats and echo on the narration. What a groove!!!
I know this thread is a bit old, but would be nice if you can list all the material used. Thank you.
Excellent job Sr. This is awesome in everyway.
+GUIYEAR Thank you very much, it's good to get some positive feedback, a pleasant change from the negativity.
thanks mate good job you have been very helpful might have a go at it myself
Sorry for the late reply. I use Australian products. Duratex modifier, Covertex base powder and Covertex colour dispersant. These 3 products a mixed together for spraying.
The grey and white combo in my view was great .
Thank you H.A.L.
LOLZ
WOULD have gone with a darker color for a better contrast...kinda blah
Really far from where I live, I live in Mexico City!.. but thank you for sharing this video, its really good, Have a wonderful day.
and just to make sure you go blind they put sealer in pool
Hahaha.......morons
Muy buenos días,estoy viendo sus vídeos, son muy buenos , me gustaría aprender mas, soy de Colombia. De que país eres? mi nombre es Gonzalo. Felicitaciones eres muy inteligente.Dios te bendiga y te siga dando mucha sabiduría.
Thank you. Yes I could have done it that way by putting the white down first and then spraying the grey over the stencil.
Wow! Very labor intensive process! Came out very nice, but it would be something I would have to hire someone to do.
great job. but the colors are horrible
agree. However, I guess he was just giving what the customer wanted. It's their choice after all.
+Sophia Smith (MIRAGE Bermuda) very true
i'm sure the owners picked the colors, their option of choice after all!
i woukd have told them no if they chose those colors...
Lisa S u
coloring absolutely sucks...... otherwise good job
Would have been so much prettier with plain cement color and white lines.

Thank you Gerhard !!
It looks dated. Welcome back to the 60's
You're right, plain old concrete is much nicer.
Of course it's dated - It's down in Aus

a white primer in this job would have shown up better for the flag stone edges
agree
white gets dirty.
Brilliant. Loved it. Very clean work too. We'll done

And that folks is how the professionals do it !!
ppl always hv negative things to say about everything! keep doing what you do, bc it look great... I like those colors.....

what a hideous color combination. cool project though.
sorry but the color combination is not good.

i like how he was holding his cig LMAO! thats what a good mood is!!
the gray and white would have been good. should have stopped there 😂
wonderful good great work, I like it !
Thank you
What type of “paint” is the top coat? It looks textured. Nice job.
The bass in the beginning of the song keeps making me think "My Name is Mud" is about to start playing

I did this to our patio. No tape needed. Just careful. Definitely no blue though!
Not in my state. Nowhere near as hideous. I think hideous color combos are code here.
Need a long handle on that squeegee, bottom-line looks great but willing to bet today's methods have come a long way
If you have a look at the finished job you will see no over spray. The dry sandy stuff which bounces onto the exposed areas brushes away with a broom.
Great job.
I’m afraid of that swimming pool, though. 😬

0:32 how much for m2 ? thank you! your work is awesome!
Wow nice video despite this was many years ago, could I ask what PSI did you use when spraying and how to avoid streak marks/lines? Many thanks!❤
Sorry I have no idea of the PSI, reasonably low pressure, trial and error really. I spray in a circular motion, slightly overlapping on the next pass.
good job. its funny i liked it better with the white stencil on there against the gray. could you have done it that way?
Damn! Where did you get that hopper gun handle?
I need on of them for my company!
nice job guys
