It's chilli, palm sugar, coriander root, crushed garlic, lemon juice or lime, and seasoning with oyster sauce and fish sauce.. it's a beautiful all-rounder in Thai food

Mango sticky rice is probably my favorite sweet treat in the world, I miss it so much, it's too expensive in NZ and the mango they have to use is average. I'm hoping I can find some in Indonesia this September 😍

If he thinks that the Patong area is bad, he obviously has never been to Pattaya, especially 10-20 years ago when it was peaking.
Exactly late 90,s through 08 thriving parties, especially around 2000 to 05. 70 % of bars are empty now, it's a shame because Thailand is great, but like anywhere it's way over priced now especially buying ladies drinks ridiculously expensive.

I mean I went there in the late 90,s early 2000,s a few times.
But up until about 2 years ago I hadn't been back.
I use to always hang in Patong Beach.
Because for 2 years I stayed there a lot when I worked out of Vietnam, early 2000,s I also lived in Samui for 6 months in 05 but hadn't been there either until just before Covid.
But yeah if you want volume of ladies Pattaya is the best.
Although honestly where ever you go in Thailand you,ll always find gorgeous ladies. Cheers

Last time I was in Patpong was 24th Dec 2004. My Italian mother insisted I be back in Australia for the family Xmas gathering. 2 days later, the big Tsunami hit. Sad but glad its back stronger than ever.

i recommend Tonsai beach in Krabi, it's connected to the mainland but you can only get there by boat cos it's surrounded by massive limestone cliffs. super cheap beers, weed, mushrooms, good rock climbing, and it's like a 20 minute walk to the famous Railay Beach

Pad see ew is the most common for Thai people, pad thai for backpackers who don’t seem to try anything else.
Som Tum (papaya salad) is from North East Thailand (isan) on the Laos border, very spicy region.

The cheaper all you can eat seafood buffet is called Khon Kaen buffet. It’s quite a bit of a distance fromPatong Beach, and about a 12 min walk from the bottom end from Bangla rd, but it’s 400 Baht per person, and you cook it yourself. I think a large beer was 120 Baht . Prawns, fish, seafood sticks, thin strips of beef & fried rice as well. Chips & nuggets for the kids. You even get ice cream included . Not a fancy place to eat in, but cheap.

Red, green and yellow curries are called the traffic light curries and where designed for international palettes. Thai people don't usually eat them. Different names and different styles for what the locals eat. If you see red, green curry on a menu in Thailand you know you're in a tourist restaurant.

Patong is fun, while you were there you should of went to Phi Phi Island it's paradise. When you're in Bangkok go to Soi4 Nana Plaza, Soi 11 and Soi Cowboy. If you want a nice place and see some Thai nightlife go to Soi 6 in Pattaya and Walking Street.
