    How could you possibly leave out the WouXun KG-1000G plus. Arguably the best mobile Gmrs radio, period.

    You did not include Wouxum gmrs radios in your review, How can you pick a best radio when you only reviewed a select few. Very disappointing and poor reporting. I find this video flawed due to the limited selection reviewed and not a true comparison of all the best available mobile radios.

      Yes, it has separate component boards and chips, not everything into in one chip, great sound and performance and can connect two units and build your own repeater system.

    Midland?! Hawwwkkkkkk. You'd be better off with a $150 used Motorola 1250 50W mobile that's been used by a cop for 20 years than you'd be with any new Midland. Just say no dude!

      I was wondering that, too. I was looking to see if another radio had come out as an alternative to the kg1000g+, and it didn't make the list of the to 5? That seems suspect to me.

    GMRS really didn't replace CB Radio. With CB radio, you're able to anyone and everyone that has a CB. GMRS on the other hand, was intended to be used similar to a Business Band, where you are only able to communicate with the individuals in your group or family. However, there are some open repeaters that you pick up the mic and chat with another person that isn't a member of your group just CB or HAM.

    • @togeika
      @togeika Год назад +3

      50 watts and repeaters set GMRS apart from CB.

    • @tortuga7160
      @tortuga7160 Год назад +2

      @@one-mmog You dont need to know anyone to use GMRS. Much further range and with GMRS you just start hitting the repeaters and start chatting!

    • @terrarecon
      @terrarecon Год назад

      @@one-mmog no one group owns any of the three types: CB, GMNRS, or HAM. So, therefore you are not required to belong to a group for any of these in order to communicate, because by default of the FCC all three types are public access with specific requirements; e.g. license for GMRS and HAM and no license requirement for CB. THEY ARE STILL PUBLIC ACCESS apart from some unique circumstances regarding repeaters for both GMRS and HAM. I have a HAM and GMRS. I prefer using my GMRS. It is a fast growing community. Pick your poison, or two or three. Again, I mainly use my GMRS. Most people I come across either have a GMRS radio or the no license FRS hand held you can pick up at Walmart, also no license required and on your GMRS radio you can communicate with an FRS radio within their limited transmission distances (about 1 to 2 miles avg).

      I listen to GMRS repeaters near my home and there are plenty of other guys that talk often from as far as several hundred miles away. I hear at least a dozen regular guys every day using my handheld at home. I'm looking for an affordable mobile for the car to see how I like it before investing in a $400 dollar radio. I also have a couple CB radios that don't pickup anything.

    These are some of the worst radios in the market.
    Used kenwoods, motorolas and icoms (find a part 95 radio yes they are available) are some of your cheaper routes for genuine quality.
    Wouxon kg-1000 would be the better choice for a chinese radio.
    .
    I bet this is a paid video to give midland a great review.
