Interesting video and good advice for your new puppy. Letting a puppy cry through the night in the beginning is OK if you live in a detached house with no neighbours nearby but not that fair on them if you live in a semi-detached property with neighbours who go to work early. I know you can let your neighbours know in advance that there will be noise but what advice can you give in these circumstances? Thanks in advance.

Hi, thank you for your question. Not all puppy's do cry and in our experience you can overcome the issue fairly quickly by leaving the puppy alone some of the time and not picking it up every couple of minutes. Try and collect your puppy first thing in the morning so they have a full day to settle in. Again, don't pick the puppy up every minute let it settle in to new surrounding. If your puppy is from a good breeder a lot of the early work is already done and they should only make a real fuss at feeding times. A couple of other suggestions are taking the puppy outside last thing at night for the toilet, make sure the puppy's crate is away from your neighbours walls and cover it up. You can always leave a radio on low through the night to start with as well. An alternative is to get a part trained dog so you do not have these issues but I appreciate a lot of new owners love the puppy stage. Hope this helps a bit. All the best from Kugae Gundogs.
