    That thing about not locking over the shoulder is a very helpful tip.

    Damn, wish I could have watched this mid-roll... maybe I would've finished that triangle today... great vid series!

      They make it look so easy but when rolling it's a damn hard submission to get. haha. I find various arm locks much, much easier to achieve. It's because setting up for a triangle is just so obvious.

    Amazing video, but one thing, you say it doesn't matter if his second hand stays in the diamond, but then why is he always removing it ?

    great videos!! But you can finish the triangle without bringing his arm across the body. Rener Gracie covers a video on this

    Isn't it easy to your opponent to pull away when you lock the triangle without his sholder in? i appreciate the video a lot, thanks for posting keenan.

      you've got your hand on the back of his head at that point so it's not very easy to posture up. alternatively you can try grab your ankle before you release your other foot onto his hip, so that the guard is always closed.

    That's why it's important to have long legs

    I tried this today and it worked! My problem was my partner started stacking me and I couldn't finish triangle. What do I do if the guy starts stacking?

    • @nicolasholm6351
      @nicolasholm6351 7 лет назад +4

      Gary Baker when they are stacking you it's easy to pull armbar.

      There are a few options: 1. Frame and break posture so they cant stack you. 2. Switch to armbar. 3. (my favorite) Shoulder walk backwards. see here (watch?v=EoMCyZ7R9iI)

    To remove the other arm I started to hook my arm under the armpit & pull it forward as soon as I shoot my leg over. It pulls them to the floor & you end up right in the side triangle position

    Great info, but at 5:28 you say that your calves flex if you point your toes up. The calves actually flex when the toes are pointed down. Did you mean to say something else?

    • @fritzdagger
      @fritzdagger  5 лет назад +1

      Meteoroz your calf flexes both ways! It’s not about the strongest flex but to just help add a little extra mass into the hold to help keep the friction and lock

    • @Micah-kt2uw
      @Micah-kt2uw 4 года назад

      Meteoroz agreed, but dorsiflexion (the opposite of the ballerina style toe point) does stretch the calf, which would still make it firmer/harder, which I think is what he's going for
