Very nice demonstration, much appreciated. Does this dough work with savoury fillings as well? This would be great with a homemade chunky applesauce to go with tea/coffee but I would also love to make this with a ricotta-scallion-egg-cheese mixture wrapped in a thin slice of ham.
As always, you have wonderful ideas for variations. I really appreciate your creativity. The dough would work for savory fillings but I would only use 1 tsp. of sugar.
That looks delicious! Here in Rhineland-Palatinate, our Dampfnudeln are much more dense and delicious too, but I really want to try the Bavarian ones. :) What confuses me though is that they are made in almost the same way, but they are so different.
So simple and so delicious. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Oh yummy! This looks fantastic. I was looking for something to make this morning.
Thank you, I hope you enjoy!
@@AllTastesGerman I made them this morning.♥️
So tasty and screams "German pastry" to my mind. Simply perfect!
Thank you!
It’s Austrian and has absolutely nothing to do with Germany!
@@lordnat1968 guess you need to do some history research. By the eaw: und wenn man keine Ahnung hat einfach mak die Fresse halten 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@lordnat1968 Actually it's Bohemian. Both Bavaria and Austria just adopted the dish. So it belongs to both cultures alike.
So delicious 😋
Thank you 😋
They are super filling, but I haven't eaten any in ages, I prefer them with cherry preserves and cinnamon sugar sprinkles.
Oh yes, that is true. I think no one can eat more than one of these delicious dumplings. Cherry preserve and cinnamon sugar sounds LECKER!

Germknödel is from Vienna/Austria and has nothing to do with Germany or Bavaria!
The Austrian cuisine is heavily influenced by the Habsburg Monarchy. Germknödel are a traditional staple in Bavarian cuisine.
It is, it’s Bavarian Dish.
It’s common in Germany
