    Nice work.. When i use to do this i did 3 coates with the finer spray tip spraying a lighter coate each time followed buy a hard brisel brush once dried and seal. Its didn't leave that blotchy paint look and the finished prouct is more grippy to walk on.

    Hey Tim great video! We do a similar method, our mixes use acryllic binder for an excellent bond. Theres oxides you can get to change the concrete to any colour. Quite beautiful!
    It's all troweled on, theres a certain technique you can do with the trowel to give it a textured finished, looks exactly like natural stone!
    Anyways wanted to share these methods are quite rare but are super underrated!

    What brand materials did you use? Can you get any of that at Home Depot? And where do you get the dye. If you could list what colors you used

      This one was H&C. Lots of companies sell similar products. Westcoat, Increte etc. You can’t get it at HD.

    This is beautiful. We have lots of cracks that we would have to fix first. will this process still work? It is a lot of cement and is curvy. Any suggestions for dealing with the curves? Also, what about using an epoxy as a pool surround?

    • @TimDCVA
      @TimDCVA  2 года назад

      Thanks! This process doesn’t work very well over cracked concrete. We can patch cracks but there’s always a chance they will come back.
      I wouldn’t recommend epoxy or polyurea around a pool. A cementious overlay (like in this video) would be more suitable.

      @@TimDCVA What in particular is wrong with using a polyaspartic around a pool?

    • @TimDCVA
      @TimDCVA  Год назад +1

      Pool decks (and all exterior concrete) never have a vapor barrier under the concrete. Non-breathable coatings (epoxy, polyurea & polyaspartic) would be susceptible to issues from moisture passing through the concrete.
