- Released in late 2020, the S20FE seeked to bridge the gap between the A series and the S20 series, which had increased in price yet again. In many ways, the S20Fe was considered a "Flagship Killer". Everything you need. Everything you don't. But in 2024, with its strong presence in the used market, I wanted to test the S20FE in a real day in my life to see if it can still keep up today! I test out the Performance, Display, Cameras and most importantly, the battery performance to see if it's still worth considering.

The snapdragon 5G versions battery life is so good it is unbelievable

@Upwards._ Snapdragon edition battery backup isn't that good.I get 5-5.30 hr backup using social media 30% brightness with mobile data .

I am watching this on my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4g. Snapdragon version. Mine lasts me the entire day ranginf from 4-6 hrs of SOT with a bit of gaming, social media ext. My battery is three-years old now.

My S20 FE Snap 4G do 5:30-6hrs from 85 to 15% (battery proteccion mode on). Social media, nav and youtube (no gaming). Battery two-years old now.
I got one in February 2023, same color, 4G Snapdragon version, loving it since day one. Small issues here and there but most of them are fixable or just forgettable. I also use GCam with it and it just works so well, especially the selfies look incredible. Love the software as well, my first actual Samsung phone and I love it. I can only upgrade and get a S23 or just stick with it and I don't want to pay for that, I don't need it.
The best and last note from Samsung with all bells and whistles even comparable to S24 or even better in terms of display
Well made video! I've had the 5G version since December 2020 and it's been great overall. Battery life is still good enough for me, but that's very subjective. The back has started to separate from the frame in places so it's probably not waterproof anymore, but I'm not too worried about that. I'm only considering replacing it because it will stop getting security patches in a few months. I'll keep using at least until the end of 2024 and then we'll see.

S20 fe was the last price/performance phone by samsung, there isn't even a competition after this phone is released, and goes on after a few years. Samsung made a mistake by releasing this complete package with proper pricing, and stops this behavior after this phone. Sadly, Samsung acts like the apple nowadays...

I have been using s20 fe 5g for the past 3 years
I get on avg sot of 5hrs with 85% battery usage with no gaming or 30 mins of coc a day
The battery has degraded ,if i changed the battery i definitely would have 6+ hours of sot with 85% battery usage

@@eveningtechshorts938 I have the S20 FE, it is good in all aspects apart from software updates. I've had mine for three years now, still continuing on using it until next year or so and but do keep in mind that Samsung will stop supporting the phone with security updates in October I think.
