    Using a Fatman Launcher to deliver a whole barrel of Railway Spikes at any organic target at muzzle velocity, is both a terrifying and a vastly entertaining concept. And now Dak has made this into a possibility. 😂👍

    I say for the Broadside, take some inspiration from Pirates of the Caribbean and have a junk shot. Basically it can be a bundle of things like forks, spoons, knifes, screwdrivers, etc and shotgun blast them. Maybe you can get a raider to have a fork sticking out of his eye like that one pirate with the fake eye

      Is chainshot possible? Don't need a big spread. 4 targets 2 on the ends take moderate damage, some knockback, 2 in middle take light damage, some knock back. Don't know modding, just curious.

      @@peterwilks4391 or it could also cripple the target. But i guess it would look a bit awkward if projecile dissapears on contact. But again it would have to work the same way as junk jet projectile.

    I think for the Missile option for the Harpoon gun, the Missile projectile should act like the Miss Launcher from Fallout 3. It would make sense since the harpoon gun is pressure based, and would distinguish the Missile option from the normal Missile Launcher.

      The pressure from the harpoon gun could also increase direct contact damage. A kinda reward for accuracy

    You could make the Broadsider shoot elemental cannon balls. Imagine a flaming cannonball flying towards your face before it explodes

      For the the broadsides, I suggest adding a new part that changes the launching mechanism
      Pneumatic reciever: shorter range, faster fire rate and silenced (just because)
      N.D.S (nuclear detonation system): Increases the range, damage and adds some radiation to the package but firing it radiates yourself like the assaultron head
      Gauss Gun Receiver: massive increase damage and range but you have to charge it and it’s slower to reload.

    Since you asked about suggestions for the Broadsider, I gave myself the liberty to add in a bunch of suggestions for it. Pick and choose as you wish, hope it helps your modding ideas!
    Muzzle Devices - Who doesn't love comically oversized muzzle brakes?! I'm gonna let your imagination run wild and leave this one blank for you. Have fun!
    *Projectile Types:*
    Canister/Grape Shot - Loaded inside a Tin can or glass bottle with shrap rattling inside.
    Beehive Round - A bundle of railway spikes/flechettes that has better range and AP than canister.
    Cluster Bomb - A bundle/bouquet of grenades that patterns out and explodes.
    Chain Shot - Terrific limb damage, can decapitate several enemies in a line. Single shot.
    Caribbean Special - Shrapnel shot consisting of forks, knives and other kitchen utensils.
    Ball Break - Similar to canister shot but using pool balls. Fewer projectiles, more damage.
    APDS/APFSDS - Fires a solid pointed saboted projectile that ignores all enemy armor.
    Redfail - Fires a small group of stakes/spears. Pitiful damage. Adds bleed effect?
    Missile Mayhem - Launches unignited missiles into the air that spin around randomly in the air and then fires of in various directions after a certain time.
    Flamer Fuel Canister - Since a molotov would break instantly when shot, use this instead.
    Leviathan Dragon's Breath - Need I say more?
    Metal Storm Insert - Fires like full-auto "grape shot", but each volley increases in damage until empty. For reference, Metal Storm was a prototype volley weapon system, google for more info.
    *Barrel Mods:*
    Smooth Bore - Better accuracy/spread with multi-projectile ammunition types.
    Polygonal/Fine Rifling - Better ballistics with single-projectile ammunition types.
    Fluted Barrel - Reduces Weight.
    Bayonet - What weapon is complete without a bayonet? Uses a seaman's saber or similar!
    EM Coil Gun Booster - Adds coils from a coil gun to electromagnetically boost projectiles.
    Children Of Atom Mod - Adds CoA gubbins to the barrel, you may even have to sacrifice a fusion core. Rad damage aplenty!
    Sight Rail - Adds a sight rail to the barrel so you can install custom sights.
    Aluminium Frame - Changes the material to aluminium, decreasing weight.
    Laser Sight - What 1700s cannon is complete without a laser sight?!
    Blast Shield - Gives you some damage resistance from incoming fire.
    Octagonal Barrel - No idea tbh? lol. Just cosmetic?
    Cryo Cooling Tubes - Cooling tubes wrapped or similar around the barrel. Increases fire rate.
    Vaccum Pump/Motor - Helps by "sucking in" the ammunition, speeding up reloads. (lol)
    *Propellants* (you could add something to the side of the chamber to indicate the effects):
    Propellant Booster +P - Increases damage and projectile velocity slightly.
    - Propellant Booster, Flamer Fuel - Also adds a plume of fire in front that deals fire damage.
    - Propellant Booster, Oil Cannister - Also adds a small incendiary effect to every projectile.
    CLG Propellant System - Allows you to charge up a shot the longer you hold down the fire button, to decide how powerful you want the projectile(s) to fly. Might be too hard to implement though.

      Oh and for incendiary effects, I think you can NIF-bash the flamers frame onto the Broadsider without too much change since they are both held the same way. Similarly with the minigun I also believe.

    I think it might be more accurate to call the artillery modification for the Fat Man, the mortar modification, to better convey the fact it is of extremely short range.
    I also really doubt launching a whole .50 cal through the railway rifle is going to do more damage, unless it can achieve a similar or greater muzzle velocity than a proper rifle can, which I doubt this airgun could achieve. Maybe the magnetic accelerator barrel could pull it off. Hope the bullets are made out of steel.

    A little suggestion for railroad rifle's accelerator barrel, if possible of course. Could you add capacitors (like those you have on vented barrel for radium rifle) on each disk and ideally a little circuit board to make it feel a little bit more... "electro magnetic".
    + It would be kinda funny and very Fallout to have those relatively small capacitors power the whole mechanism

    For the Fatman:
    How about a modification that uses glass as ammunition?
    The material is very common (and terrifying for your enemy to be hit by a wall of broken glass...)
    Another that uses some form of ceramic as a solid ammunition.
    I can imagine survivors of the apocalypse finding a fatman and adapting it to throw whatever comes to hand.

    For the harpoon launcher You should add and ammo option called massive harpoons which will stick out the barrel to increase the bash damage but decrease reload speed

    For the Broadsider, I'd say add an option for a Bronze Barrel. Bronze Barrels were common during the war for Independence, especially the French Gribeauval line of cannons, under the French Expeditionary force. In fact, 2 Bronze 6 pounder cannons sit at the Base of Bunker Hill's monument. that way, you could simply use a retexture for the cannon and not worry about matching textures for the new gun barrel, and give it it's own quirkiness.

    For the Broadsider you can make it a slow firing rotary barrel like some old-school designs, so as it fires it spins a drum for added capacity at the expense of accuracy and reload time, as each chamber must be loaded individually, and you could even make an ammo type that act like a Nebelwerfer 41 and shoot rockets but they are inaccurate and arc all over the place. You could also change the damage type to Energy and have it fire just one big Laser, Electric, Or Plasma blast like a makeshift Tesla Cannon, and even upgrade it to a charged shot and have it operate like a laser musket (in this case Laser Cannon) or a Rail Gun (Rail Cannon?), and finally you can make it so it shoots from a breach like the double-barrel shotgun and load a more "modern" shell like a recoiless rifle, but it's only able to load 1 at a time, but it's also a devastating non-rad damage weapon.

    If you were doing attachments for Pipe guns, I would argue you could probably make a few new receivers to accept boxes, maybe even a "heavy pipe gun" from the concept art, though that would take a lot of work to add in a double barrel, drum fed machine gun thing.

    I love how these modifications, especially with the Fatman, Broadsider, and Railway Rifle are some of the most goofy Fallout ones yet: especially shooting an entire 50 caliber bullet out of the railway rifle. I've only seen "X% more bullet" as a thing connected to TF2 and remembering that made my evening.
    The Fatman as well, how it remains so devastating even without the actual mini nuke being used. This pack is getting better and better with each update.

    About the Broadsider, the Portuguese might help. They liked breechloaders in the 15/16th Centuries. Using preloaded "mug chambers", they could achieve a greater rate of fire. Another trick, which frankly sounds unfeasible in Fallout 4, was making the cannon ball bounce several times on the water, increasing the effective range and going over several enemy ships, breaking masts, legs, morale...
    Couple more possibilities are adding a bronze/brass barrel, costing a lot of copper. Besides looking better, they were lighter cannons, and would give some signs of wear instead of instantly bursting into shrapnel like cast iron (better durability in 3/NV). A joke option would be the square bullets from the puckle gun, which also was a cannon-sized revolver.
    Finally, we have ribauldequins. Munitions added lead balls, let's have a Broadsider with 18 barrels and fire all of them at once in some general direction. We'll be sure to hit some thing(s?).

    You know thinking it over, the Broadsider is just a broadside naval cannon, there's a lot to be had with the concept of it being in all sense an cannon. Other than taking into consideration that it's weathered, cleaning it up or having a material change could make it more accurate with its shots, and the barrel already showing it was designed to be changed allows for you to remove the frontal piece to att attachments like an version of the oriental dragon( or deathclaw for laughs ) cannon head an extra fire damage, or narrowing and elongation the barrel itself to mimic the civil war Parrott rifle and with it, it's use of particular shot. And then there's the fun out there types of cannons like the multi barrel and shot kind. All of this comes along with how much you'd want to sci-fi the cannon past its mixed historical and science fiction version right now.

    For the broadsider, there's a few interesting options. I'm not sure if you just called its ammo 'canisters' as a form of standardization or not, but there's actually a difference. Grapeshot would act like a giant shotgun, while canister shot would be closer an air-burst fragmentation mine launched at great speed. Considering the practical effect would just be a much tighter grouping at much further range, you could probably just make it an advanced form of grapeshot with reduced spread and longer range. Another option would be timed fuses on explosives, which admittedly wouldn't be all that different from a grenade launcher version of The Striker. Speaking of the fatman, you could probably remake the GRA cluster munitions for that with baseball grenades.

    For the Broadsider.
    1: A shoulder strap/sling, or Aliens style smart gun mount.
    (Make it more logically portable as canons are super heavy irl)
    2. The metal matching could be solved by adding in a weld line to make it seem like the barrels are welded onto the cannon body.
    3. A side grip would be a good addition to make it a bit more manoeuvrable.
    Just a thought or 3 lol

    Some suggestions for the broadsider attachments, chain shot is very traditional to cannons. Could be used as a slightly lower damage version that causes knocked down or damage to limbs. Another interesting ammo type could be scrap shot, like in a blunderbuss where they used to add nails, nuts, bolts and screws as improvised shot. It could be a lower damage variant of the grapeshot. Also having a second weapon that shoots the modified bowling ball ammo from far harbor couldn't hurt... Lol maybe even the pins.
    As for other attachments that's a real head starcher, maybe a blunderbuss style barrel that actually increases spread for the shotgun type ammos? This one is wild, but maybe a barrel that has motorized Wheels like the pitching machine to increase projectile velocity??
    As for the frame of the broadsider, this is a stretch but maybe using car shocks to lower recoil? Or big chunky springs.
    Other then that I can only think of material changes, like brass or bronze skins. But I don't see how that could be of any benefit besides aesthetics.

    For the broad sider I would add the option of ball and chain shot, it’s “ability” would be extra limb damage to legs to simulate the chain wrapping around.
    Another idea is take the barrel from then placeable artillery cannons and make that an attachment, while it’s attached you could use artillery shell ammunition. No idea if that’s possible but I like the idea of it haha.

    if you can make poison explosives that just makes a cloud of poisonous gas you could use that for the fatman or the broadsider there is also the acid damage type to mess around with if you want to make a flamethrower modification that sprays that instead.

    A receiver/stock option for the railway rifle that is more in line with the gauss style would be pretty cool, so it doesn't look as jarring (or a texture for the gauss parts that makes them rustier and junkier).
    For the broadsider, besides the cool ideas people mentioned (mirelurk eggs! forks and spoons! junk!) you could also look into a wood frame (yeah it's ridiculous but also kind of piraty, could even come with a hat)! Or something completely different, like exchanging the cannon for a big robot arm, or a turret part!

    Suggestions:
    Radium rifle: maybe have increased rate of fire for the finned barrel, as the fins would provide extra surface area to help cool the barrel
    Broadsider: rifled breech loading barrel for increased range, accuracy, and rate of fire. An ammunition conversion that converts the cannon shell into a more modern conical shell for increased range, armor penetration and accuracy. Sabot round for increased armor penetration and velocity. Hot shot ammunition which fires a heated round which adds fire damage. Chain shit (2 cannonballs connected via a chain) for increased limb damage/chance to cripple limbs and potential to knock down the target
    Is the explosive shot canister the artillery shell the version that was cut from the vanilla game?
    Railway rifle and harpoon gun: uranium spikes/harpoons for radiation damage
    Railway rifle: high pressure receiver for increased velocity, range, accuracy and armor piercing. High pressure/high temperature receiver which converts the ammo type to flamer fuel and unleashes a jet of high pressure high temperature steam (similar to the “steam shout” from Dwemer centurions from Skyrim) dealing ballistic and energy damage and has a 50% chance of crippling limbs/increased limb damage and a chance to insta behead but has vastly reduced range

    Can't wait for this to finally be released!!!! One suggestion I have is for the radium rifle, radium omits a green light and a cool alternative to the dishes emitting radiation the bullets themselves were coated in radium making the projectiles act like ghostly green tracer rounds, while also leaving trace amounts of radium at the end of the barrel, just a thought, Can't wait for this to finally release!!!!!

    Man i really love the way you guys think in a way of creativity.
    It will be sooo goofy and funny to have the Harpoon Gun getting repurposed into a jury-rigged grenade or mine launcher type of weapon together with the option to making this straight into a rocket "launcher"
    I do so hope that some of the new Radium RIfle attachments which dont have the CoA theme fitted to them will work on the Generic Radium Rifle mod or somebody make a patch for that when the Attachment Pack finally drops.

    Ironically cutting vent holes in the barrel shroud of the radium rifle would cause the delayed blowback mechanism to no longer work. Idk if it would cause the gun to blow up but you will definitely get problems. It's pretty funny to think of a child of atom doing this to make his gun look cool not knowing this lol. This pack is looking even more amazing after every update keep up the good work

    The Broadsider needs non explosive cannon balls that can be picked back up like the bowling balls for the Striker but stronger. Love the idea of nailing a raider in the noggin with a physical object and watching as he goes flying end over end

    You have some awesom, these additions in this mod pack, acouple of things that look especially fun are the flechette ammo for the harpoon gun, and the harpoon bundle on the Fatman. The silencer you added to the Radium Rifle seems absolutely perfect using the "mismatched" skin. It's looks like an attached part, which is perfect for a suppressor... unless you were going for an integral look. If you wanted an integral suppressor, then the skin needs to match the barrel, if you wanted to illustrate an attached suppressor, then I think you nailed it with what you have already. Also, reading a few other comments as I type mine out, I am reminded of the new missle options you created for the Harpoon Gun and Fatman these seem like they would add a great deal of entertainment in using these weapons.

    I'd say it's fine for the Radium Rifle to have a mis-colored suppressor. The gun already has a bunch of bootleg work done to it, so having a suppressor that isn't quite right kind of matches that energy.
    Also, the Fatman ammo changes all look horrifying, especially the harpoon cluster.
    I feel like it'd be neat to have a Broadsider grip stylized off of a ship's helm.

    so im thinking for the broadside, a "light grip", which removes some of the metal framing but increases recoil but also increases hipfire accuracy
    and for barrels im thinking an "extended" and "extended light", both improve range and accuracy, and the light version is well, lighter, the model could just be an extra barrel model slapped on
    heck you could even add a "laser grip" with a light and steady version, så there's actually something you could aim for when "aiming", if it's even possible
    and for the magazine, maybe a "fusion core magazine"/"fusion cell magazine", in which your character shoves a fusion core / a fusion cell bundle down the barrel, if it's a fusion core that's shoved down, then the Broadsider can shoot a Liberty Prime laser 3 times, if it's the fusion cell bundle that's shoved down, then the Broadsider can shoot an Assaultron laser 5 times.

    Broadsider receiver idea: Liberty Bell.
    Maybe even lock it behind a short quest: Gives a very loud ring sound when fired, and maybe give it a significantly increased Crit Chance reflecting how lucky the founding fathers were to win against, at least at the time, one of the worlds two biggest super-powers. (Spain being the first)

    Canister(Lots of musket balls)
    Chain-shot (A Cannonball cut in half attached with a chain, maybe it could slice someone in half or decapitate them)

    For the Fatman mine launcher attachment, I feel like the mines should have more impulse to fly a bit farther. Setting a bundle of mines at your feet, especially carrying a fatman, makes me feel like I'll blow myself and the approaching deathclaw up

    Dak for the .50 cal Railway Rifle, it should have explosive damage. If you're shooting the entire .50 BMG cartridge, there's 290 grains of powder in there... would make a nice little bang on impact.

    The railway rifle acceleration barrel needs to have some components attached to the side of it, like the electrified barrel to show something charging the barrel up to fire it. Doesn't need the electric spike animation.

    The Radium Rifle suppressed barrel suppressor defo needs to match the rest of the barrel.
    Also a Fatman with Missiles or Harpoons must make for great salvos when you got enemies.

    So, explosive harpoons are absolutely already a thing. It might be cool if the exploding harpoons you add looked like them. Also, this isn't anything to do with the weapon itself, but how the game automatically names weapons based on what they do: You should absolutely tweak things so that a harpoon gun modified to shoot explosive harpoons is called a bomb lance, which is what those weapons are often called.

    Hi Dak, I noticed an issue only on Xbox where when you add one of the new attachments to a weapon type it causes an issue with reloading. The issue is you have to press the reload button multiple times before the gun will reload. At first I thought it was an issue with the controller itself so I tested it on multiple controllers and I had the same issue. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I thought I’d bring it to your attention. Thanks for all the work you guys do. Appreciate it.

    I think you should add a receiver for the railway rifle that has a burst effect. I would love that. For the broadsider, add something like an underbarell that extends magazine and makes the second projectile a harpoon. It could also use a bayonet, I think it could be a machete glued on with duct tape. Hope you add them.

    I can't help but wonder why you guys haven't been releasing these things standalone? There have been a LOT of attachments for many of the weapons now that you've shown us that I'm excited for but it's been SO long now. How many more weapons are left to work on and how big will the file size be for the attachment pack once it's finished? Sorry I'm not trying to be "that guy" but I'm just genuinely curious at this point. I'm not complaining at all, I understand you've all been hard at work on this and you've done an outstanding job! I'm just confused about the no standalone decision is all. Keep up the great work! This thing is going to be AMAZING!

    You should add an upgraded heating barrel, using a heating coil instead of the flame.
    Btw. When using the railway rifle with the heating barrel and 50. Cal reciver, wouldn't the bullet explode

    If you're having trouble matching the suppressor color on the Radium Rifle suppressed barrel, you could add duct tape or a clamp around the seam, give it more of that CoA scrappy feel. Also, a Sten-like pipe stock for the Radium Rifle would be dope imo.
    Still, fantastic work! Love that mine launcher upgrade for the Fat Man!

    That Fatman Launcher is missing something. I GOT IT!!! It needs to fire a Todd Howard Cardboard Cuttout because it just works. The cuttout makes a nuke explosion with him saying "16 times the detail" and then some Todds would run out of it and wreak havoc regardless of alignment, it would be chaotic and hilarious.

    i don't know what it is with the railway rifle as it's stats are not great but it's one of my most used firearms, the more you use it the better it gets and anything fleshy it just destroys them, obliterates death claws with ease, sticks gunners and raiders heads to walls...I just love it so i'm looking forward to trying your new attachments

    It would be super cool if you added chain shot to the broad sider. maybe since it's purpose was to destroy rigging and masts have it give the cripple leg effect like big gym in exchange for lower damage. I don't know if that's possible not knowing how mods work but I think that would fit great!
