Unpopular opinion: I see both the plastic back and flat screen as pros instead of cons. I use my phone, I don't put it on a stand and admire it.
Yeah true..I dropped my phone a few days back from a speeding motorcycle and due to its plastic back it survived. Glass backs are just too fragile.

This phone basically makes OnePlus irrelevant. Glad to see Samsung can do it if they want to!
Just imagine if next year if Samsung does this with the next Galaxy. Give me a plastic body and the same internals as the top Galaxy for $200-300 less I'll buy that in a heartbeat!

@@hanstinlopezgo543 one or two. I think all smart phones are susceptible to it. My old Pixel 2XL was much worse, happened all the time. The 20FE has only done it once or twice in 2 months.
Nice a reviewer finally got the same color I ordered! Excellent photography on it as well I appreciate that a LOT so thank you. It's arriving tomorrow so I'll be able to see it with my own eyes soon lol.
Other than the sort of weak glass on the front and the weird chrome ring around the camera, this thing is too good to pass up for 699.
Gorilla glass 3 isn't that bad
@@ultragoldcoin8780 I dropped this thing from around 1.5ft from my bed railing onto my floor. It's not bad by any means, but it's definitely as tough as you'd expect 7 year old glass to be. I've got 2 spiderweb cracks and there's a weak point near the volume rockers.
Being flat though, means glass screen protectors actually work

THE S20 FE IS THE MORST COMPELLING PHONE OF THE YEAR with 95% of the ultra features. And just because its at a midrange price, doesn't mean its a midrange phone. If thats the case, than the iphone 11 at 699$ is also a midrange phone
I have the s10+, trade in value is $450, making the price 250$, plus a 70$ credit that they give you to put towards another product . HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT !!!
And idk why ppl keep brining up the standard s20 for 670 on Amazon, BECAUSE YOU DONT GET A WARRANTY FROM AMAZON. Plus it's 670. The 699 FE has trade in program bringing the price down to 300$ so yea, trade it in

It's just not as good as 865. It's still much better than 765+ ( in pixel 5 ) and more comparable to 855+ which is not bad at all for $599

Unfortunately the discounts you are getting in the US are not available in the UK.
1. 4g version with exynos processor is £599
2. 5g version with SD processor is £699 which equates to $904 US.
Here in the US it's $699 5G SD version

A very good phone for the price. I got the ☁️ red, wow, what a beautiful 😍 color. The 865processer & 120hz display are excellent. Very good 📷' s & 🔋. For me, this FE is a definite homerun!

I've had my galaxy S20 Fe for about 2 months! In cloud Lavender. I absolutely love everything about this phone. Switched from i phone back to android after 5 years! This phone is one of the best around

I am debating about upgrading from my Samsung S9 plus to the S 20 FE. It looks like a lot of the specs are very close to me, with the obvious exception of the processor and other core items. The one thing it looks like the S20 FE gives up is a little screen resolution, although the refresh rate is higher.
With the $300.00 than Samsing is offering for the trade in for my S9, it's hard not to upgrade to the S20 FE. The question is, do you really consider it an upgrade?

@@Frank-dq8kf I had to turn off accidental touch in the setting since then no issues. Just search for accidental touch in the setting and set it to off

As long as an FE phone has a snapdragon chip, i'll consider getting one. Exynos is meh
The only issue for me when it comes to android is the pictures and videos are compressed when I try to upload them. iOS on the other hand doesn't, I'm not sure lol.
Mine is pending return because of touchscreen issues. Hopefully fixes are sent out and I can keep it, but I'm not keeping something with these touch issues
More and more people reporting the touchscreen issues. I returned mine already. Will wait to see if issues are resolved with patches, or if it is a hardware issue.
They patched it with the latest update. Mine is working fine now.

It's flawed and the HR10+ is faulty Recording on the phone and local playback on the phone as well. Playback on youtube from uploading the HDR10 videos and playing back existing HDR10 content on youtube. Does. Not. Work.
Even the latest firmware update (G781BXXU1ATJ1) touch problem still exists on my S20 FE 5G . That’s so annoyed and disappointed. I can’t play FPS game. Sometimes in the middle part of the screen touch system just stop working for no reason i’ve to restart my phone to bring the screen back to work again. Pls fix it SAMSUNG !!! (My old S8 still work their great duty.)
I was thinking of going for the S20 when I trade in my S10, but I think you have convinced me the S10 FE is the way to go. I put a case on my phone anyway so the plastic back makes zero difference to me anyway.
The plastic back means there's one less thing to crack, I see that as a good thing. (BTW, you meant to type S20 FE, right? There is no S10 FE) I'll go with a case or bumper anyway because I hate how phones rock on the camera bump.
@@TheOtherBill yep, meant the S20 FE, was definitely looking for an upgrade option and the camera sounds like it should be another step up. And yes, reducing breakability is a plus, i have yet to break a phone but it's not because I don't drop but because of the cases I have used 😳🤣

does anyone own the 4G version with 6GB RAM? I live on an island where 5G is only available in a small, northern section of the island. i live in the west. And the 4G version is 100 euros less. Is it ok to pick up that version? i understand it has the exynos 990 processor and not the snapdragon 865, but for a casual user of smartphones, with my last one being a galaxy s9+... does it really matter that much? thanks.

The fact that it has a flat screen (from Samsung) is a big plus for me!!!
The only concern is the ram management (I saw a comparison between the FE and the Pixel 5) and the FE didn't do well against the pixel 5.
I have an S9+ which has the same amount of RAM as the FE and i rarely ever have a slowdown. Wouldn't worry about it too much.
I'm someone who always put a case on his phone, no matter what. I just feel more safe that way and worry less. So a plastic back is no issue at all for me. Seems like most everyone I see has a case on their phone, so why people get excited about a plastic back or the colors a phone comes in makes me laugh.
I don't use a case. I prefer plastic since it's not as much of a finger print magnet, costs less and doesn't shatter like glass.

The biggest difference and downside of the fe is the video camera is not close to the quality of my Note 8, especially in low lighting.
Wife and me went to at&t store and traded a iPhone 6s plus and a Samsung galaxy 9 for the s20 fe and believe me its a great upgrade and awesome phone.
Looks like I might be switching from my OnePlus 7t to this....I was loyal to OnePlus but since their cameras don't seem to be getting any better this looks like the better deal...at least until the OP9 comes out 🤷🏿♂️

The FE is on a big sale on Samsung for 130 dollars hurry and get it you do have to trade in to get this price tho.
Lots of people may not know but on the regular s20, when you bump it up to 120hz, the resolution of the screen goes down to 1080p anyway so this phone is amazing for the money

had mine in like 2 weeks , switched from Iphone X , amazing phone , beautiful big display , fast , i bought over it standard s20 because snapdragon over exynos and bigger battery , i more into flat display , all around for me Fe is better phone than standard s20 lineup

Woth upgrading my s9 plus?
My wife and I both have S9, and I just ordered us both a S20 FE. If you're eligible for an upgrade, no reason not to imo. Its enough of an upgrade to me. Flat screen, better triple camera, 120HZ display, 6.5" screen. All worth it. And its on a great sale for Black Friday.

Its a silly good phone. I had the note 20 ultra, thought I was spending to much money for a phone that doesn't fold or flip. Man am I glad I traded it on the FE, what a good phone! I literally have nothing bad to say about it yet.

I'm really hoping to switch to the Samsung S20 FE 5G because right now i'm using the iPhone XR and as much as i liked it...I mean i just want a switch to android, as much as i enjoy iphones i also enjoy android and samsung is the way to go in my opinion if you want a good experience. I'm really hoping to get this phone in either the mint or the lavender i love them both but i wish my carrier carried the white but that's okay i'll probably go with Lavender if i can even get it. 2020 has not been kind at all to anyone...i'm hoping for some luck in 2021...I just love technology! So i'm really hoping i can get my fiancé' and i this phone! It would be a blast to me to pick everything out i want to surprise her....We talked about it but she doesn't know that i'm actually thinking about getting them if i can...Might be a little while but it will happen.

Currently looking for a new phone for myself after using my partners hand me down Galaxy S8 for a long time and I would really love to stick with Samsung but all of their current phones are so big for someone with small hands like me. The only thing I don't like about the S20 FE is that Samsung obviously cut corners on the charger that is included in the box. Apart from the dropping the wired headphones they also minimized the charged to just freaking 15W and yet they priced it as $720 (here in the Philippines for the non-5G Exynos990 variant, cuz that's the only variant we have here in the Philippines). Even though months have passed I would still prefer Note10 Lite over this one cuz the only thing it doesn't have is the 120Hz screen refresh rate which if you think about it even iPhone 12/12 Pro series doesn't have too but priced at $1380 starting price (for the 128GB model iPhone 120 Pro Max) but overall if you can steal a Galaxy Note10 Lite, a used but pristine Galaxy S20+ (4G/5G)or Note10+ 4G/5G (which has bigger Internal Storage and RAM) I think they are still better than S20FE. #JustSaying

Warning, Proximity Sensor is a virtual one! Not a real one! I had major issues in recent days. I had this issue in my model, didn't notice it until after my review. I just bought a new Galaxy S20 FE (non-5G model) with 128GB/8GB RAM a week ago for $500. It was most definitely worth the price.

I've had mine for a month or so... And bought another one just because I love the galaxy phones. My last one is the s5.... So it's kinda a big change. Personally I feel like the is is awesome and the response is great. I love the night shots. This phone is totally worth it

Not sure why anyone would buy an S21 when it comes out (likely for $899 or $999 or more) when this exists.
Only hardcore fans would. Everyone else is going for the cheaper variants.
The specs would have to be completely unheard of and blow every other phone on the market out of the water for anybody to bother with a S21 😂
