People don't need quality that good because you're probably never going to use all the features, but when several hundred dollars is like change to you it makes sense to get the best. @@ericharrison619 it makes the phones cheaper thought. that's why samsung was so cheap in the past. the glass encasing is what makes samsung now expensive. so giving us the option with plastic is a good idea for those not willing to pay an arm and a leg for a phone. most *note: most* people use a case with their phones anyways.
this is how i got samsung a71. design like s20, the price was 360 for 6ram and 530 for 8ram, camera is 64mp, it has almost all the stuff you get in s20, almost as good as s10 *camera is way better already* and if you put a case on it, no one an tell if i have an s20 or not. samsung always excelled at this, non flagship phones just as good as the flagships. glad they're bringing them back.
I very much enjoy the A series that use snapdragon chip universally. They need to do something about that exynos though.

Never understood the point of a glass back when everyone will put a case especially to protect that fragile glass. At least with plastic it's more durable and you can actually repair it if it breaks, while allowing for wireless charging just fine
@@9a3eedi I think the only point is image. Samsung used to make their flagships from plastic, but everyone complained the are cheap looking. Glass looks somply better when you buy the phone. I can see no other reason.

- glass is fragile so it breaks, planned obsolescence

Honestly this is still flagship performance. I have an S20 Ultra but I think I will survive using the S20 FE because it checks all the boxes. Other than build quality but I will still have a case on it.

I normally only Buy the flagship. But I just picked this up today and I am very very impressed .and very pleased with it. And honestly I really actually like the back of the phone being plastic because it's a matt finish and doesn't get sticky like the glass backs do. And you can't even tell when you physically look at it .and really it doesn't even feel like it for the most part. Very pleased. And I got 120 refresh rate!
I'm loving this new format with the information in the beggining and better editting than just classical music in the background. Beeing only 10 minuts also makes it much more apealing

@@rayan12 I got the android 12 installed, with one ui version 4.1. When I set it up I managed to get all the updates & upgrades before I switched my sim to it. I got to say it is massive upgrade from my old J6 that I used up till now.
@@rayan12 I am not sure, sorry to say. But I think it was 11, because it only made the install the operating system once, then it was done. First thing I did after charging the battery was to make it search for updates and upgrades then left it. And make it transfer all of my apps from the J6, while I was doing other stuff without my phone.

Got this phone a few weeks ago in the cloud red colour and i think its absolutely incredible. Plastic back is no deal breaker.. prefer it to the glass actually. Battery life is awesome. Camera is amazing. Screen is great. Sound is loud. Only missing the headphone jack i had on my S10

I’m currently using and iPhone 11 Pro and will be trading it in for this one I just miss android I tend to switch back and forth but I actually did a trade in when it first appear in the Samsung website and I got this phone the unlocked version for only $50 because they gave me a $650 trade in value at the time witch was amazing but that deal was only for the first week it got announce. This Fan Edition is amazing btw finally Samsung really hit the sweet spot with this one.

Just got this phone today, absolutely love the phone it totally feels like a flagship device. Also I prefer the 'glastic' matte finish on the back it is far more comfortable in the hand and the texture is great, as a clumsy guy I didn't enjoy a whole glass phone. Also 120hz is amazing.
You know sometimes, a brand will put out a device and they'll kind of claim that "You're getting it all for less". And rarely that's actually true, but with the Galaxy S20 FE, it kind of feels that way.

I really hate that "premium feel" became a thing. It really shows how artificial we are as human beings. Knowing that plastic is more durable. It handle impact better, it allows wireless charging and its lighter. Not to mention easier to make a removable back.
But no I want my phone to feel and look artificially pleasing.
Personally I like glass and steel because they're more recyclable/renewable and we could all stand for less plastic, has nothing to do with handfeel
