Not for me. I despise the vanilla designs (except for the energy weapons) and already either replace them with modern guns or guns from previous games. Hopefully at some point we can just pick and choose which guns we want to be modified
@frankhorriganfromfallout2 Unpopular opinion. But I think fallout 4s 'Assault rifle' works as a fairly decent LMG, especially when you get the Assault rifle reanimation mod. And I don't hate the 10mm when you have the Cyberpunk reload installed.
Wow these attachments actually make the pipe weapons actually look pretty good. Especially when added with that piece gun retexture. Good job on making some of the most hated weapons less hatable Dak.
Ive been holding off replaying this game until this comes out. A lore friendly weapon overhaul that looks amazing. the wait has been awful but wow am I excited! great work as always !
5:20 Only nitpick I have is that the quickdraw grip adds a trigger guard which would, inherently, make you draw slower as the guard can get in the way. Otherwise I love the mods you added on these guns and all the others too! :)
Absolutely terrific work, Dak. Your mods are complete works of art and you and pig are doing some fantastic work here fleshing out the game's weapons and attachments in a very lore friendly fashion. Very much wanting to do a vanilla+ playthrough once this mod launches
Impressive work ya'll have been putting out recently! I think all you have left is the Cryolator, Flamer, Junk Jet, Missile Launcher and the Automatron weapons, if you're doing those! Could have a release way before Starfield at this rate!
love this mod in VR! with LL inject it lowkey adds a silent crafting community to the whole worldspace, with their random custom weapons and attachments.. improvised pipeguns can get really interesting

Looks post-apocalyptic & jury rigged but it doesn’t obscure your vision or distract the eye (to scream “look im a screw!” Like the vanilla pipe reflex sights do)-but also those components clearly read as irl hardware store fasteners, but without even having to look at them, your brain just clock’s what it’s components are. Really impressive!
The .22 Auto Revolver looks like it took some design language from the Webley-fosbery Automatic revolver - in the cylinder especially. With the grooves cut the way the are if you design the trigger to get get out of the way of the hammer I can see how that would actually work. The Webley-Fosbery worked similarly but was semi-auto (yes actually semi-Auto, not double action)
Edit: Never mind. I originally thought that the revolving pipe rifle had the character place off hand on the forearm grip in front of the cylinder. One suggestion on the pipe rifle. It looks like you are putting a forearm on it. This will require putting deflection wings on sides below the cylinder gap. The revolvers have a jetting of hot gasses and debris from the cylinder gap will cut into the arm of the user if a forearm position is used. Historically the forearm grip was abandoned for double grip on stock or a hook on trigger guard for off hand placement. The modern circuit judge revolving rifle opted for the wings. Interesting enough the circuit judge is a 45 long colt/.410 shot firearm rather similar to the pipe revolver. Love your work. Looking forward to trying out the mods.
As a gun nut, I am desperately trying to head canon a way for that revolver to be full auto. I assume that little bar structure on the back plays some part in the release of the hammer. Could be that the trigger, while pulled, allows the hammer to be continuously engaged. The hammer, being lighter than normal owing to it being a .22, is able to be pushed back enough by gas pressure (potentially collected by that bar structure), and with the trigger held, it simply falls forward hits the next cartridge, with the cylinder working on a double action system.
You definitely saved the pipe weapons! I always wanted to use the pipe weapons but got bored of them or they just couldn’t compete against most enemies. Thank you Dak!!!
Liking the new attachments, can't say there's anything else I'd want from the Pipe weapons that wouldn't be covered in the equally exciting remesh announcement. Maybe it'd be neat to give the Pipe weapons a sight option that resembles the flipped up sight picture on the Lee Enfield (as similar adjustable sights have been used on all sorts of firearms). I was actually unaware of the 22 pack. However its additions look rather neat.
As soon as this whole attachment thing is done. Will be Fully redoing some of my LO so I prioritize these options. And go from there. Especially the nasty lookin pipe weapons. You did them justice dawg.
i had thought of fat man attachment ideas. mainly a rocket propulsion system for mini nukes so they can go farther. and maybe an overcharge attachment that adds a fusion core to mini nukes and makes the explosion bigger but kills your range. so both attachents can work together. and since the little boy kit is in the game why not make a projectile that has a lower yeild but flys faster and farther like in new vegas.

Probably Eyshkeeper's post apocalypse pipe pack. I use both nina's replacer and the pack as a standalone. Then all of Pig's handmade packs and cranky and gmoi's weapons and defensegun and crude blowback and handmade revolver. Embrace craftmade, reject tacticool.
I have sought in vain for years to try and get Nina's on console, Sadly I'm not saavy enough nor own a computer to try and port myself even if I could get permission. If I could get this pack with nina's and cadaaver's 10mm anims I'd probably not have to use any other weapon and I could save myself a ton of space on my console, but cadaaver has already stated he wont' be porting it , too busy but has stated he wouldn't oppose someone else porting it.
That 22 Auto Revolver in my opinion really fits the retro futurism of the Fallout games and I love it! I wish you and your collaborators the best of luck developing the attachment pack and future mods.
Indeed. An auto revolver does exist with the webley auto revolver, but having a fun .22 revolver in fallout like this does work. Honestly we need more retro futuristic and older weapons in fallout 4. Hand crank Gatling guns, black powder weapons, maybe a plaslock gun or something similarly crazy but potentially plausible.
I'm definitely looking forward to the attachment pack. It will add more variety while avoiding the issue that replacers have for me with Sim Settlements 2 in how it can mess up the guns for some characters unless you have the vanilla guns left in.
The pipe revolver's Gunslinger setup just turns it into a Jakobs rifle, I'm quite interested in trying that out when it's released. I normally don't enjoy the pipe guns but this gives them a bit of new life.

Looking good. I can see some eyshkeeper influence, esp. In the revolver. Pity you didn't touch up the base receivers a bit cuz they're still wack. I think it'd be good to change the available ammo types to keep them distinct too. Rather than .308 or .45 or .38 revolver, why not munitions. 357, .44 and .45-70? Maybe as an optional extra.
On the one hand I get the idea of making the stock wood instead of polymer to match the look; but with the idea that these are supposedly home-made makeshift weapons, the mismatch of parts does fit with the lore. I would honestly include it as a optional file in the release.
I love that pipe weapons are getting some love! Honestly the most that they need are some custom animations. The default ones are clunky in the wrong way. The fact that all of them use the weird... reversed bolt action thing instead of a straight blowback for the non-bolt action pipe guns bewildered me.
I’m impatiently waiting to play this mod lol. Very few mods have jumped out at me like this one has and I just know this mod is going to be a mod list staple on day 1 of its release. This mod is going to free up like 5 to 7 spots on my list and for Xbox, every slot counts. I’m currently building a vanilla plus plus modlist to play on my ROG Ally and using this massive pack in combo with the new Institute overhaul will be perfect.
You and Pig are flying through the attachment pack, and im loving every update on it, Y'all are the best fr! Btw, i think you should add a barrel option that matches the light stock black, like a "sub barrel" or something like that.
The shotgun revolver chamber should've giving serious damage but caused a small amount of self-inflicted damage to the user until you unlock specific vanilla perk that removes it drawback.
Something i was always curious about if you stuck the pipe rifles magazine on the bottom you may be able to use the combat rifle or handnade rifle reload animations. I have no way of testing it myself but it's one of the ways to fix the pipe gun
With revolvers typically they cant be suppressed because of the nature of the cylinder and how gas/noise can escape from it (from my understanding). Would be nice to see some sort of insulated chamber mod which youd use in conjunction with the silencers in order to get it silenced
It looks so gooooood. That proves that most weapons in vanilla is implemented with good concept arts. The grudge I had with the most replacers out in the Nexus is that they look so bland. I actually got to used to the design of the pipe guns, I actually like them. I think the default assault rifle is really cool too, especially with a dark-colored retexture. The same thing with the pipe gun, the textures really do it.
They all look cool. Think you should add a version of the gunslinger stock with shotgun shells instead of bullets, to match with the pipe revolver shotgun recover.
The most plausible way I can see the pipe bolt action, and pipe submachine gun working, is in a sort of Krag Jørgensen type feed system, but only if you tilt you’re head a little to the side. Change my mind

all we need is this mod, a winchester model 70, a Skorpion SMG, PP-2K mod, and tacos' AK47 mod and we will all finally have more weapon mods for fallout 4 than almost sny other game. even Tarkov and Anomaly.

This is really good because I usually mod the pipe guns out completely. This gives me a reason to leave them in.
I like the soda can suppressor and the shovel stock, makeshift parts are neat.

I lvoe the Pipe Revolver shotgun mod, a suggestion tho. To be more in-line with FONV hunting revolver, switch the .308 with the 45-70 govt

i found a great mod to replace pipe guns with less ugly pipe guns that i still dont use, but this is great ty.
Idk but when i heard "suppressor" during the bolt action section i though of the welrod. That might be a fun idea, pipe gun styled after the welrod.

i’ve been putting together a mod list for a future playthrough for awhile now, and this is one of the only few mods I have yet to add. I can’t wait for release! And hey, get well soon man

all we need is this mod, a winchester model 70, a Skorpion SMG, PP-2K mod, and tacos' AK47 mod and we will all finally have more weapon mods for fallout 4 than almost sny other game. even Tarkov and Anomaly.

The pipe LMG does look cool. It envokes a weird marriage between the M60 and FG42.
Oof at the shotgun shell rechamber for the revolver being in 12 gauge. Say goodbye to your wrists if you're using it as a pistol.
Hell yeah! If and when I get my hands on Fallout 4, I'll be able to build an MTs-255 revolving shotgun with this mod!
