@@AndersRamm The black rage that blood angels suffer from is them reliving the fight between Sanguinius and Horus in their heads. They believe they are Sanguinius and no longer see things the way the rest of the marines do.
The terrain is really inventive; like a stage set in a theatre. I like how the Erasmaus, Death Company Marine, lives in a hallucinatory universe of grief. The paint jobs and the narration are both top-notch, and it is nice to Final Liberation music and graphics emerging from the Warp. Wot a brutal rukus!
I played warhammer literally once and I have no idea about the rules of 2ed (why this poor, semi-sentient shroom gets barbecued and thrown like a rag doll without killing him clearly must be a divine intervention), yet I'm having a blast watching this story. Fun you're having here is inspiring, Ed, keep being awesome!
I am absolutely loving the campaign. Glorious terrain, lovely vibrant paint jobs, fantastic storytelling, 10/10 production value; all in all, pure concentrated retrofun bursting with nostalgia. You are the best Ed!
Amazing thank you! I am planning on making some more 'Modellig Workshop' inspired terrain soon to keep the Armageddon setting varied and interesting. Comments like this are super motivating and make it all worth it :)
These 2nd edition battle reports have become some of my favorite 40K content on RUclips recently. I really enjoy the more free form style of gameplay and the old models are honestly pretty catchy
It's strange. I never played 2nd ed but every batrep you upload is 1000% percent more enjoyable to me than any batrep of contemporary 40k. There's so much warmth and charm to these videos. Good stuff!
Amazing! Thank you so much. I loved Inferno so much and upon googling it, didn't realise it had such a long run. I wish GW would release a compendium of the work contained within that magazine.
@@edpaintsminis You and me both. Colin McNeil and Kev Walker's art is especially evocative of the grimdark far future. Up there with anything they made for 2000AD or the Judge Dredd Megazine. Originals and collected reprints are out there, but usually go for crazy money when resold.

Whatever ill luck curses James has these starting to feel like black library books. I can only imagine it’s space marine plot armour stopping Orks from succeeding no matter how good their odds
The Orks were very unlucky tbf! They have quite a bit of hardware coming for the next batrep, so we'll have to see if the marines can maintain their Black Libraryesque stature!
Another awesome installment! You really make 2nd edition shine (again). From my perspective, this era was the most fun in 40K, and you certainly convey that! Please keep 'm coming 😎👍
Loved the different storylines at play here-the shotgun scout proving himself to his senior brother, the sergeant and extra brother weathering the plasma fire, and, of course, the death company marine and his duel with "Horus" lol

Excellent battle report as ever, really liked the story. I had no idea there was a campaign expansion for second Ed so I’m keen to see more. Great painted models by the way, you’ve really done the plastic orcs justice!

Thoroughly entertained, its a treat to see nicely painted vintage miniatures and great fun to watch a battle report transmission from the warp where its still 2nd edition, nice. I liked the names for Boss Killbags and his boyz, hallmark of a vintage batrep.. everyone has names. Super fun, thank you.
Love the wild stuff that 2nd edition's rules could set up in games like that. That one flaming ork bouncing around like a pool ball. :D My favorite moment like that back when I was a kid was a friend's Viper blowing the turret off my leman russ and the turret scattering to land on the viper and taking it out. And the viper crashing into another unit for even more carnage.
Love it man, the little retro intros make this so amazing. Really does feel like watching Saturday morning cartoons. Can't wait to see where you take this next
