Although a really good whisky, in my opinion, Lagavulin won't be enough for a peat freak. It's a subtle peat with low abv and high age. The peat freak would like a punch in the face and peat hits more at a younger age with high abv. That is why I didn't put it there :)
Hey Nath, yeah so the background you see with all the bottles is actually a cabinet which closes fully and away from direct sunlight. I always buy without a box as well as I find them cumbersome and blocking the great view of the bottles :)

Pretty surprised nomad made it into the sherry list. Most reviewers brush over it because it is cheap, NAS (kinda), and technically not scotch. Is it genuinely good and worth a buy?
It's an interesting story and a decent whisky. It's way too sweet for me so I can only have a glass but my sherry loving friends absolutely adore it. Thanks for checking the video out 😃🥃
Snobs are less important than whisky nerds! I prefer the Ugie to the Cory! Not a very impressive list for the luxury snob or Age snob. I like the Qwhisky 18 year old list better. The purist list is good!
Absolutely they are! This was just my take on Geoff's idea but hopefully we won't encounter many snobs in our journey. Sorry you weren't impressed with the list but these are what I have 🤷♂️ I do highly recommend the Wemyss 1988 though, that maturation in sherry butts left a fantastic flavour.

hmm.. Lagavulin 16 should have made it to the peat list.. bummer.. any particular reason it did not? Love the rest of the recommendations.

That all looks pretty tasty. I’m curious about your not keeping the boxes though. Is your whisky well protected from sunlight?
