First of all, I completely agree with your assessment about Apple users that haven’t tried the Samsung ecosystem. The truth is, everyone has specific needs. I use both. I do recommend the Apple system over the Samsung system to people that aren’t exactly tech savvy. Not meant to be a dig. They each have their advantages and strengths. I work tech and I try to take the knowledge and information of the user into account when I make recommendations. There is just a little higher learning curve with Samsung. I have some friends that still have trouble with their Samsung stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator all working together. By the same token you need your damned plugs for the Apple system to work. The internet of things is still in its infancy. I’m looking forward to seeing how all systems can rise to the challenge of taking into account the folks that just want it to work.
So… Yes and no. I too have been a long time Apple user and recently switched to the s24 Ultra/B2Pro. The B2Pro have way, and I mean way better sound, however, the battery life, transparency, and active noise cancellation are all not as good as the AirPods Pro 2. Also, my iPhone 13 Pro Max’s battery lasted for two days whereas the s24 Ultra needs to be charged every day. I know that these battery differences can be tweaked because certain updates have been better than the current iteration. Also, Apple has locked down the passwords and you are required to have a Mac in order to access them… It was a painful switch to say the least but I do love the s24 ultra.

Dex for PC for me works only with a cable, and is quiet laggy, when Windows MyPhone is wireless and fast with no lag ! Thats a bit weird knowing both the phone and laptop are Samsung ! Thats what I mean by the Samsung ecosystem being not what it should be,
Same here. Dex for Windows only works via cable on my Surface pro. The fact I have to authorise the connection every time I want to open an app from my S21 is so annoying.

I really liked the ecosystem initially because I could use their notes app on my windows work machine but Samsung changed it to where that app will only work on a galaxy device, which is too bad and very Apple like.

I just want "call and text on other devices" to work on a second (or more) (Samsung) phone. That it doesn't is an artificial limit that makes little sense.
would be nice if there was a windows application to sign in to Samsung accounts to have the same functions that you get with the laptops. I run a desktop and a different brand for a laptop and would be great to have them connected. Wireless Dex is cool. would be nice to have a basic display that runs dex from the phone. One device that does the processing and storage and then a larger display for being on the couch. This is a big reason I got the Fold\
HOpefully Samsung got you some seriously eexclusive deals though! What most people, at least in Canada don't realize is when you get a condo you get: Samsung Fridge, Samsung Washer and Dryer! That's the start of teh ecosystem.
@@techwithbenefits Sorry did not explain, I downloaded Samsung Dex but all it did was project Dex onto my windows PC. I wanted the extra monitor, copy and paste and file sharing features you had on the video
@Vincent-nx2mc you can drag and drop files using Samsung DeX from your phone to PC! Second Screen is (I think) downloadable from the windows store. Multi control I believe is just exclusive to Samsung laptops
@techwithbenefits thanks, i think what confused me is that you had a monitor with windows on it but it was actually a Samsung laptop projected on a monitor for this video?
The only thing why Apple is more successful is because of app optimization. App developers prefer apple and Android comes second when it comes to developing useful stuff. I think it's a valid point to prefer apple but since I've always been with android phones, I'll stick to it.
Actually, you are mistaken. As a developer, I can see that clients only want to optimize and smooth out the app on iOS because Apple covers more than 75% of the market share In US. This is a significant issue; people are paying more and getting less with Apple. Other companies are working harder but are not valued as much. Nowadays, people should opt for Android as it ensures value without depleting savings, unlike Apple.
I STILL want the S7/S8/S9 to BE the external monitor for the S22/S23/S24's Dex mode. There are some downloaded files or files LOCALLY stored on device (S23) that I'd like to view or manipulate or share to others require Dex to be done or preferrably to use Dex while mobile and roaming where public WiFi is not available nor mobile data feasible for Sync.
For me I mostly use the new Gemini assistant as it is an AI that can answer anything. Bixby I use occasionally to do local stuff like truning on flashlight.
I have 2 Google Home's in my house so it's easier to use voice commands with Google. Bixby is also only US or UK English and doesn't quite understand the Australian accent so often misunderstands me lol
If only Samsung would make as much efforts for its laptops (especially older models) than it does for its phones and tablets, they WILL have a real eco system. For now, its far from fluid between phone, PC and tablet. Even though I have most of the Samsung apps on my Galaxy Book Flex I7 from 2022, it lacks a lot of direct I/O from the phone and tablet as well as very poor responsiveness.
Saddly my pc is a flex 360 1st generation and I love it. I should commit to a gen 3 or 4, but its another 2500 canadian roupies ! I also boast a s23 ultra and a tab s8 plus, and for the same reason I am not ready to commit another 3 or 4 grands to get all benefits. Sad that Samsung doesnot update previous generations past a year or 2 !
The good thing with phones is they are now getting 7 generations of updates which is great. As far as PC goes, there is still lots to take advantage of! Samsung Flow, Link to Windows being 2 i can think of. Thanks for being a member!! Means a lot to me

It’s definitely a different approach to Apple. I don’t say it’s overall better but I would say it is different. It’s very similar to how android and Apple approach things. The thing that makes Samsung ecosystem is just the amount of actual stuff that is available in addition to computer and tablets and phones and AirPods that kind of stuff Also has appliances and televisions and what not however that is where it really is different. You have smart things available. I’m pretty much everything with Samsung versus not quite anywhere near as much Apple however, the integration with Apple is still far more superior things like being able to put my AirPods in with my Apple TV and have automatically connect or I can start an email and one device and pick up on the other whenever I back up from the cloud or take a picture or video whatever I’m doing it’s on all my other devices, listening to music in the car then getting home and being able just to tap my phone into one of my AirPods and pick it up right there etc. etc. it’s far more integrated, so does have some integration but it’s nowhere near as good but they have so many devices so it’s Even doubt depending on what you’re approach is if you just want share number of overall gadgets and things that are interconnected Samsung is the way to go, but overall just integration for the average portable devices a.k.a. phone TV tablet, computer watch and that kind of stuff then Apple is far away more integrated people need to remember that this year quantity of stuff doesn’t make something better when it comes to an ecosystem. It also has to be extremely well polished and optimized and something has a lot of features. It just doesn’t quite have that standard of polish to it. I’ll be incredible range of all the different devices that have televisions, computer monitors, etc..
Sorry but your 'integration claim' with Apple is weak! iOS 14/15.1 or lower (last I've tried) iPhone 13 mini or iPhone 14/15 Pro. 1 using Apple TV 4 or even 4HD, Apple Wireless Keyboard 2 Apple Magic Mouse 2 or GTrackPade 2 (space Grey) Now try to edit a document via Safari for Microsoft 365 or even Pages. Try moving that mouse pointer around see how SLOW & abyssmal that experience is! NO try editing your resume in MS Word for iOS LMAO! Its horrendous! Now lets see how well you do browsing the REAL web via Safari or any other browser outside of the EU - they all use Safari's engine and restrictions! the FACT to project to an external screen for iOS is STILL just a PHONE is attrocious! If you want the iPhone screen via AppleTV to be in landscape - which 99.9% of the time anyone would want you NEED to enable rotation and physically TURN the phone into landscape!!! what kind of nonsense IS that! Oh and you Can ONLY use iOS on external screen IF you have AppleTV! Oh enabled Apple's enhanced encryption on device and pray you do NOT forget your device lock password because their help during the process to add a contact that has iOS guess what will NEVER get teh prompt o assit you to unlock WHEN YOU DESPARATELY NEED IT! Those are HUGE glaring issues - then there was iOS 17.1 deleted photos coming back! that can get people into some HUGE trouble!! Reminds me of Craig F and team on macOS just before Big Sur having tghe default SUDO password to a common NEWB Error BLANK!!!Craig spent FAR TOO much time playing cutsey fro fans during recorded presentations - ridiculous for a professional with egregious issues like that. Lets not forget his famouse insult 9 yrs ago with NFC contact bumping on android ONLY to circle back saying a SLOWER UI that UNDOES a MUCH more EFFICIENT bluetooth sharing method is better than before!???? Sorry that is NOT better or seamless that's garbage.
Everything you said you do on Apple, you can do it on Samsung. An example: I'm listening music on my Galaxy Book with the Galaxy Buds, and suddenly I receive a call, If I take the call on my S8 Ultra or S23 Ultra the Buds automatically change the source and pause the music. Also happens with the Galaxy Watch.
i wish all that ecosistem comes to windows.. chromebooks are useless. also its very hard to find anything with support of samsung ecosystem except of very limited products of samsung itself, while apple have homekit and basically thousands of third party companies products support it
And galaxy watch is a great product but is usless monitoring heart health and sport in general. That's why people prefer Apple. One product makes the difference.
Apple is being follower since a long rather pioneer, and Apple is thinking now for a flip design following samsung. Samsung has way more practical user experience, apple can't even beat the S pen practicality.
Impressive, but US people are hooked to apple and nothing is going to change it. Personally, I use android phones and Mac but now with snapdragon X, I think my next computer will be windows again.
Only gripe I have on Samsung is they don't automatically attach your Samsung credit card to your Samsung Wallet app like Apple does. And also I can pay my phone payment on my apple phone in the Wallet app on my iPhone. Samsung don't do that.
It's not even close to Apple, it's incomparable for a company to make the operating system for all its devices, while Samsung depends on Android and Windows, and the UI is really ugly.
A lot of the extra features Samsung have is a nice to have but unnecessary. The things I do care about is worse on Android (watch, earbuds, headphones, airtag). Apple builds things people need while Samsung builds interesting tech.
I have 2 Samsung frame tvs and a smart fridge. Which none of it works properly. On and offline even when the tvs have Ethernet wired connections. UI’s are just garbage. On all 3 of these devices.
Our media is FILLED with Apple fans. So at last we have someone say the opposite... My brother used to be a Microsoft fan, but when he started to follow this "Media" thing, now he's all into Apple and that's why I'm saying that our media is filled up with Apple fans.
I tried for a solid two years, giving apple a chance. I just couldn't stand it anymore and had to run back to samsung and android. Nothing apple has copied from android and samsung has made me want to go back to apple. They get everything long after we get it on android or samsung.
Sadly with Apple lock-in to the ecosystem, no matter how hard Samsung tries, Apple Users will buy the next iPhone. And with apple knowing this, they will not innovate to compete...there is no need.
The ONLY thing you mentioned that Apple doesn’t do is Dex (and you also need an AppleTV in order to connect to your tv instead of doing it directly (which makes it more secure), but Sidecar, Handoff and Continuity, among other features, while not being an actual computer replacement system, are able to expand your computer in useful ways - and Apple did these FIRST! I’d rather pick an ecosystem that works seamlessly and has security as a primary focus - but maybe that’s just me. Yes, the cost of entry for Apple is higher, but the benefits for me are definitely worth it.
As an Apple user of all the Android products, Samsung is the one I would want to go to because of its ecosystem is the only one that comes close to Apples. It would be like going from a beautiful walled garden to a really nice fenced one.

And i can't get my 8th gen iPad with the public beta iPad OS 18 to recognize a thumbdrive as external storage and only functions as backup. Please...
90 degrees rotation is for tv laid in portrait. That makes sense because if we are to mirror our phone its most likely portrait 😊
I sure enjoyed this insightful video, thank you!! 😊
I had a question ... If someone is wanting to start up their own business, then why do so many say and think they need apples ecosystem to do that? Can't you do that on and with samsungs ecosystem?
I've never heard anyone say that, but if I did I would politely ignore it and internally be calling them crazy. Not because Apple products are bad or anything, I think they're a perfectly viable option - but so are all other big tech brands.
@@sparky6757 I’ve just heard so many people say that they went to apple to start their own businesses using iPads, or MacBooks, etc… they’ve made it seem like it’s not possible to do with other brands and ecosystems 🤷♀️
Apple Mafia never rests. They still keep pushing that it works flawlessly. Yeah about that alarm clock not working is that flawless smh...
@Anamae5451 🤣 very true. I've heard about the alarm clock
Btw a lot of this functionality is available to all android devices/windoss devices via KDE connect. I use samsung and still use it.
@@432wheels exactly, thats what I mean when I say Samsung can do way better ! I dont like Apple, but have to admit all their Items work together fluently, which here is NOT the case !
Have you got the phone and laptop both on the same network (5ghz is preferred). I've never had trouble connecting wireless dex to any of my laptops, Samsung or otherwise.
@@techwithbenefits of course yes
@@techwithbenefits yes. It specifically says to plug in via cable and does nothing till I do.
Samsung phone app for windows doesn't work with s24 and samsung book3 360
I really liked the ecosystem initially because I could use their notes app on my windows work machine but Samsung changed it to where that app will only work on a galaxy device, which is too bad and very Apple like.
that moment when you're sitting back watching an excellent video and you see your thumbnail come up for your pod 💪🏻03:55 - catch ya in London soon mate
Eagle eye David! Was a good episode too. See you soon mate!
Idk why i wasn't subbed to you but i just fixed that, good videos bro, you might be the only creator who can actually teach me something new
One thing that Samsung needs to hire someone to fix is notification sync across devices. Its insane that they dont have that for us!
Agreed you are absolutely correct
Just a tip, censor device trigger phrases!
When you were turning on your air conditioner, my phone picked you up and somehow managed to turn your video off, which is hilarious. 😅
Samsung Multi Control looks pretty great - Like Apple's Universal control but we don't get to include the phone yet. I'm impressed!
Yeah I appreciate the phone being included. The drag and drop between makes file transfers easy
@@techwithbenefits We get that to iPad, not iPhone. Surely that's "flip a switch" level changes to add it? Roll on WWDC!
Hi daniel - I need to install samsung notes on my new ASUS i7 laptop
You dont need a samsung laptop for second screen, i have a lenovo gaming laptop and it works great with my Tab S9 FE
Did you use a cellphone camera to record this video?
Sure did! S23 Ultra
Awesome!
Love mine, echwithbenefits I hope the August update doesn't change anything for the bad.
AWESOME video as always. Thank you for simplying instructions how samsung exho works.👏
Hi Daniel - how do I subscribe to your excellent site?
Click on the 'join' tab and follow through the options given
Im outside, at work, but I panic so much every time a video says "Hey Google" that i screamed "stop", outside, to no one.
he got ;ile almost every samsung tech !! that what samfans dream of
I've spent some money 😅
HOpefully Samsung got you some seriously eexclusive deals though!
What most people, at least in Canada don't realize is when you get a condo you get:
Samsung Fridge, Samsung Washer and Dryer! That's the start of teh ecosystem.
how do I get this app on windows?
Samsung DeX? Type Samsung DeX for PC into Google and it'll be there somehwere
@Vincent-nx2mc ah yes correct. The laptop was off camera and I had the monitor displaying the laptop!
I just adjusted the volume on my Samsung M7 Smart monitor with my galaxy watch 5😅 with the help of this video. 😊 And I just paused my Netflix video, 😂
How good is that feeling! Thanks for joining too by the way! Great to have you here
Samsung for the win ❤
Do I need a samsung laptop to work like this? Right now I have a windows laptop thats not samsung
Wish they worked between my Samsung phone and my MacBook.
Great video, only one question: as a heavy samsung user, do you use bixby or recomand bixby? I saw you use google assistant in your home but still...
Means a lot to me
@@techwithbenefits Well thanks. I am still a bit skeptical about the book4pro360, but theres a 500 $ discount right now for an I7 16 gb 1TB.... (The wife will definitely kill me)
Haha i know the feeling about the wife questioning my tech spend.
I got the book 4 ultra and it's been a worthy investment for my usage so far. But everyone's use case is different. $500 off is quite decent though!
Do you know why dex screen definition is so bad ? (Wireless use here)
@@techwithbenefits All right. Received my Book 4 Pro ! Amazing machine with the S23 and Tab S8 plus ! Way better thant just Windows Your Phone ! Had some hard time seting up everything, especially the My phone part of it, but all is ggod now, and its really an incredible machine and ecosystem ! I am sure I will not regret it. Your channel is a gold mine for Samsung, and as I am a long time user of their products, I am glad I found you ! Cheers mate !
Now, if Samsung were to make a flagship Chromebook, Something in the league of Acer's 714. I would pay $800 for a Chromebook Plus from Samsung.
1 using Apple TV 4 or even 4HD,
Apple Wireless Keyboard 2
Apple Magic Mouse 2 or GTrackPade 2 (space Grey)
Now try to edit a document via Safari for Microsoft 365 or even Pages.
Also happens with the Galaxy Watch.
i wish all that ecosistem comes to windows.. chromebooks are useless. also its very hard to find anything with support of samsung ecosystem except of very limited products of samsung itself, while apple have homekit and basically thousands of third party companies products support it
You look like steve jobs in Samsung Version
And galaxy watch is a great product but is usless monitoring heart health and sport in general. That's why people prefer Apple. One product makes the difference.
Apple is being follower since a long rather pioneer, and Apple is thinking now for a flip design following samsung. Samsung has way more practical user experience, apple can't even beat the S pen practicality.
Tell me youve never used an Apple Pencil without telling me you’ve never done so lol
At the moment, the others can't even hold a candle to the S24 Ultra. I always buy the 1TB versions.
I'm using chromebook plus laptop 💻
If the laptops didn't have screen breaking issues, thermal issues, or run Windows it'd be the best ecosystem.
Because of Windows. Android and Tizen are both made and owned by Samsung while Windows is a Microsoft Program
Shame I can't get a Samsung laptop here in Aus
Try the website www.bigapplebuddy.com
That's how I imported mine. They buy from best buy then ship it overseas!
@@techwithbenefits thanks for that link 🤙
You said hey google, and my phone activated, gosh, that is not my voice. Weird
Bruv man activated my ac 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
It's not even close to Apple, it's incomparable for a company to make the operating system for all its devices, while Samsung depends on Android and Windows, and the UI is really ugly.
A lot of the extra features Samsung have is a nice to have but unnecessary. The things I do care about is worse on Android (watch, earbuds, headphones, airtag). Apple builds things people need while Samsung builds interesting tech.
Please answer 😢 will the Galaxy S24 Ultra SPen work with the Galaxy S23 Ultra with air actions? Please do it no one does my request 🥲
The US anti trust lawsuit will fix that. Apple will be forced to innovate when they can no longer trap their customers in their walled jail.
Samsung is way ahead of Apple, ecosystem-wise, including innovation. Apple is stuck in the past.
I'm just curious, Are you aware that when you say the words hey.
Google what happens to devices all around the world?
You turned on my bedroom AC, 😂😢
As an Apple user of all the Android products, Samsung is the one I would want to go to because of its ecosystem is the only one that comes close to Apples. It would be like going from a beautiful walled garden to a really nice fenced one.
it didn't came close to apple's. it has surpassed it you fruitlover.
Samsung better than Apple it over took apple phone years ago. You must have noticed you never see a line out side apple stores anymore. Samsung stop that with Samsung galaxy s4
@@anglosaxonbreed lines stopped in front of stores because of online shopping… I agree that Samsung has overtaken iPhone as phone king, but Apple’s Ecosystem still reigns supreme. (Yes Samsung has appliances, but that adds numbers to ecosystem not quality of the ecosystem.)
You say you can use Tablet as a second screen to the Laptop, yet you don't use your laptop screen as a second screen to your monitor?
Where the laptop sits on my desk (standing desk that is) it doesn't quite fit underneath the monitor seamlessly enough.
I hope samsung makes a car cause it would be lame to have all samsung and then buy xiaomi su7 which works with another eco system
it pains me alot that samsung dont know how to market there product well enough
samsung is way ahead of apple yet....people dont know it all because samsung dont sell this features enough through aggressive marketing
What is the best solution for gallery photos, and I really don't like Google Photos. I think Apple has done a great job here.
