I actually prefer plastic or metal backs on phones since they are more durable. My first two phones were the HTC Inspire 4g from AT&T and my second one was the Galaxy s5. Thy felt so durable that I went without a case some days. My next phones till current is the Galaxy s7 and the Galaxy s10. Sure they look better but I almost always have them in a durable case.
I'd take plastic on a phone back, no matter what the price. Glass is a fingerprint magnet, is way more expensive to replace, and most people use a case anyway so your phone's not gonna feel anymore "premium". I've only had one phone with a glass back, my Galaxy S8, and it's just pointless. I'm glad to go back to a plastic back phone like my Galaxy S4 or LG G4.
THE S20 FE IS THE MORST COMPELLING PHONE OF THE YEAR with 95% of the ultra features. And just because its at a midrange price, doesn't mean its a midrange phone. If thats the case, than the iphone 11 at 699$ is also a midrange phone I have the s10+, trade in value is $450, making the price 250$, plus a 70$ credit that they give you to put towards another product . HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT !!! And idk why ppl keep brining up the standard s20 for 670 on Amazon, BECAUSE YOU DONT GET A WARRANTY FROM AMAZON. Plus it's 670. The 699 FE has trade in program bringing the price down to 300$ so yea, trade it in
Great video. I agree with your opinions in your review. The S20 FE is the best option for most people. I am a fan of the return to plastic and also prefer flat screen. The performance is just as good as the S20 + for almost everything I use it for. My only complaint is that I would've prefered 8 GB of RAM. But as I said it works great...even with only 6 GB.
I got the ☁️ red & here's what I like: 1. Flat display 2. Polycarbonate build quality 3. The 865processer 4. 120hz display 5. Wireless with power share 6. 4500 mamp 🔋 7. Micro s/d support 8. 97% of the features the S20series has 9. Six (6) wonderful colors 10. The best feature of all, the price, 549.00, Amazon's Black Friday deal. So I asked myself? Is the S20+ 6hundred bucks better, HELL NO! At this price, it's a no-brainer!
I have the phone and I'm returning it. Now don't get me wrong, it's a solid phone especially for the price but I'm coming from an S10 and I prefer it in almost every way except for battery life and the 120hz refresh rate. Battery life is obviously a big deal but the refresh rate isn't as big of a deal as I thought it would be. But yeah, the S10 is faster (faster scrolling, faster at opening apps most of the time, faster navigating throughout the UI), it has a noticeably better front facing camera, it has the headphone jack that I love, it has better stereo speakers and last but not least it has a much much much better fingerprint sensor. The one on the FE works like 5% of the time for me, no joke! That's the main reason why im returning it because it's so frustrating. Overall the FE is a great phone but my S 10 is just better in almost every way.
@@liftusup9208 yeah and i do feel like they released too many phones this year, and what makes it more frustrating for me at least is that they released a successor to the s10 lite 9 months later which is better in so many ways

I prefer glass. I have a 3 year old Samsung phone with glass on the back (it cost around $300) and it would be perfect if not for the small storage space.
Finally getting Snapdragon in the Philippines instead of Exynos is such a big deal. You get the important stuff with the fe. Got it to replace my XR. It's better in all aspects except maybe being a little behind on the cameras. iPhones, for me still take better photos in general. But still. For the price? 1080p Super AMOLED, 128gb internals, flagship snapdragon a triple cam setup and now Samsung promises 3 major software updates? That can't be beat.

The iPhone 12 will have OLED this year so may even do better than the mega-selling iPhone 11!

what month do you get the best buys from your carriers?
I actually prefer plastic or metal backs on phones since they are more durable. My first two phones were the HTC Inspire 4g from AT&T and my second one was the Galaxy s5. Thy felt so durable that I went without a case some days. My next phones till current is the Galaxy s7 and the Galaxy s10. Sure they look better but I almost always have them in a durable case.
Does anyone know how to turn off the feature: when you grab your phone that your phone turns on without you wanting it too? I have a galaxy s20
Search lift to wake in settings
@@DangerZero thanks!!!
Did anyone get the headphones from Samsung like he suggested? Just curious
Is this worthy enough to upgrade from the s8. Very interested in this phone.
And the one thing you won’t see is that 2k display. I feel like they could make 2k 120hz a thing, but they just won’t.
Are you planning on doing a review of the new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds?
Absolutely! Coming soon
I actually like the chrome ring around the selfie camera. But what they should have done is switch the main shooter with the selfie camera.
I don't have an issue with a plastic back. The older phones use to be plastic and people didn't complain that much.
The old phones also had bezels and yall didn't complain haha
@@devilkazumi578 Lol
Would you get this phone, or Pixel 5 or iphone Xs?
I prefer plastic. More durable, won't crack and at the end I put a case to protect my phone and cost less. Glass back is for girls or soft man.
If I wanted a bigger phone definitely looks like a great phone and I like the colors. I prefer smaller phones so just bought a Pixel 4a
Mike, please, caption your videos. They are great, but I want a full understanding of their content.
I'd use a case even if it was plastic tbh
Thanks you helpt the most the sound is to far I don't think it's better than the s20 for podcast thanks a bunch
THE S20 FE IS THE MORST COMPELLING PHONE OF THE YEAR with 95% of the ultra features. And just because its at a midrange price, doesn't mean its a midrange phone. If thats the case, than the iphone 11 at 699$ is also a midrange phone
I have the s10+, trade in value is $450, making the price 250$, plus a 70$ credit that they give you to put towards another product . HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT !!!
And idk why ppl keep brining up the standard s20 for 670 on Amazon, BECAUSE YOU DONT GET A WARRANTY FROM AMAZON. Plus it's 670. The 699 FE has trade in program bringing the price down to 300$ so yea, trade it in
Also samsung will price match Amazon so you can get the phone for $150!!
Awesome video keep it up as always watching with my S20 plus
Great video. I agree with your opinions in your review. The S20 FE is the best option for most people. I am a fan of the return to plastic and also prefer flat screen. The performance is just as good as the S20 + for almost everything I use it for. My only complaint is that I would've prefered 8 GB of RAM. But as I said it works great...even with only 6 GB.
I got the ☁️ red & here's what I like:
1. Flat display
2. Polycarbonate build quality
3. The 865processer
4. 120hz display
5. Wireless with power share
6. 4500 mamp
🔋
7. Micro s/d support
8. 97% of the features the S20series has
9. Six (6) wonderful colors
10. The best feature of all, the price, 549.00, Amazon's Black Friday deal. So I asked myself? Is the S20+ 6hundred bucks better, HELL NO! At this price, it's a no-brainer!
Is the issue with gaming resolved? Heard bad things about multi touch
Overall the FE is a great phone but my S 10 is just better in almost every way.
man, i wished they released it earlier, and i would have gotten it, bought my s10 lite in July, still a good phone though.
Same. I got my S10+ in march right before lockdown. If it was here I would have preferred it.
@@liftusup9208 yeah and i do feel like they released too many phones this year, and what makes it more frustrating for me at least is that they released a successor to the s10 lite 9 months later which is better in so many ways
I mean dis's alright but when you face it against the s20 or + i guess it's clear
In my country the s20+ has the same price 650$ 😅😅 so don't change my mind bro 😂 much love 💪 u'r the best
I prefer glass. I have a 3 year old Samsung phone with glass on the back (it cost around $300) and it would be perfect if not for the small storage space.
1:00 No punch hole camera!
So anybody find it weird that in the commercial they only show off the front facing camera and not the rear one
Hey Mike, thanks for the work you're putting into these great detailed videos and being honest.
Can I make a request for a future video? I request a video on TaoTronics SoundLiberty 94 ANC Bluetooth 5.1 Earbuds. Amazing product for the price.
Great review. Thank you
I have S20 FE in Cloud Red.😍 best phone ever.❤
This is the future iPhone 12 6.1" killer if leaks are correct.
...in reality, it is the s20 and s20+ killer, although those were already killed by the iPhone 11 which sold 10 times more than those which is amazing bearing in mind the iPhone 11 was 6+ months into its cycle! The iPhone 12 will have OLED this year so may even do better than the mega-selling iPhone 11!
andyH_England. I meant on paper. Not sales figures. Too many people want the logo on the back (and their 64gb of storage lol) or they bought the $400 Apple Watch and can't get anything else.
@@UProductions457 yes, but most phones are better spec than the iPhone so people will still buy the iPhone due to brand or habit! So a killer in specs, true as per norm, but that is not everything.
@@andyH_England It's mostly an IOS or Android preference. If you're invested in the IOS ecosystem, you have no choice! However, if you are new to phones, the Android side can be very compelling and in most cases, the better option for people on a budget. The thing with specs is that most people won't be able to tell the difference between an A14 and a SD865. You will only notice it in very specific operations which the majority of people who buy phones don't use. They are both great phones and you can't go wrong with any of them.
@@sweetestgravy9880 I agree me I'm an android guy but yeah whatever your preference go with your gut or what you know
I picked up the s20fe5g I love this phone gives me whatever I want but a few shortcuts to make it cheaper obviously I just wish they came out with at the same time when they launched this fan edition a black one I would have so got that one instead of the the dark blue one instead
now I don't know whether to buy the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE or the Oneplus 8t
My upgrade is due next month, it’s either the S20 FE or the A71 and they’re both pretty close but the FE here in South Africa is the exynos variant so I’m having a hard time deciding between the two
I've been in the same dilemma but I've been told the 71 is glitchy as hells
Can you make a video about Galaxy Fit E?
I would like step by step instructions on how to use the camera for the Samsung galaxy S20 fe . I had difficulties cropping my pictures. Thanks
I have this phone and I like the plastic back. No need for a case all the time.
Does the exynos version is better to buy?because it is the only version available in india
I was so excited for this phone but Samsung decided to only launch the Exnyos variant in my country. Fun (not so much) fact, the leaked price makes it cost more than the regular S20 (1000 BRL more = around 180 dollars more).
For the price point the Exynos chip is BETTER than all midrange snpadragons
@@davidlegkodukh6969 could be depending on where you live, but here is more expensive than the S20+, mening 2x the price of any midrange.
The S10 lite that has a 855 is half the price.
Exnyos 990 heats up, throttles faster, has terrible battery management. I Would rather get a S10 Lite or even a A71 than this.
If people wanted they could even go for the S10, S10+.
@@guilhermeluppi2700 Well pricing is a big deal so I do understand your situation somewhat.
But the S10 Lite is better than the A series no questions asked..
And the S20 FE only ads 120hz so no big changes really
@@davidlegkodukh6969 samsung hasn't announced the price officially but a youtuber, who got the s20 and the Note 20 prices right, leaked the price.
While in their website nothing mentions 5g, they are stating speeds up to 2gbs, so maybe they could troll us. But the guy said that if there are 2 versions, the 5g would cost almost the same as the s20 ultra now so lol
@@guilhermeluppi2700 5g is a gimmick until its globally launched which won't be anytime in the near future 😁
I prefer zoom over ultra wide. And in Australia is we get the 5g we finally get the Snapdragon yes. And the do and 8 gig ram model too. Sold. Have the S10 plus. And you get free Bud's live if I pre-order. Might see what the s21 holds first. Even though I don't use had the features when in my S10 plus
Hey can you review tech products you use personally?..... Please maybe
7:18 did you turn off the beauty mode?
Audio sounds good and so does the camera this is a much better bargain then the regular note 20
Well we got the exynos S20FE, so should I get it or to for the S10 lite 🙄.
S20FE is still way better and for the price the exynos is still better than snapdragon midrange
Wait for an exynos FE review on the phone and see how it affects it
@@ruujay3222 The Exynos 990 is still a flagship processor
So any midrange snapdragon cannot compete with its benchmarks anyways 🤦♂️
@@davidlegkodukh6969 it definitely is
However most if not all reviews on this phone thus far have been on the snapdragon varient
Who knows what effects the exynos chip may have on this handset, especially in long term
Rohan, myself, and many others intend on keeping this phone for several years, and in that aspect, exynos has proven to be terrible
So it'd just be good to have a single proper review with the chipset on this phone, just to see how well the cooling works, the affect on battery and usage in general
I think the 5g version is all Snapdragon everywhere. That’s what Samsung said.
Plastic who cares, don't we all use a case? I always did on my previous flagship galaxy phones.
in the UK we only get the exynos on the s20 where as on the FE 5g we get
the snapdragon... which makes the FE more appealing than than the
flagship!
I went with the 5g..all good 👍
In the old days of Samsung, they'd never pack that many features and that much quality into a midrange phone.
🙄🤦♂️
People in the comments saying that like this phone because plastic is better than glass because doesn't break.
Have a gorilla glass 3 in the front 🤦♂️
People are more willing to put on a screen protector than a case imo
Yes, there's glass in the front but there's actually a reason for that. There's no reason to make the back more fragile. 🤦♂️
@@Andrew-it7fb I am criticizing a mobile phone in 2020 still having gorilla glass 3.
Basically the samsung s20 fe has the same gorilla glass as the Samsung S4 from 7 years ago!
Worse only if came without a charger 😂😝
@@BrunoSilva-lx4pz and I'm pointing out that preferring a plastic back doesn't have anything to do with that.
@@Andrew-it7fb People can like what they want. I made the comment because if people say "I prefere plastic back then glass because doesn't break" but the phone have gorilla glass 3 in the front (launched 7 years ago, so it break super easy) it's a little bit (it's a lot) contradictory.
