What opening drama? Tony expressed that he still doesn't understand why Polin adopts RAW as such a strong part of his identity if he doesn't care about some of the obvious benefits it confers (like a higher dynamic range). Polin failed to provide an adequate explanation on that point. Then they moved on. They didn't even really raise their voices.
Not only that, but they pretty much buried the hatchet on the whole RAW vs. JPEG thing, by indicating that they both have pretty similar views on their relative utility (with Polin saying just shoot whatever you want in the beginning when you're learning skills/artistry)

I don't think he was inappropriate at all, and I recon this might be a cultural thing as I live in Europe and not in the US, but I don't get why everyone is so offended because he said "the F bomb" a couple of times; it makes me think a big part of T&C's audience is either over 70 or in elementary school to act that freaked out. I was actually disappointed in this weeks show. I thought the building would be on fire, Tony would be ripping his hair out, Jared would be yelling RAW RAW RAW over everyone trying to speak, and Chelsea would be sitting there chill through it all. But this was a very mellow show. J/k guys I loved the show and it was great to see how everyone interacted with each other. Hope Jared comes back to the show.
“How do you even get to f4.7?” Lol this whole piece of content is gold. The online photography community can often get overly romantic and repetitive. Jared is both entertaining and talented - has always been. Don’t forget, very few top photography RUclipsrs are actually both good entertainers and good photographers. Say what you want about his attitude, Jared is a beast at what he does. As an entrepreneur/businessman/ storyteller/innovator/RUclipsr/producer/photographer he’ll always get respect from me. All respect to Tony and Chelsea, but Jared is in a league of his own. Gives 1000% to every piece of content he releases. Damn near untouchable in comparison to his peers.
People who like both t&c and Jared can understand how great this is being the first opportunity to c both of em in same page somehow sharing the screen And people complaining about Jared's f bomb ...just take it easy folks Hope next time they come up with planned edited edited edition of togetherness lol
Tony and Chelsea are absolutely amazing. I love the accuracy and poise that you both have. I love your humility during this interview Tony, as great as you are as a photographer you never speak boastfully although you could. I applaud you both for your patience with Jared. I’m subscribed to you both because you guys make amazing videos. However sometimes Jared needs a slice of humble pie.
The tension was obvious but something I got from this was how differently they do things but are still professionals. This is a great lesson for those who think there is only one certain way to make great photos. Find your style and run with it!
@Cerus98 If you actually meet him once (Jared) you would see why so may ppl have such a poor opinion of him, he just comes across as an insecure, egotistical little men, on the other hand, Tony & Chelsea come across as pretty much what you see right here: Kind & Polite, although to be fair, I’ve only seen them twice and never really a had a long conversation with neither one of them (Tony, or Chelsea)
I thought this show was awkward which is surprising because I like Jared's you tube's but he didn't seem to be the same guy on this show. Tony didn't look comfortable at any point. This was Moose II, not quite as bad but close. The choppy video link doesn't help.
I went to a three hour Nikon presentation for the Z 6&7 last week at my local camera shop. The Nikon Rep, one of only 5 of his type, district Reps, in the country, informed us that Nikon is going ahead with the production of F-mount lenses. He stated with certainty that Nikon has NO intention of quitting the production of DSLR’s any time soon.
I don't think Jared is a good option for a show of your calibre? Swearing, offending everybody and being rude is useally not enjoyable... unless you like Jerry Springer? A good experiment but not one worth repeating. Tony did a good job keeping his pose and Chelsea as the funny diplomat, well done. Get Peter Mckinnon on your show. Friendly good values and no swearing.
Damn, I so wanted to catch this and take part, but an OS update ruined it. Anyway, a few things on what Jared said re. getting into a venue with your camera: It really depends on the venue and how popular the artist is. I mostly shoot smaller bands, indie artists, club concerts, newcomers etc. and have absolutely no problem in most cases. From a certain size on it's getting more difficult, maybe around the >€30 ticket mark. "Professional camera" in most cases means system cameras/interchangable lenses, I was able to get into concerts where I had to leave my Fuji X-T1 behind but was allowed to take the X100 in. Speaking of, my Fujis are often mistaken for film cameras, and the security often doesn't care about film cameras. This is actually one major reason why I chose Fuji (I could see some Olympus cameras work in the same way). DSLRs are instantly seen as "Pro", no matter if Rebel or 1D, so depending on the policies of the place it's hardest to get in with. Another main reason to use mirrorless instead of DSLRs is silent shooting, often DSLR photographers tend to annoy the audience around them, especially on acoustic concerts. In any case, I'm getting my cameras into 95% of the concerts I'm actually interested in, and when I'm in I try to be as stealthy as possible to not annoy anyone.
Thanks guys. great show.....insecurities aside. I'm glad you gave me the opportunity to gain a new respect for JP's knowledge, and his sensitivity. It's there, all you have to do see through the curtain of defense. I sure didn't expect Tony to come out swinging the way he did. That would make anyone put their dukes up, but after all is said and done, I think you guys actually gained a somewhat deeper appreciation for each other, granted, with a little help from the beautifully intelligent, intuitive Chelsea. Again, thanks for another great show, and please bring Jared back again.
It was a great conversation, I really enjoyed it, thank you. Jared has great energy and he really comes accross as a nice guy who has his stuff sorted out. Thank you for having him on the show, it was awesome.
Fantastic seeing you all together! Both perspectives are incredible. True artists are awkward together. Tony’s rant on ISO helps explain Jared shooting RAW. So many in camera differences going to raw has helped skip the details of each model. Tony and Chelsea going into detail with micro 4/3 and various benefits has got me capturing better pictures in camera. Raw is nice but the extra work is a pain when capturing what I want has become so much easier. I would love to see an editing comparison with the different styles for a few control pictures. How your work flows are different. Highlight the artistic eyes from all of you. Jared limits to kit lens shoots and focus on getting the shot Tony and Chelsea focus on getting the results from different formats and aspect ratios. Truly enjoy how each of you find ways to show the art of photography. Demonstrating whatever you use to capture a story, make it your own and maximize what you have. Glass is king but you all work to demonstrate gear is secondary to passion. Tony has much more to say and it shows. I love it! You should do a raw vs jpeg as I think you’re both correct. Though it is nice to have my white balance control in post. My camera is in Jared + Tony. Keep the videos coming!
Jared reminds me of 15 yrs old who tries to act tough by using curse words. Curse words should accentuate a point or to point out in issues with mean intentions. Just saying them in general convo sounds silly. Such a goofball. Well he does live in a so drug infested area surrounded by meth/heroin addicts.
This was great fun to watch, if not a little awkward at times, which is what I think we all wanted! Enjoy both of your channels greatly. Thanks for all the content you both do!
I did start photography shooting raw because "pros" told me to... and i spend hours editing and taking photos thinking "oh i case change everything on post editing...", then i realized that the camera jpeg was doing a great job compare to what i was doing, and i start to have thousand photos unedited.... so now i enjoy shooting good jpeg, and when it is very critical and i know i'll need to retouch, i shoot raw.
I didn't know what to expect with this one. I'll admit, Jarrod wasn't growing on me in any positive sense there at first watching previous videos. But I see a very different side here. Well, two actually. His usual sarcastic side. But theirs a side I think many ppl here are not seeing also. A side, off camera many wouldn't see as genuine, and he let's his guard down.
Great program. Thank you for putting the differences aside. I hope you will keep sharing your experiences with us because everyone has a LOT to learn with you 3!!!
Jered is ironically pretty RAW. I watch his channel once in a while but I really don’t connect with his style as much as others. He has plenty of great things to share but the crude and often rude edge isn’t necessary. I do like him when he delivers some solid content that informs his viewers. I guess that translates into less of that in-your-face facade and more insightful content would be much better. But hey, you guys got through that show and it was quite a contrast. That’s a huge step and it was worth watching! I think Jered was actually uptight and maybe a different set up would work better. Perhaps all of you on location talking about how you each would approach a particular photography challenge. That would bring out the distinctive styles you each have and would work well. More of a ‘collaboration’ than a ‘his side, your side’ scenario. Next?.... Tony, Chelsea, collaborate with our Canadian bro Peter McKinnon. I’d be very interested to see that collab. My prediction is a really insightful and inspiring hour+ talk. There would be more honest laughter, rather than cringing waiting for a bomb to drop. That was somewhat nerve wracking to be honest. And Chelsea, you are still the goddess, and so hilarious! You were doing your best to keep that talk as civil as possible while not really knowing what was going to happen. That had to have been exhausting. Everyone knew about the obvious Elephant-in-the-room starting point and you all made it through. It wasn’t easy for any of you, but you did it and I do believe there was a benefit for everyone involved. On to the next thing! Well done :-)
I have changed my mind about Olympus and Jered Jared is Hilarious I never saw this side of him Just sold all my M43 stuff (I have all PRO Olympus lenses) Went out and bought NIKON Z6 and Z7 and will stay a NIKON shooter for a long time thanks to Jered for his channel and thanks to tony and Chelsea for all they do regards, Rick
I watch T&C often and Jared every now and then so I know both to a certain degree. That said, I am not sure I have heard Jared drop the F-bomb to start a show or at all within one of his shows. As an adult, if someone starts using that language and that kind of sarcasm I'm out of the convo pretty quick. Especially if I have a live microphone. I love dry humor and all but it seemed pretty defensive to me and I felt sorry for Jared as I do enjoy him on his channel and I feel he departed from what I normally see of him which is why I would tune in to watch this (to see the Jared I normally enjoy). Bummer.

THAT WAS AWESOME !!!!! THE SMALL AMOUNT OF TENSION AND DISCOMFORT BETWEEN YOU GUYS REALLY ADDED TO THE SHOW ... LOVE THAT YOU ALL GOT TOGETHER FOR THIS ,, DIFFERANCES IS WHAT MAKES US BETTER AND SHOULD BE CELEBRATED . LOVE BOTH TONY &CHELSEA AND JARED... TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST , NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE YOU GUYS TOGETHER . GREAT JOB TO ALL !!!
To be fair, Tony pretty much just roasted Jared with the DR comment---Burn!
nope, he just roast himself, take a look of his face on the end..
He did roast Jared good.. especially when he said "you shoot raw, but don't care about dynamic range?" 🤣🤣
Jared didn’t have a proper rebuttal to that one
@@izoyt you what? his face was normal lol
The fact that this live actually happened is so cool! And i'm just a few minutes in and it's a riot!
I have no clue what the whining in this comment section is all about. Nice co-op and nice, engaging banter.
^yes
Agreed
Signed,
Jared
Great viewing! I love the Fro and you guys!
I love to see Ken invited to this podcast :D now that's a freakin' idea
I'm so glad to see you work together. I haven't seen this video yet, but just seeing you guys together, after that jpeg vs raw videos, made me happy
Why must you torture us with this fool?
Agreed
Thank you Chelsea for hosting the show! You’re AWESOME!!!!
This was fantastic! I love both channels and it was fun watching them together. Hope they do it again!
More podcasts like this one please :) so much fun to watch!
Absolutely brilliant! I loved every moment of it. You lot need to make more videos together.
People who like both t&c and Jared can understand how great this is being the first opportunity to c both of em in same page somehow sharing the screen
And people complaining about Jared's f bomb ...just take it easy folks
Hope next time they come up with planned edited edited edition of togetherness lol
Great video!
You should do a segment with Mark Smith on bird photography.
Britt Head Literally found his channel two days ago, he does fantastic work.
This was really great that you guys invited Jared. This shows you guys have class GREAT JOB GUYS!
LMAOOOOO Jared personifies everything about Philadelphia i love that man
Tony and Chelsea are absolutely amazing.
Marc Will well said!
This live show is hard to swallow. Because I love all of you hahah
I do admire both Jared and ( Tony & Chelsie ). The contribution you have made to the photography world is of important. Greetings from Puerto Rico :)
A camera's dynamic range only really matters at high ISO.
At 100 ISO, even the cheap DSLRs have more than enough dynamic range.
The tension was obvious but something I got from this was how differently they do things but are still professionals. This is a great lesson for those who think there is only one certain way to make great photos. Find your style and run with it!
Jared Polin "Fro Knows how to be arrogant .com!"
So sad I missed this live. But love all three of you. I'm so happy seeing this video
I thought this show was awkward which is surprising because I like Jared's you tube's but he didn't seem to be the same guy on this show. Tony didn't look comfortable at any point. This was Moose II, not quite as bad but close. The choppy video link doesn't help.
Agreed. Plus Jared dropped way too many F bombs and he did it on Tony's show as a guest...purposely rude.
Friendly good values and no swearing.
interesting, since I don't hear much swearing on his channel. He must have been doing it intentionally.
I'm really glad you all had him on. It is nice to see the contrasting styles you have. Jared is RAW... pin intended. Great show as always.
Always really liked Fro`s sets, they`re all lit so nicely.
THIS IS SOOOO AWKWARRDDD...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jared limits to kit lens shoots and focus on getting the shot
Tony and Chelsea focus on getting the results from different formats and aspect ratios.
Well he does live in a so drug infested area surrounded by meth/heroin addicts.
ll
Jack, you are a piece of shit person. Read your last sentence again and then look at what you're bitching about
This was great fun to watch, if not a little awkward at times, which is what I think we all wanted! Enjoy both of your channels greatly. Thanks for all the content you both do!
Lmao this was so cringy that I laughed out loud. "YOU TIED YOUR WHOLE IDENTITY TO A FILE FORMAT" 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭💀💀
I loved the red picture with the cowboy in the background. - Beautiful.
Lost a ton of respect for Jared after watching this. Tony and Chels, you've got a new sub.
It's 2:16 am here in Austin Tx, and I'm so here for this! This show is totally fun and dynamic! ( range.)
I really enjoy both of your channels for different reasons, but that was a tad awkward in places!
Gotta love creatives that don't quite agree!
Personally just think Chelsea doesn’t get Jared’s humor and that’s what is throwing off the collab or maybe just the lag idk
This was great, do it again!!!
Great job guys - both of you! Do it more often ... Jared's awesome at what he does and Tony and Chelsea are great in their own way too!
Jared: No need for all the F-bombs
Tony doesn't let Jared and Chelsea talk. 😅
The boy with the fro seems a little intimidated and insecure. It's good he had the little moose there with him.
Great program. Thank you for putting the differences aside. I hope you will keep sharing your experiences with us because everyone has a LOT to learn with you 3!!!
I thought I knew JP, but I clearly didnt. Really enjoy his content but as a person, uh....i don't know now...
Already the winner as "Best Show of 2019". Great and informative with a guest with character.
This was fun to watch I hope you guys do it again ☺️
Full Frame Fro vs Sony Northrup ... ding ding ding round one
Lol
good to see Fro and T&C together in a show. I really enjoyed it. Thank you.
I have changed my mind about Olympus and Jered
Jared is Hilarious I never saw this side of him
Just sold all my M43 stuff (I have all PRO Olympus lenses)
Went out and bought NIKON Z6 and Z7 and will stay a NIKON shooter for a long time
thanks to Jered for his channel and thanks to tony and Chelsea for all they do
regards, Rick
Bonded by photography, no matter the differences... Enjoyed the show...nice to see you all in one show. 👏👏
Uuuuuuuuh! Spicy start! hahaha I'm thinking that this is a major event in the web-photo community!
I’m a concert/festival photographer & your comments about access and pit behavior are spot on.
Bummer.
Seems like they were hating hard on Jared. Not cool, I think Jared is a good guy. He just has a no bullshit sense of humor.
