This brought back very fond memories that I wish I had videos of. My Shepherds were terrific at welcoming new pups. They became their teachers, parents, protectors, best friends and napping partners.
The Rottweiler being so gentle with the teeny sibling won my heart ❤️
The child like joy on the rottweiler face in the first few clips is just gold. Just raw happy emotion that they aren't even smart enough to fake. That rottweiler was very likely happier about the new family member then the owners were.

Very dangerous having dogs tied in the back seat of the car with the tie/lead attached to their collar. If they slip off the seat they could strangle. Better to have a seatbelt harness.
This, or a leash/collar with a safety disconnect. Put body weight on it, and it'll pop free. Family used it to train pups on staying on the back seat. But if they did slide off it would disconnect before it caused any discomfort.

I rescue dogs and brought 2 puppies recently. They're 7 in total. How I wish they would've reacted like this. It's been 4 months of hell, emotionally exhausting and I don't know if I will have to keep them apart forever 😭
Sometimes I think getting a puppy for my basset/beagle would be awesome. But then I think again because I barely have room on my bed as it is. 55# dog takes up 2/3 of a queen bed...

When the pup drags the toilet paper out into the hallway, big brother is sitting there thinking “I’m so getting blamed for this.”
Small tip before they meet, rub the old dog with a blanket and then rub the new dog with it, have it sleep on it for a few days, this makes the new dog smell a bit of the old dog, so when they meet there's a familiar smell to the new dog, makes the chance of the old dog accepting the new dog much higher.
Did it with our old dogs, they had no problems with each other.

When my dog met his daughter few months old, he had special father growl when he communicated with her. His daughter didn't forget to say goodbye to him, when she was sold to new owners.
I wish my girl was dog friendly but she has made it clear that this is a one dog home now. I lost my Pug almost 2 years ago and my girl just wasn’t having another dog brought in.
