Great video. I remember having Samsung Level One on ear headphones few years back and it was just awesome . Just a petty Samsung is missing in this field now
as a complete ecosystem user, the weakest link is the laptops. 90% of the "ecosystem features" can be achieved with phone link in windows. nearly all samsung apps are installable through microsoft store. Even the notes app can be made to run on any device using a powershell script. The "Seamless earbuds switching" outright does not work in most cases. in the rare instance it works, it's terribly buggy between laptop and mobile devices. it's good between tab & mobile though.
The switching works pretty well if you have the buds 2 pro or the 3 series with a newer galaxy book, Samsung Find is the biggest reason I got the Galaxy Book it natively connects into Samsung's find network and for someone who loses his stuff often it's a must have. Also copy paste works natively with all 3 devices the book, tab and phone unlike limiting to 2 devices with phonelink. MMulticontrol is also nice. Samsung notes works better and more stable on Galaxy books. S Pen interchangeably works on 360 galaxy book, tab and any S pen compatible galaxy. Also access to Samsung pass which I rely on.
@nafeeahnaf6296 I do have the buds 2 pro and book 4 pro. It doesn't do seamlessly very well. I agree the find my is a good feature, i do not have any problem with the notes app in my pc. Same goes for copy paste working across phone, tablet and pc/book 4 pro.
This is good to know as I really don't another device. 3+ laptops, phone, samsung tablet, iPad, kindle, and steam deck is already too many. My laptops are all getting old and would prefer just replacing them all with 1 mini pc down the road.
Actually @MikeOBrienMedia, you don't get aptdx, snapdragon sound and other high res codecs except Ldac for samsung phones, making you dependent on ssc.
Samsung Smart TV and Smart monitor is also part of the ecosystem. It's a nice touch that my TV mutes itself when I have a call on my Samsung phone. Or that I get calendar alarm on my TV. I know this video isn't exhaustive but man, it's a big disappointment those weren't discussed.
As a samsung user of 10 years i can tell you right now without even watching this video that yes the samsung ecosystem is worth every penny. I have the s24 ultra as my main device. Zfold6 as my work phone, tab s10 ultra as my editing machine "im a photographer" all of my home appliances are also samsung. This makes my life easy because i can control everything with the samsung smart things app.
Z Flip 6 - Galaxy Buds 3 & Live (prefer the Live but they don't charge as quick) - Galaxy Fit 3 - Galaxy Tab S7 FE - Samsung 70 Inch TV - Samsung Tag. I love Samsung's ecosystem and variety. They are no longer the clunky Samsung UI riddled devices with all those water drop noises. They provide consistent experiences and have improved so much over the years. I will admit that there are some issues I run into here and there as far as connecting to other devices, but overall I experience great consistency.
Thank you for this video. I have a Samsung tablet and watch but a Pixel phone. I have been thinking about going back to Samsung and getting the S25 Ultra when it comes out in January. This video helped verify my decision.
My favourite products by far is the connectivity between my S24 and my samsung tv. Smart View is amazing! And it's really stable and smooth for a wireless connection.
I just bought a samsung s9+ tablet and buds FE. The ecosystem has come along way!!! My next purchase would be a watch and I'll look to get a laptop when I'm America next year. I love the tablet I used it as a 2nd screen the other day which was great!! Samsung just needs better accessories like a better keyboard for the tablet. I bought the dexnor keyboard and it's great!!
Thanks for the video. I've been asking for this ecosystem video for a long time now. Most people don't know how big the Samsung ecosystem is and how well everything works together.
Hey Mike. Former Samsung employee weighing in. While MST was magical, I think at this point it might be irrelevant as the last device to use this technology was the Note 20 ultra which is officially 4 years old. That much said, fantastic video I think you did a great job breaking down the Samsung ecosystem and paint the picture of how it is now at lead on parity with Apples ecosystem, and in many ways has a leg up on it. Love the videos, so nice I subscribed twice!
I love my ecosystem galaxy S24 - entertainment, communication galaxy watch 6 classic -health tracking acts as a control center Galaxy Buds fe-audio with great fit and outstanding noise cancellation Galaxy tab a9-digital notetaking with universal, capacitive stylus Gonna buy a galaxy book soon
Just bought buds 3 pro for my s23 and thinking about buing a watch. Cant decide between 4 classic or 6 classic. I just don't want to overpay for something im not gonna use.
I never intended to become involved in a tech ecosystem. But when I used the Samsung products, it was good enough to use budget models from the A series for me.
I might have glossed over the part of MST but I believe MST for contactless payment with older credit card machine ended with the Gear S3 in 2017 for watches and the last Samsung phone with MST was the Note 20 Ultra in 2020. I loved the feature because some businesses I went to would say, "we don't accept Apple pay" then I would swipe my phone over their payment terminal and then it will just ring up.
hey, i grew up in Belmar 😊 i just bought the book 3 and dont see samsung internet preinstalled, nor is it in the microsoft store. how do i get this on my galaxy book?!
The reason I'm in this ecosystem is quite simple. I scoop up the older refurbished models for way less money, since samsung refurbished things are just so cheap. I got my watch 4c a year ago for $90, buds pro 1 a year ago for $60, buds 2 pro recently for $75, and s23 for $300. (Also Samsung just makes most of their products really well.)
Some of my favorite features of the Samsung ecosystem are receiving calendar alerts on my tv, my tv volume decreasing when I get a call, and in my kitchen I can't see the tv so I mirror what's on my Samsung oled to my S9 Ultra. It's great when guests are over and I don't want to miss out.
It sucks that these smartwatches are starting to force you into the same brand phone, that’s pretty much the whole reason I don’t wear one. So happy that you brought up MST, it was the leading feature for me until Samsung removed it. Walmart refuses to enable NFC tap to pay and actively blocked MST to try forcing people into paying through the Walmart app, so it was fun to try using Samsung pay at Walmart because it would freeze the checkout terminals forcing them to have to restart it lol.
I've been in the Samsung ecosystem since at least 2020... As of now I have the Watch7, S24 ultra, Buds Pro2 (really hesitant on getting the 3 pro), and the s9 FE tablet!
I think honestly. Coming from a diehard Samsung fan and user. Id skip half the stuff they sell. It's like apple. You don't need every little thing. Id say if you want the best and most out of it. A phone, watch and tablet (maybe the buds. Id recommend the beans cause they are cheaper and offer basically the same things. Minus some less quality audio but it's still superb) the tablet is honestly pretty underrated being able to pick up where you left off, having a second monitor with windows, dex and so much more. But id recommend those three mostly.
Second screen app allows you to use any Windows laptop and a Galaxy Tablet the way you've described in the video. Other than that , I do think the ecosystem is worth it.
Is there a file sync option? I want to have all my important documents on my phone, my tablet, my laptop (Windows), and in the cloud? Looking for an instant automatic sync option. Would be happy for some suggestions.
I have Fold 4, S21 ultra, buds 2, watch 5, Tab S9 plus. Have an HP laptop, but I'm not looking to replace it soon. I'm planning to get either Watch 7 or watch se, as for the rest I'm quite happy with them and see no need to update just yet. I use quickshare on my laptop, so that is useful.
I noticed using my buds3pro with Pixel 9 Pro XL watching videos the volume fades in and out if I turn my head but no issues on zfold5. Have you experienced this?
I just really wish they would sort out their laptops. They always seem to be a generation behind on design and performance. Everything else is great. A Samsung headphone would be a great addition to the core ecosystem. Software wise, a central device manager app for your devices would be nice (like honor has on its laptops). This isn't crucial, but bringing samsung browser to windows would be good too.
Im about to add to my Samsung ecosystem. Took me a while but im getting the Galaxy Buds FE and Galaxy Fit 3 to pair with my Galaxy A34. Where i live things are very pricey
This is what keeps me stuck to Samsung. I control my house with my phone. TV, dishwasher, and laundry. I don't remember the dishwasher but what's. The other thing to consider is, you can do all this and more from just about any Samsung phone for $200 to $1,800 dollar phone. Very impressive. I will say it's a learning curve but once you get get you understand how smart products make life easier.
I think it worth, just depends who are y , how are y into one ecosystem, I have s24, buds 3, galaxy watch active 2, even though laptop is acer , but I love samsung, even TV, even fridge and microwave , by the way Tam still a student , just obsessed with tech 💯💯🔧📱
As someone with a little of both I think that Samsung's is definitely more smoother. I have a S21, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (on the way i have the buds fe right now) I think it's definitely the smoothest and most integrated. On the other side of the table I have a iPhone 12 Mini and Airpods Pro 2's, I'm looking for used apple watch right now and the Airpods do connect very smoothly and have better ambient sound but their so restricted. But even if I do find a Apple Watch I'm still gonna hand it to Samsung especially for the hardware, software, features, and the other bells and whistles.
Being in Australia I can never be fully in the ecosystem as Samsung don't sell any laptops here. As such, I'll never be a Samsung notes user and I suppose can't do seamless switching of audio with earbuds. Same goes for using Samsung internet :(
Seamless switching is available as part of the bluetooth spec now, most modern (non apple) earbuds should be able to do it. I dont think samsung internet actually offers anything that chrome, firefox, vivaldi, zen etc etc can do and it's also not available on pc.
Fold 4 here. I used to make use of the ecoststem concept, but it limits the available technology I moved Shokx this year, theres hardly a difference in daily use. I do lose 360 audio etc thats proprietary but thats no big deal for me
I think the connection between Samsung phones, tablets, and wearables is pretty solid, but the real struggle is linking phones or tablets to PCs. It’s a mess because Google and Microsoft aren't teaming up, so Samsung's stuck trying to make Android and Windows work together. It's like they're the parent trying to stop their kids from fighting.
it's a decent ecosystem, i'm partially in it but i feel that i can use devices that are not in the ecosystem with those that are and not be punished for it. my phone, watch and ear buds are all samsung but my laptops have always been a variety of brands depending on what the specs are for my needs. i have headphones from sony when i don't want to use buds. ecosystem stuff has always been secondary to me, the build quality and specs are more important to me and samsung have been delivering on that consistently for me. i'll jump to something else if/when samsung disappoint me and i can just leave the ecosystem with no trouble.
Currently using s24U previously had s23U, s22U, s21U. I'm getting tired of the dependency on Google. Google is single handedly ruining android. Samsung makes great products. Google is very inconsistent and has too many bugs and hiccups that are REALLY taking away from my experience. Google loads very slow on any network, chrome lags alot, Google play store never auto updates apps and it is literally impossible to solve that issue. I have loved and defended android for a long time but I'm thinking of switching to IOS. Samsung is great, Google is very very bad.
@@detached336 just switched to apple yesterday got a 16 pro max and my god is it so much better. You can customize everything so much more than the last time I had iOS. Also everything is smooth as butter no hiccups at all
I don't rly like smart rings. They're more expenssive than watches and do far less but if you rly want to buy one,i'd say you should still go for the galaxy ring over any other ring. Shure, you're not missing out on much echosystem wise BUT is the best ring you can get for 1 big reason: price. Every other smartring(to my knolage) are cheapper but require a subscription. The galaxy ring is a one time payment and is in the echosystem
Hi (nice test) I have noticed that the frame around the 50MP periscope telephoto camera on my phone is slightly tilted, approximately 5-7 degrees off from the vertical or relative to the phone's vertical edge. This seems like it could be an assembly issue during production. Could other users with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens check their cameras for any similar tilt in the frame relative to the vertical or phone edge? I’d appreciate any feedback on this. Thank you!
I have a decent amount of Samsung devices, I had an S23U, Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, Galaxy buds, Samsung Tab 8, Samsung tv, Samsung washer and dryer, and a $3k Samsung fridge and I have to say, quality over quantity, I think in theory it should all work well but compared to my Apple ecosystem which I have phone, AirPods, AWU and iPad, it just doesn’t feel as smooth and like they talk to each other as well. The Samsung phone and tablets are nice but the wearables just suck (I’ve had a total of four so far) and the tv and fridge just lag which for the amount of money I paid for them is kind of like “what the heck Samsung” the washer and dryer are ok, but when we asked for suggestions for new washers and dryers people kept saying avoid Samsung which we didn’t since it was one of the few companies with the feature we wanted.
That I was looking for Thanks ! . I have the phone, Im not really sure to get a Samsung laptop or A tab . Like I get the same specs laptop from hp + Samsung tab for the price of Book 4 pro 360 . Please help 🙏
Watching this on my Pixel mobile with Galaxy buds pro 3 and a 51mm Garmin Epix watch on my RH wrist and pixel watch 3 45mm on my LH wrist. I like to pick and mix. Had Samsung TVs over the years. They used to be good, not any more. Samsung washing machine is good. One thing with Samsung mobiles (i have a Z Fold 5) - dont like the two app stores requirong updating and updates are much later than Pixel, here in the UK.
to me it really depends on your use cases for each item. I use my phone for everything so of course I would want the best of the best. but I'm also perfectly satisfied with a galaxy watch 4 classic and galaxy tab s7, especially since my tablet is pretty much a glorified e-reader lol. my galaxy book2 pro is still extremely quick anf responsive and deftly handles the editing and writing it do on it. big fan of the screen too. most of those items I got for pennies on the dollar compared to if I wanted the best of the best of all those items. that said, I think the galaxy buds are the only ones I've updated every time a new one has come out. might upgrade to the galaxy watch ultra soon, but it isn't a must have for now.
I've been a life long samsung user and I have one BIG problem with any samsung buds connecting to any samsung galaxy book. Please please please... test this. I'm telling you I get them to connect initially but any time after is like a 99% fail rate... it's been happening for generations and no one talks about if.
The vast majority of these features are available across ecosystems (screen mirroring, cross device text messaging, browser sync, password managers, multi-point Bluetooth, etc). People dislike apple because of their closed ecosystem and so they turn to android, what is the point of doing that if you are just going to lock yourself into another walled garden being run by another massive singular corporation. The answer for any ecosystem is always no, it's not worth it to limit yourself to a singular device manufacturer. Buy the best product for your particular needs.
Too late, Lol. Got the S24 Ultra, Watch Ultra, Buds 3 Pro, and 2 Smart tag+. Although I have an iPad as my main tablet. I'm considering the Galaxy Ring though.
I don't like walled ecosystems and prefer to buy open/interoperable devices so I'm not locked into a particular brand and can buy the best of each category. I can appreciate some of these interoperabilities created by Samsung for their devices, but they should be working with the Android consortium/Open Handset Alliance to have them standardised across brands and open to Apple devices too where not restricted/blocekd by Apple.
As someone who came from the Pixel ecosystem and now uses a Fold 5, Buds Pro 3, and Watch 7, this ecosystem has come a long way and is now phenomenal

I have a z fold 6 galaxy watch 4 and galaxy buds3 pro and i love all the features, i am so blessed to have these things by the way❤
How do you like the buds 3 pro? If you have buds20 or buds 2 pro how do they compare? I'm not a fan of the design at all I love the buds 2 and buds 2pro look a lot and they never fall from my ear and amazing battery just the mic can do better
Big fan, love your work. I want to ask what's your take on spatial audio on earbuds
Great video!!
Definitely worth going with Samsung Ecosystem.
Bro forgot the tank
💀💀💀
I've been in the eco system for a couple of years now, and you can definitely see the improvement and how much more seamless it has become.
For me the big one is Smart view to my TV and then using my phone as the controller...... It even lets me control playback from my watch
Why not just use Dex instead?
I love these videos! Could you do a Google Pixel ecosystem?
I've invested STRONGLY into the eco-system!!! The last thing I need is the Samsung laptop! I have the tablet but I still have an older Lenovo laptop
Yep, when Google kills fitbit for good is when I will switch to a galaxy watch.
Thanks for the video. I've been asking for this ecosystem video for a long time now. Most people don't know how big the Samsung ecosystem is and how well everything works together.
waiting for samsung ecosystem vs pixels ecosystem
Hey Mike. Former Samsung employee weighing in. While MST was magical, I think at this point it might be irrelevant as the last device to use this technology was the Note 20 ultra which
is officially 4 years old. That much said, fantastic video I think you did a great job breaking down the Samsung ecosystem and paint the picture of how it is now at lead on parity with Apples ecosystem, and in many ways has a leg up on it. Love the videos, so nice I subscribed twice!
Thank you!
Huge shoutout from me buddy, I loved this and other videos as well thanks so much ❤️❤️
Mike, keep up with your reviews man!
We look forward to them!
I love my ecosystem
galaxy S24 - entertainment, communication
galaxy watch 6 classic -health tracking acts as a control center
Galaxy Buds fe-audio with great fit and outstanding noise cancellation
Galaxy tab a9-digital notetaking with universal, capacitive stylus
Gonna buy a galaxy book soon
Just bought buds 3 pro for my s23 and thinking about buing a watch. Cant decide between 4 classic or 6 classic. I just don't want to overpay for something im not gonna use.
get 6 classic its more looking good
I never intended to become involved in a tech ecosystem.
You forgot their appliances and TV 😏 ....its really take their ecosystems on a whole another level . That what really sold me
The buds fe have the live translate! I also love the wing tips for fit. Great as my everyday use buds.
Is the samsung Calendar Sync with S-Pen hand writing into another device (e.g. Phone to tablet)
I'd love if you tried the xiaomi ecosystem; their smart devices range is unparalleled so I'm curious how well it works, especially in the West.
Keep in mind samsung owns akg harman kardon jbl and B&O, so if you need earphones etc.... make your choics !
How about the samsung chromebooks? Do they also tie into the ecosystem?
I do really like the Samsung eco system. I also agree that they should already have a smart speaker and over-the-ear earphones.
Very nice video
I used to make use of the ecoststem concept, but it limits the available technology
I moved Shokx this year, theres hardly a difference in daily use.
I do lose 360 audio etc thats proprietary but thats no big deal for me
Samsung phone, watch, tv.
These are required but where it ends.
IPad
Off brand over the ear buds
I bought a book3 360 and my experience is great with it.
I would ALMOST accept a samsung led os at this point google has fallen off so hard in the last 5-7 years
@@detached336 just switched to apple yesterday got a 16 pro max and my god is it so much better. You can customize everything so much more than the last time I had iOS. Also everything is smooth as butter no hiccups at all
And why it is better than apple?
Because you doesn't need all samsung products to use as ecosystem.
Any windows laptop will do the job.
The appliances I heard suck but TV and Phone wise I like it. The headphones need work but I'll be here forever.
Hi (nice test)
I have noticed that the frame around the 50MP periscope telephoto camera on my phone is slightly tilted, approximately 5-7 degrees off from the vertical or relative to the phone's vertical edge. This seems like it could be an assembly issue during production.
Could other users with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens check their cameras for any similar tilt in the frame relative to the vertical or phone edge? I’d appreciate any feedback on this.
Thank you!
i like the samsung SmartTag2 tracker so much so i'll be sticking with samsung bcoz of that
I am a widnows guy. That's the only ecosystem that I''ve got with windows, close to apple. So, I like it.
My favorite tech product made by Samsung is the K9 Thunder
Only device that can connect 2 A/C, TV, washer N dryer, refrigerator, micro wave, auto mop vacuum. So many keeps getting on N on.
I'm in the ecosystem and loving it ❤
Your choice, end of video
I rock S24 Ultra, Galaxy Buds FE, Galaxy 6 Classic, S9 FE..... yes the Samsung Eco System.
Is the tank also part of the ecosystem?
Thank you very much!
Do a Google Pixel Ecosystem next! Please.
I manage to install samsung apps on my hp laptop its awesome to use quickshare and multicontrol without a expensive samsung laptop
I already have a tablet and am planning on getting a watch, and i have a oneplus phone and was wondering if i should switch to samsung.
Worth it , their watch ui is kinda bad tho I would just go to Huawei for smartwatch. People don't know much about Huaweis smartwatches sadly
