The only legit complains for this phone would be the 6GB ram. Hope Samsung can slim down their One UI in their 3.0 release, because I don't think the 6GB ram will fair well during the 3 times it will be updated.
I've been an S series user since the S5 and this is definitely the best of the series so far. Upgrading from an S9 felt like a worthwhile step up. With an upgrade deal from Verizon + S9 trade in, I only paid ~ $300 for it.

I wish they had more colors available for its successor. We got olive, lavender, and black. Colors felt less vibrant and a tad dull. Like they were trying to save money but also didn't put much thought in the appearance like that. I'd almost rather conservative colors over more colorful but muted paint.
Orange 🍊 is my colour pick and this time samsung get it right shame though there is no headphone jack but dolby atmos stereo speakers is a nice plus. S20 Fe is definitely my match thanks for the review brother.
I've watched every video on the s20 fe that I could find, and this one is by far the best! Thank you! I bought the cloud navy. I love all of the pretty colors, but i case my phone anyway, so the navy was a good choice for me. This is the phone that finally brought me back to Samsung. I'm loving it so far!
Best comment. Ive been stuck with Motorola for years abd after watching many reviews i convinced myself to get the FE. Best decision yet. The only downside...i wanted the phone now, so i got the navy...i couldnt wait weeks for the cloud red
I'm still planning on getting this phone, but they really should've included the 25 watt charger and 8GB of RAM for the base model... Especially considering the 5G variant starts at $699
Ended up getting the orange 5G version. Pretty solid phone for the price. It's sad that flagship phone prices from a few years ago are now considered mid range. I've actually gone back to 60hz to get as much as I can out of the battery. I don't really notice as much of a difference as people are letting on. One thing I'm not a "fan" of is the ram management is a bit too aggressive, similar to that on the P20 Pro which makes me wonder if it's because 6GB is not enough or if the OS does it to conserve battery.
I currently have a Galaxy S8+ and haven't upgraded because of the 1,000+ prices. With then S20 FE , now is the time for me to upgrade. Made my pre-order already.
Great job Michael! as usual. you are the only reviewer that noticed that the ultra wide on the s20FE is different from the s20. aside from the FoV, the SE has 1 microns pixels and the regular s20 has 1.4 microns pixels on the ultra wide. so different sensors, as well.
Already have it in cloud Navy, 128 g, 6gb ram, 865 . It is great and just so people know another difference in s20 vs s20 fe is display at 1080P with fe. S20 I belive is in the 1300 to 1400 range x 3120. However, to use the 120hz refresh rate the s20 drops to 1080p, which again is what the fe has anyway at 1080p.
I have the S10e, and while it's been good to me, I'm really thinking this is the route I want to go. Plus the fact that I'm on Boost Mobile, and my service is making their network changes, necessitating an upgrade as my phone is incompatible with the new network. But this phone looks like it'll be a very enjoyable user experience
Have had my S20 FE 5G for over a year. It is absolutely a gem. I am not concerned about the cameras, as I rarely take photos. However, the phone has been flawless in connectivity, speed, memory, and battery life. I was able to get a great offer from AT&T: pay half the cost of the phone via a 3-year payment plan. Instead of paying $800, I pay $400. I'll complete this agreement and then see what the market has available.
I actually like the plastic back. So sick of the glass. I have an s8 plus and dropped it to the floor when I woke up and the whole backside is cracked and I have for glass in my finger as well when using it. It's crashed but it still stay in place but it sharp
I have the S20 5G FE and it has been Awesome. It Does every task flawlessly. As for the plastic back, who cares as long as it operates as advertised! Camera function has turned out to be a plus, taking studio quality photos 📷👌👏!!! The only down side is finding a case in a Big box store. But never fear, lol Amazon came through for $14 with the belt clip!
Pre ordered! Was going to wait for the pixel 5 now I'm glad I didn't. For the same price I'm getting a better SOC 120hrtz screen with more real estate and in my opinion an interesting OS with oneui.
my main priority in a smartphone is the camera, thats why im gonna wait for the Pixel 5 personally, and also the iPhone 12 Max which is the iPhone 11's successor i think.. plus i think Samsungs software is very bloated just like many other OS's Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo etc etc.. i like my Android clean and stock, thats why i like Oxygen OS and Pixel OS..
Went from S7 edge to S9. Upgrade for sure, and a big change personally. Went from S9 to S20FE4G and it is just a strict upgrade with no experience changes. Bigger, better battery, faster, better camera but still the same S9 I loved dearly for 2 years (save for the lack of curved screen, this is fine though because the edge features are still there). Recommended for sure. Aside from the lack of a headphone jack, strict downgrade in that sense.
Your way of presentation is just awesome. I was magnetized to the video till the end. I do own a S20Fe 5G (Mint colour) and I am happy with it. I did subscribe and liked. Keep up the good work.
I got $450 for my S10+ trade in, and Samsung price matched Amazon's price of $599.99. Plus Samsung was offering $70 for accessories. So it was $149.99, and $60 for the Fit 2 plus taxes.

Thanks for this review. It was by far the most detailed and enjoyable to watch. I have this phone coming tomorrow, and I'm genuinely excited to get it after watching this!
Great review. Upgraded from an S9 and overall I am pleased. Miss the curve however everything else including rewatching this video is an amazing experience.
7 to 8 months in now... I ended up getting 2 units. I used the Cloud Navy S20FE for about 6 weeks... then gave it to my dad. Because i like it so much... i bought another unit and gave it to my mom. She got the Cloud Orange one. S20FE is da bomb! Such a bargain for value Samsung flagship device...
I just got mine 2 days ago and I'm sure that I'll be more satisfied when I better understand all the possibilities. As for now, the phone is snappy... Battery life is great... and there are plenty of options to customize the device to my liking. Nothing is too difficult to find or hard to understand. Also, since I don't have a SnapDragon to compare it to, I find the Exynos 990 to be perfectly acceptable. It does everything that I ask of it.
upgraded from S8 to S20 FE 5G....seems like a nightmare is over.....S8 with Exynos processor would heat a lot and I was always using it in battery saving mode :)
The sensible decision by Samsung. Apple nailed it by following OnePlus by having a circa $700 device with the flagship SoC. OnePlus pretty much signposted that was the way to go and Apple did the right thing. Samsung also followed OP and we had the S10 Lite and now the S20 FE. So for me, this is the best way to pitch at the $600-700 range. I think that Google will fail with the Pixel 5 because they cheap out on the SoC. Even at $600, we expect these phones to have a 5-year lifespan so having the best chip at launch is clearly the optimum solution. You then work around that to get to that lower pricing. Saying that, the problem with the S20 FE is it does not release at the same time as the rest of the s20 line. We know Samsung phones depreciate mega fast and currently the S10+ is around the same price as the 5g S20 FE. They have therefore created a juxtaposition and it is a bit mystifying? Anyway, unless you can get a discount on the FE, the S20+ remains the better choice at the current similar pricing especially as both will get the same length of warranty and update cycle.
Your statement is wrong. Samsung has always released $700 dollar phones, the Galaxy S8 and S9 which I'm currently using was around $700-750 when they launched, Samsung copied nobody. They innovate!
Also there's a reason why Samsung didn't release this phone when the S20's came out which is obvious to me but oblivious to the rest of you. That reason is because if they released this phone along with the S20 then nobody would buy the expensive S20's when the Fan Edition offers most of what the thousand dollar S20's offer, than why pay more for minimal upgrades... It's smart that Samsung took this route I bet pre-orders are doing great right now for this FE phone I bet it's more than what Samsung expected.
@@Young_Dab The reason they are releasing the FE is due to the poor (terrible) sales of the s20 line, over 60% less than the s10 line for the same period (the year before). They have to make up sales with Xiaomi phones selling like hotcakes.
Fun fact i'm upgrading from my s10 lite to the s20fe because it's lacking soooo many feautures like 120hz or stereo speakers. A great and helpfull video, keep it up :3
Did you get it yet? Are you happy with it? I have an s8 plus and want the s20 ultra but it's way too expensive. Then I saw this s20fe and I'm a bit interested I'm buying it
It's solid. It's cut corners, and dare I say, tendencies of the 20 series itself, are simply lacking compared to the entire S10 series IMB Im the end, the S10+ will be getting repaired, and the proper upgrade replacement will not be a Samsung. The S20Fe will get me by, but that's all.
Very well spoken young man. Even tone easy to understand for a senior. I'm not partial to the loud background music, freestanding in my old age. Best review as this phone arrives in 2 daysb with the A52. Again well done.
Don't hesitate on getting this phone. Definitely blows the other phones at this price point (pixel 5 / 4a 5G or one plus).. on paper and real world use. Nuff said! Get it! You'll be a happy camper. Don't nit-pick or look for a negative (like some reviewers) - this is the phone we've all been waiting for. 😃
Amazing review 👏 There's so much peer pressure these days to get the 'top model phone.' and the 'best out there.' But really, the best for who? I had the S10 which I was more than happy with but my 2 year contract ran up and I was almost going to bankrupt myself in order to get the S21 but this was then suggested and offered to me at a MUCH lower contract rate. In the end I did the sensible thing and so pleased I did. The batter is amazing, the screen quality is better than my S10, the cameras are fab. I take a fair amount of selfies so that's a massive bonus point for me. I've gotten the best parts of a smartphone I'd want at a much lower cost rate. Even with the back, I just bought a premium glass case. Bigger isn't always better!
Got my in Cloud Navy for Black Friday... Amazing phone but I did upgrade after using an S8 for over three years so the jump in performance was very sizeable for me.

Got the cloud lavender last week and its love 💘 I was going to get the ulta but decided to get the fe and put the rest of the money into my budget for a new laptop. I don't regret it, phone does what I need it to do and and feels snappy while looking pretty.
Excellent review (and I've seen a lot of them). Ordered two for us today (lavender for her, red for me) after seeing Best Buy's Black Friday intro sale ... Verizon model with 24 monthly payments lowered the price to $350! Basically a 2-for-1 deal for us. Very happy and looking forward to getting them.
I did the same. Red for me, but Mint for her. Time to put our aging but still quite functional S7s to rest. Going to miss that quad HD display though....
I have a OnePlus Nord currently which I love, apart from the screen. It has issues with the whites, I prefer cooler whites but it seems to flick between cool and warm. It can be really frustrating. I am considering switching up for the S20 FE 5G but I'm not sure how I feel about OneUI 🙈
Excellent video! My wife seen this phone in the Galaxy Store yesterday and today we will be going back. She will trade in her S9 plus as she loves it, and will get it for half price including the trade-in. She also gets a free Watch Active, but as she has the Watch Active 2, she will sell the Active. I am impressed with the specs
I got my Fe 2 days ago, now its boxed up and ready to return today. My three-year-old S9 outperforms it and his way faster when I do a speed test. TMobile admitted that they are not set up for 5G yet. What's really strange though is even 4G is 10 times slower than my S9. If you got TMobile don't waste your time on any Samsung 5G phone just look at the reviews their pitiful. Phone calls were choppy and the speaker for your ear is very tinny. The touch display is also odd and when I would click on a link it would hide all my apps. Also just turning a damn thing on and off is a pain.

Finally a flat screen with wireless charging, that's why they couldn't sell their cheaper devices because they didn't want to waste 12$ for squeezing in the coil! Their flagship processor with 6GB RAM for a lower price! I really don't care about the cameras.
This phone is excellent for me!
I have a s9+ and buy a s20FE for my mom for 400 euro and believe me i won't trade my s9plus for it and pretty sure that s20fe she will return it cuz the battery life on exynos are trash like 4h screen time lucky 5h and from what i see on forum reviews from other's people experience even snapdragon variant that all youtubers say last 6-7h are a big lie realistic you get 5h luckily 6h so big LIES... as a side note comparison, i get 4h-5h of screen times on my s9+ that have 3 years of battery abuse and a smaller battery
How's your s20FE now?
@@zer0pulse156 it's been problem free. Still plenty of storage - one of the last Galaxy's to still have an sd slot. It's been, and still is, a great phone.
Back in March I switched from Android to iOS. I'm glad Samsung made me realize my mistake before I invested further into Apple ecosystem and got locked in. Thank you for releasing this phone. Its exactly what I needed.
😮 how comes?
Well since 2017 I think I started using Apple and still using it. Hope to update from my 11 soon to either the IPhone 13/14 but I’m also getting a S20fe even tho it’s 2023 and the updates for it is like 1/2 more years😬
@@anberini since then I've gone back and forth between iPhone and Android. I just think I like them both. They each have their disadvantages so neither is perfect, but I just like tech in general.

just got my S20 FE and I most say the plastic back is a plus in my book it feels nice and is warmer then glass and just overall nicer to hold in the hand and its not as easy to break in case you drop the phone and also im not happy with the curved display so this flat display also big plus so only good things to say and im loving my new samsung phone indeed its everything i hoped for and to a reall nice price point
I was on the S7 edge and I switched to the Navy blue today. I'm loving the phone so far!❤
Gona be doing this
Any touchscreen issues SO FAR?
how about haptic feedback ? is it feels premium?
Should be like note 20 & S10
I wish they had more colors available for its successor. We got olive, lavender, and black. Colors felt less vibrant and a tad dull. Like they were trying to save money but also didn't put much thought in the appearance like that. I'd almost rather conservative colors over more colorful but muted paint.
Orange 🍊 is my colour pick and this time samsung get it right shame though there is no headphone jack but dolby atmos stereo speakers is a nice plus. S20 Fe is definitely my match thanks for the review brother.
I bought the Lavender one it's a great phone even if it doesn't have the headphone jack
I just got one, I love it.
Red with a clear case.
Today I bought cloud red.
I got the red but bought a clear case to show it off. What a great phone.
Same
Best comment. Ive been stuck with Motorola for years abd after watching many reviews i convinced myself to get the FE. Best decision yet. The only downside...i wanted the phone now, so i got the navy...i couldnt wait weeks for the cloud red
Best straight forward and detailed review, and I love having chapters in videos to see what's being discussed. Thanks! 😊
I'm still planning on getting this phone, but they really should've included the 25 watt charger and 8GB of RAM for the base model... Especially considering the 5G variant starts at $699
Got one recently, surprising no mention of phone heating up at top.
ORANGE! that one looked premium in another hands on review I watched days ago.
Link? I prefer an orange over that red, but idk it seems too peachish to me and not exactly orange, but I haven't seen it in action in a video.

Last week S20FE was on sale in Best Buy Canada for CAD $500, which is about USD $400.
Just got the Snapdragon 5G version in Lavender yesterday & I'm freaking excited. This device is insane OMG!!! Love that colour too!.
Cloud Navy is literally the best out of all of them
Definitely 😀👍
I currently have a Galaxy S8+ and haven't upgraded because of the 1,000+ prices. With then S20 FE , now is the time for me to upgrade. Made my pre-order already.
Y should have, traded in for 700$credits
I cracked the back of my s9 the day after i got it, i was waiting for the case to come in the mail
2023 and still picking it up over new midrange phone...After Android 13 update...its the best for its price..
Tra;ded in my S10e for this phone in Navy a couple days ago. Great phone...having a blast with it!
Did you traded it in to samsung?
I was literally debating between the two. Is the FE that much better than the pixel?
I have pixel 2 and I love it but this phone is seriously making me want to change it suits me more than the pixel 5
my main priority in a smartphone is the camera, thats why im gonna wait for the Pixel 5 personally, and also the iPhone 12 Max which is the iPhone 11's successor i think.. plus i think Samsungs software is very bloated just like many other OS's Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo etc etc.. i like my Android clean and stock, thats why i like Oxygen OS and Pixel OS..
@@Raviolei No dought about that. There's huge difference in terms of performance.
I bought mine 3 years ago (Cloud Navy color) and still happily using it!
In love with that navy blue colour ❤️
That's what I'm getting in a couple of days. I would have liked the orange it's not available in my region
I'm still rocking my S7. Have you run into any issues with the FE?
I got the navy, but it came with $70 worth of Samsung accessories, so I got a samsung case and a fitness watch

Great review. Upgraded from an S9 and overall I am pleased. Miss the curve however everything else including rewatching this video is an amazing experience.
Hey, thinking of upgrading from an S9 as well, how's your experience with the S20 Fe after 8 months?
7 to 8 months in now... I ended up getting 2 units. I used the Cloud Navy S20FE for about 6 weeks... then gave it to my dad. Because i like it so much... i bought another unit and gave it to my mom. She got the Cloud Orange one.
S20FE is da bomb! Such a bargain for value Samsung flagship device...
whenever samsung releases a flat screen oled with top of the line snapdragon, i will get it. btw im using s10e (economy).
It does everything that I ask of it.
you have the best quality phone reviews I have ever seen! a+++++ all the way. subscribed!
upgraded from S8 to S20 FE 5G....seems like a nightmare is over.....S8 with Exynos processor would heat a lot and I was always using it in battery saving mode :)
This is still a good choice if you pay monthly.
@@Young_Dab Yes, carry on believing! I assume you are being sarcastic but Samsung is now the Kings of Expensive, making iPhones look cheap!
@@Young_Dab The reason they are releasing the FE is due to the poor (terrible) sales of the s20 line, over 60% less than the s10 line for the same period (the year before). They have to make up sales with Xiaomi phones selling like hotcakes.
S21 FE and all the other newest FE releases are a major let down due to Micro SD slot removal

@@bibinek9950 same I have a s8 plus too and I think I wanna upgrade to the S20 FE but not 100% sure if it's the right decision lol
It's solid. It's cut corners, and dare I say, tendencies of the 20 series itself, are simply lacking compared to the entire S10 series IMB
Im the end, the S10+ will be getting repaired, and the proper upgrade replacement will not be a Samsung. The S20Fe will get me by, but that's all.
TBH, from all the reviews I've watched, this is the one that I liked most as all my questions as to wanting to buy one had been answered. Great job!

Yup.. all providers are upgrading to 5G.. but 4G isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Get the phone. You won't regret it.

Verizon model with 24 monthly payments lowered the price to $350! Basically a 2-for-1 deal for us. Very happy and looking forward to getting them.

I'd rather choose the Navy color one it looks like a proper phone than the bright ones for kids.
