Hi mike! What I´ve missed is comfort. I´ve ear channels like a mutant (very narrow/tight) and ONLY the Bose Quitecomfort Ultra is a good fit. All the the others, without the wings, just fall out after 10-20-30 minutes. Maybe an idea for next year!
Same for me. I tested the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and regarding functions they are lightyears ahead of Bose and I so wanted to love them. But I still stuck with the new Quiet Comforts from Bose because they are basically the only headphones that stay in my ear because of the wing tips. On those the static white noise is also way less than on the ultras.
How is the microphone? I like the idea of using them for work as, like in the video, I sit at a desk all day and the idea of using them for work sounds great since people come up to me all the time. However, what about calls? I have meetings throughout the week and am curious if they would work fine or if I should look elsewhere.
@@Btone1018 the microphone from the Bose Ultra Earbuds is trash. If you're sitting in the totally quite room they are fine, otherwise your callpartner can hear everything, I repeat everything. Try clip style buds. The true openness and firing in the outer part of your ear (most reviewers don't wear them properly)makes them sound like listening to a stereo system rather than earbuds. Much easier to hold conversations and you don't notice them at all after a few days. Just sounds like your walking around in a videogame with background music

I choose these much more often than any other bud I’ve had, they’re just better in so many aspects and I got mine for 120$, simply the best for me. Great work fella
For me the best overall earbuds are still the Sony Linkbuds S. Really good ANC but still good if I need to switch to hear my surrounding. They also work well for me when I am sleeping due to the low profile and perfect in-ear fit. And they come at a good price and can often be found at a discount around for just around 100 Euro.
Had them, were amazing... for a year, then the battery in the left earbud died. Heard it's a pretty common problem so unless you're ok with great earbuds for a year, I can't recommend them, sadly
@@zelkos365 I noticed the same. But from my previous experiences with the higher Tier Sony earbuds - I used the Sony WF-1000XM3 and XM4 before - I always had some kind of issues with those. The XM4 had much more connection issues with me, when switching between devices like IPad and phone and also in general often would not connect when I take them out of the pocked. The Earbuds seem to be connecting much more efficiently and quickly. On the XM4 one side battery went dead on me just about 2 years after purchasing so I could not return them. The Linkbuds S batteries seem to only make a more limited number of loading cycles. But they last about a year - but then I am considering myself a poweruser since I wear and use them probably 6-10 hours a day and daily load them. So I would much rather buy a new set of these every year for about 100 Euro than buy a new set of the XM4s or 5s for a much higher price every 2 years or so. Funny enough -I still use my XM3s occasionally - but the battery now, after many years only lasts about 40 minutes or so and they feel like wearing an elefant in my ear.
I fully agree with the Nothing Ear it seems like they don't always get their flowers because they are half the price of all the top contenders. Great overall summary! Largely agree with the commentary. I started the year with B&O EX & Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. Upgraded to the Nothing Ear & Jabra Elite 8 Active. Love both of them.
I am liking the Soundcore sleep buds. I use my Galaxy Buds Live and they do get hurtful on the ears after a while and the battery is not as good anymore. Great vid mate.
I’m so undecided between getting the AirpodsPro 2 and the XM5’s. I have an IPhone but i really wanna focus on sound quality and ANC. Which one should I get?
I’m glad there are so many brands out there for TWS but personally I believe Bluetooth neck bands are ideal ones for people on the go. Why there are NOT much options ? Can you suggest good one (excluding Boat, Oppo, Nothing, Oneplus, etc.)
@MikeOBrienMedia You should do a review of the Koss Ksc75. I was considering buying them and they're supposed to have unmatched sound quality for the price. Maybe do a YT short on them.
Confused, you praised the Sennheiser TW4 basically as a new best, with a plethora of new features. Yet here it doesn't even get listed apart from a footnote. Then you say it's only a small iterative improvement over the TW3, not just this but saying they're brilliant then not even listing them contradicts yourself and for me brings your integrity and consistency as a reliable source into question...
Mike is a great youtuber and fun to watch. He's also one of the most fully commissioned youtubers. You should treat his videos more like commercials than reviews. Same as Flossy and plenty of other big name youtubers.
The TW4 are definitely awesome earbuds! Perhaps they deserved a more pronounced segment in this video, but for the record, I am not paid by any brands for this video. I always clearly disclose sponsorships and this video was not sponsored. Honestly, I am kind of sad you view my videos as commercials. How can I change that perception?
@MikeOBrienMedia i might have been a little over-the-top by saying it's a commercial. I watch most of your videos, so I obviously enjoy what you do. That being said, just because you aren't sponsored in this video, doesn't mean you don't have relationships that you'd rather not ruin. Its not much different than ESPN walking the fine line between reporting the sports news but not upsetting the sports leagues that provide their content. As to how to change that perception? Maybe make a video about how the sponsored videos work. Maybe I'm believing some myths you could disprove.
@@MikeOBrienMedia Your reviews tends to not have any criticism of the products. Maybe it's just your nature, but you have to include criticisms if you want to be perceived as unbiased.
The Jabra Elite 10 gen 2 are really good.. can't beat the physical button control, great features via the app, they sound excellent and very comfortable. I didn't expect the nothing ear to be that high might have to check them out
Agree on the Bose open ear. I bought a pair after your review and absolutely love them. I totally forget I'm wearing them and regularly forget to check the charge level because, who cares. So comfortable. The pairing occasionally glitches a little, but not to annoyance level. Thanks Mike!
I recently buy nothing phone 2a and then nothing ear 2024 ❤❤ combined it with apple music now you know my feelings It sound great 👍 And you are a great reviewers with honesty ❤❤
I've used thr AP4ANC, Nothing Ear (a), Pixel Buds Pro 2 and the regular Galaxy Buds 3 this year and I my most favorite one is the Airpods 4 with ANC. The only downside is that it doesn't have a volume adjustment but I love how it sounds when paired to my Pixel more than with my iPhone listening thru Spotify with the same EQ settings which I find odd. Mic quality is great. I love the open ear design and compact form factor. My 2nd pick is the Pixel Buds Pro 2 but only because I have a Pixel phone and I got it bnew for $90.
My favorite this year has been the "CMF Neckband Pro" 30+ hour battery, 40 bucks, ANC and transparency, never lose buds. I wish Neckbands were more popular, they appeal to me and many other earbud users. Same quality as the Nothing Ear (A) too.
Thank you for the review! I’d like to request a dedicated video on work earbuds with the best microphone features across different platforms. I'm currently in the Samsung ecosystem, but I’m considering if AirPods might better fit my needs. Here are a few things I’m looking for: 1. Comfortable, fatigue-free fit-preferably an open design. 2. Clear voice quality on calls with effective ambient noise cancellation to the other person. I need these features to work in the following situations: 1. When connected to a Windows laptop via Bluetooth for online meetings (Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams). 2. When connected to a Samsung phone, so that callers feel I’m in a quiet room even if I’m walking on a busy street. Of course, you may mix Macs and iPhones for people who are considering Samsung Buds for their Apple devices.
I love my Bose QC Open earbuds. They are the best for me wearing both my normal specs, FitOver sunnies, and a sun hat. The hook style get uncomfortable after a while when wear these items. Whilst the mic isn't perfect. They sound great for my needs, especially audiobooks whilst walking, and being able to hear someone coming up behind me, cars and trucks, and not needing to remove them to talk to someone. Just be careful when scratching your ear haha. The only downside is the $450 AUD price tag.
I own most of the earbuds showcased on this list and my favorite everyday buds for me are the Pixel Buds Pro 2. The fit, sound quality, ANC, transparency, and battery life are all excellent. The size is also very small and compact. I always carry 2 pairs with me with one acting as a backup pair.
Would love your opinion on what you would recommend for a person who always used Jabra elite? Still using them till they die but what is the closest replacement?
One thing that I agree with your choices is the great sound quality across the board. Not too much bass and not too weak either. Those are really is generally nice earbuds
Being a earbuds! Just wondering if you have experience with one with reasonably good mic for calls and speech to text recognition? Something less than $70. Thank you.
Woks amazing. Since AirPod Pro 1 now 2 is improved. I use for music festivals on stage, back stage, able to talk briefly w/ tech or musicians. They didn’t need to yell, just an outside high voice & filtering makes it clear & actively transparent otherwise & reducing 100+ db
I upgraded from the Sony XM4 to XM5 and I’m satisfied. The transparency mode has been so much improved everything just sounds natural. Before if I wore them with my jacket on I would hear my jacket rubbing against things and it sounded very weird. Now, nothing. Everything sounds crisp and clear. Amazing. Only downside I think is getting used to the smaller shape getting nog them out and into the box. Also I gotta get used to where the touch area is when I want to click it, I’m always slightly off now. One last thing, I’m not a fan of the glossy finish, makes the earbuds feel a bit too slippery to me.
My beats fit Pro gen 1 are amazing. I must have purchased them 3 years ago with zero trouble. whatever battery they use is amazing based on how long a charge lasts after using them every day all this time. The other day I thought about upgrading but there’s no justification.
I got the Soundcore Sleep A20 during the Kickstarter and they've been incredible. I had wanted some sleep earbuds for a while and heard the A10 were just a bit short of being great. When I saw the A20 had addressed basically every single complaint I had read about the A10 I had to grab them (especially since I could get them for $90 in the Kickstarter)
The WF-1000XM6 is more then one years old and is still the best earbud. As a Samsung user, I wish Galaxy Buds 3Pro had real multipoint connection, this is the only feature that is not letting me buy them.
Hey Mike! Great video, maybe I disagree with some choices, but great content nonetheless. As always, if I may give some feedback, is mentioning cons. I know format in this type of award videos may allow for it very well, but people look at these for knowing what to buy in a single video based off their priorities. So mentioning cons would be amazing, like "the best ANC this year come from Bose Quiet Comfort. blablabla. Some cons I noticed and also some mentioned by the community are this and that, so something to keep in mind." This gives a more complete review and also helps reduce the bias people assume you have for some brands or products. Again, great content, but I would love more visibility on cons about these products and from different factual sources.
My Jabra 75t’s had ridiculous battery life, haven’t quite seen anything like it from any other brand. Their stuff seems to be on sale as well, might be a decent purchase to get one of the newer models
Great video. But so frustrating as an Android user that microphone quality seems so much better for the Air Pods pro. I assume the Galaxy buds 3 pro are far behind there?
Technics AZ-80 for me. Gets little love, but has true multipoint, great mic, anc and sound quality. Accidently washed them and they still work like new. Choose these over my Galaxy buds pro3 and pro2 except when they need to be charged.
I was expecting Jabra Elite 8 active Gen 2 for best workout earbuds, I am using them as well, it is industry leading in dust/ water proof ratings as well.
Excelent video as always but In my opinion you forgot to comment about lossless codec compatibility on APTX mobyle devices as there are 4 different lossless CODEC implementations. APTX, LDAC, SCC and any . And codecs give a big different expeerience depending on what class of mobyle device you use

@@vwmusicplaylist1935 nope what? the best earbuds in this video is Sony lol. I mean its okay if you don't know about other brands that actually making audiophile level products in TWS body.
The momentum 4 buds were the best sounding headphones I tested this year with the personalized sound. Unfortunately on iOS, the max volume sucks.
Denon Perl Pros are better
Momentum 4? How would you rate the Momentum 4 against the Nothing Ear (a)?
On sale for $199 right now now
Great overall summary! Largely agree with the commentary.
I started the year with B&O EX & Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro.
Upgraded to the Nothing Ear & Jabra Elite 8 Active. Love both of them.
Will you do another top headphone video by the end of the year?
Great video! What would you say have the best microphones outside of the Apple ecosystem?
I am liking the Soundcore sleep buds. I use my Galaxy Buds Live and they do get hurtful on the ears after a while and the battery is not as good anymore. Great vid mate.
I’m so undecided between getting the AirpodsPro 2 and the XM5’s. I have an IPhone but i really wanna focus on sound quality and ANC. Which one should I get?
You should try the Devialet Gemini II, they are the best sounding earphones in my opinion and with amazing comfort and ANC.
I’m glad there are so many brands out there for TWS but personally I believe Bluetooth neck bands are ideal ones for people on the go.
Why there are NOT much options ? Can you suggest good one (excluding Boat, Oppo, Nothing, Oneplus, etc.)
Great video I love the sennheiser sport for the gym.. was that a Garmin watch you were wearing? If it was which one?
Beats Fit Pro are my all time favorite. Basically 3 years in a row 🔥
Hey Mike, you're one of the only tech RUclipsrs I trust. Keep it up 😊
Thank you! I always keep my videos honest
@@MikeOBrienMedia yeah you are, keep lieing about it, it has been so obvious!
@@MikeOBrienMedia Your reviews tends to not have any criticism of the products. Maybe it's just your nature, but you have to include criticisms if you want to be perceived as unbiased.
Always looking forward to this!
Beats fit pro or galaxy buds 3 pro? I need one that will hold for doing handstands, calisthenics and running
Got my Xm5s a couple of weeks ago and I can boldly say It cancels out everything when I'm outside.
I Want to thank you your videos are helping me keep my mind off the problems I'm having with my body While I'm in the hospital
What about the OnePlus buds 3 pro ?!
I recently buy nothing phone 2a and then nothing ear 2024 ❤❤ combined it with apple music now you know my feelings
It sound great 👍
And you are a great reviewers with honesty ❤❤
What smartwatch was on your wrist in the video
Thank you for the review! I’d like to request a dedicated video on work earbuds with the best microphone features across different platforms. I'm currently in the Samsung ecosystem, but I’m considering if AirPods might better fit my needs. Here are a few things I’m looking for:
1. Comfortable, fatigue-free fit-preferably an open design.
2. Clear voice quality on calls with effective ambient noise cancellation to the other person.
I need these features to work in the following situations:
Can you recommend for gaming, with low latency ? Thank you
Would love your opinion on what you would recommend for a person who always used Jabra elite? Still using them till they die but what is the closest replacement?
Missed the Pi8's sadly.
I just switched from the pixel buds pro 2 to the notjing Ear A and i relly feel they are better in every way! Really solid value for money!
Bro thanks for your work. This take time and observation to achieve this results. 🙏
One thing that I agree with your choices is the great sound quality across the board. Not too much bass and not too weak either. Those are really is generally nice earbuds
The momentum TW4s are great, especially with sound personalization.
2024 Headphones Awards pls 🎉❤
still using my samsung buds pro 😊 will consider upgrading by 2026 😅 watching from the Philippines 😊
Amazing. Thank you for doing time stamps
You’re welcome 😊
Being a earbuds! Just wondering if you have experience with one with reasonably good mic for calls and speech to text recognition? Something less than $70. Thank you.
How do you feel about the Technics Az80s?
personally would appreciate a basshead category where there is lots of bass but still clean sound
Good idea! Perhaps something like the Master & Dynamic MW08 buds could win that
Woks amazing.
Great video, what about earfun air pro4? Tks bro
its crazy how many brands are now selling earbuds
What surprises me more is how they are cheaper than Air pods and have 10x features than Airpods😂
@@Hifirrrr nah, overcharging for less features is apple's whole ecosystem
My beats fit
Pro gen 1 are amazing.
What about the Bowers and Wilkins PI8?
I was literally searching for earbud recommendations and this popped up 😳
Worth the upgrade from the OnePlus buds 3 vs pro 3?
The WF-1000XM6 is more then one years old and is still the best earbud. As a Samsung user, I wish Galaxy Buds 3Pro had real multipoint connection, this is the only feature that is not letting me buy them.
The Bose ultras and Sony 5’s for me.
Hey Mike! Great video, maybe I disagree with some choices, but great content nonetheless.
As always, if I may give some feedback, is mentioning cons. I know format in this type of award videos may allow for it very well, but people look at these for knowing what to buy in a single video based off their priorities. So mentioning cons would be amazing, like "the best ANC this year come from Bose Quiet Comfort. blablabla. Some cons I noticed and also some mentioned by the community are this and that, so something to keep in mind."
This gives a more complete review and also helps reduce the bias people assume you have for some brands or products.
Again, great content, but I would love more visibility on cons about these products and from different factual sources.
How is battery life not a category as a postal worker listening for 9 + hours a day this is important as well as sound quality etc
My Jabra 75t’s had ridiculous battery life, haven’t quite seen anything like it from any other brand. Their stuff seems to be on sale as well, might be a decent purchase to get one of the newer models
Will you also be making one of these with over ear headphones soon?
Great video. But so frustrating as an Android user that microphone quality seems so much better for the Air Pods pro. I assume the Galaxy buds 3 pro are far behind there?
Galaxy buds 3 pro is way better is blows the airpods pro away in sound quality.
@@halokil3 thanks but most interested in mic for calls
Mike how good is the fit on galaxy buds 3 pro?Are theg good fir working out?
hey you should get teh jabras elite of you are going to work out as well.
And codecs give a big different expeerience depending on what class of mobyle device you use
airpods 4 without ear vs nothing ear in terms of sound quality ?? which is good ?
Marshall motif 2 take the win for me! Absolute amazing sound and battery life is next level
Why the CMF buds pro 2 is not on the list ???
Great work
What about the Jabra elite active 8 second Gen? How does it compare to the momentum sport?
Which over ear anc headphone would you recommend under $150?
Listening on my buds 2 pro, comfy in my ears with above average ANC, sound quality is superb, average battery life, audio call is top notch.
I bought the nothing ear 2024 in a sale for 79euros damned what a surprise this ones are.❤
I care mostly about sound but am willing to pay more for good overall quality. I also have a samung. I'm wondering if I get Nothing Ear or Galaxy Buds Pro 3
Good information but you should look at the Rolling Square Hyphen Aria. These are worth a video
