I really like the side angle on the shots. I see them better and can actually see them flying also. This was a nightmare of a video to make. Thank you Ted. You're doing us all a huge service.
Exactly the video I’m asking for all over you tune and social media lol recently 22plinkster posted a video of a $5,000 set up that that Irs accurate but but not this accurate
you should do a video with minimal editing, fun facts (Thymine Dimers), your hilarious commentary, hitting paintballs, golf tees, beer cans and spinner targets at ungodly distances.. no work, just fun!
Thank you lord! I just so happen to have a Impact 700 mm STX in .25. I’ve been waiting for this because this shit is expensive and it’s going to save me time and money. Thank you Ted.
Dammit Ted! I thought this channel was supposed to be relaxed easy-edit vids for ya! The final product is outstanding and full of interesting info. Hope it was a fun vid to shoot!
Thanks for all the hard work Ted. From what I've seen, I'm very happy with my FX Boss. It can't hang with your .30 Impact, but I would put against any of the .25 cals you shot with no problems.
Thank you Ted for the work you put in this video, so much good content. Between you and Southern Gunner I learn so much. Oh and I can't forget Keith and Norm at 68 Whiskey, all you guys rock in the Airgun world. Thank you all. 👍
Thnx for testing. I have a Crown MK2 and shooting the KO MK2 at 885 FPS (700mm barrel) and works great a 100M. Your testet speeds works. Same goes for the Hades and king heavys. saves a lot of time and slugs/pellets. keep up the very good work.
I have a superior in my WC3 - and I can't believe how it performs, at 50 Yards hit has the reliable ability to let me choose exactly where to place ammo into my prey. I am getting a 600 Superior for my Dreamline .25 very soon and then testing like you to see how it gets on - the .25 Hybrids were a disaster in the STX 600mm
Awesome video and thanks for sharing. You got me into shooting pcp by watching your earlier videos and I got the original FX wildcat with the smooth twist barrel.
On a side note, I got about the same with the Heavy liner in .22. In contrast to what Matt D. stated that they absolutely had to be choked, I took a chance and removed the choke. The groups with my 34 gr slugs went from 2.50's-2.75"'s to well under an inch. So much for needing a heavy choke on the Superior "Heavy" Version! I would love to see some kind of test with slugs in the .30 bbl. As the .30 certainty seems to have an advantage in your gun. Thank You for the tremendous efforts Ted! KnifeMaker
Just to say thank you very much for having the patience and taking the time to film and edit this. Are there any more sparrow cocktails, shaken not stirred, in the making. Stay safe.
Thanks for putting in the work Ted! Man I see great groups with the Superior in my Crowns with Hybrids at 920ish.....The heavy liner is useless as far as I am concerned.....The 34 grain from the Superior for me at 890 is a laser. Just goes to show your mileage my vary!!!
Great video brother. Thanks for taking the time and sharing all the input. Really give us all something to think about. From New Mexico. Stay safe and stay blessed. 👍🇺🇸✌
Great job Ted. That must have been some job to do that. Thank you for making things clearer for us, you are an Awesome airgunner, that like to share what he finds, not too many other people will do that, therefore I take my hat 🎩 off to you my good friend.
Okay I know that video was a lot of work! Thanks! Is there any chance you can compare the Slug A to the superior Heavy with some different slugs. That would be wonderful. Have a Slug A in my 25 now Shooting NSA 36.2 out to 200 yards with good results and a Superior Heavy on order. Would like to see if I made a wise purchase and what I can expect. Stay safe and well in these scary times. Jim
Thanks Ted. Great 'real world' data. But the elephant in the room here, is that at least at 100 yards out, slugs are not outperforming pellets. I'd like to see this same test at both 150 and 200 yards, where slugs (in theory) should shine. Again, thanks for all the hard work.
So glad you are showing results at 100yds, pointless doing at shorter ranges as many others do. I have the Mk2 FX 2020 in .25 with the 700mm superior liner. Results are good with JSB Hades and H&N Grizzly, prefers these to King & King Heavy. It will need fine tuning to be really good with FX Hybrids but they are insanely consistent to +/- 2fps. I'm zeroing at 65yds however wonder if you would recommend the superior heavy liner for any reason & at what weight slug you would consider it worthwhile swapping to the heavy liner (if there is any point). Thanks in advance, Gordon
Hades don't work well in any of my guns because they make them 5,50mm, instead they should have selected the most sold size of the standard 15.89gr pellet which ought to be 5,52mm and which coincidentally works well in all my .22:s. Thanks for taking the time to do this comparison since it would be very hard for any of us regular Joes to gather all the hardware needed for the test. Big thumbs up!
Ted, this took a lot of effort. Perhaps upload it on your main non vlog channel to so others benefit from the results... You can't bake an exquisite chocolate cake and only reveal it to a few people... 😆🤣
Hey Ted, this is excellent content. Ted's Holdover was what got me hooked on HPA. I wish I would have clicked on this channel before tonight. I have been looking for basically this very video for weeks. Thanks for making it. Also, have you considered doing this same shoot test using some NSA slugs? Im curious how that would turn out.
Thanks Ted so much I'm still confused lol but good job and thank you Im supposed to have the superior pellet liner and superior slug liner I dont know anymore I just go off the twist rate pellet is 1:27 and slug liner is 1:21. ... I hope that is right ty bsafe
Awesome video Ted! I was assuming the knockouts would 34 gr. It’s a good balance for power and efficiency. I bet you can get them to group even better at faster speeds. Do you know what the final slug count is going be per tin? Thanks for your due diligence.
Wow, lots of work. I'm shooting an .25 M3 with a stock 600mm barrel and NSA 29.5 grain slugs. I want to shoot some heavier slugs, and was thinking of buying a FX slug tension barrel kit in 700mm. It says it comes with a superior heavy liner. Do you have any experience with this kit? Thanks for all your work.
Ted, if you only had two barrels, what would you choose? I may be able too get a couple more later. But buying all I need for a impact, cuts me short of cash. Thanks for the help, Clay Jensen
Awesome video Ted very interesting on each barrel where and how the pellets and slugs impact and FX hit the mark with the superior barrel I'm hoping to be able to get the new FX Wildcat mk3 either in 22 cal or 25 cal
the slug A liner is the same original slug liner that first came out correct? I never heard it call A liner till recently is why i'm asking. the superior line is not made to shoot a nsa type slugs just hybrid and pellets correct? thanks!!
Excellent job on the editing. You put so much work and time in the shooting and editing to bad you did not give a summary at the end. It's as if you just threw in the towel. Update; sorry did not see your follow-up video. Good job.
What exactly does seasoning the barrel achieve in this test? Is it more to do with settling in the new regulator/hammer setting after each change or does it have to do with different fouling patterns for different projectiles? Surprised with how much of a difference it made. Appreciate the work Ted!
Good video as always :) .The speed for the King Heavy is a bit slow at 280-285ms so great with the Standard Superior Liner. I hope the new JSB .25 slug will arrive soon as the hybrids do not go well and they are dirty and very very expensive. Regards
conclusion, the old ST 600mm with jsb still out perform all that has come out since slugs included. theres a lot of people have weasted a lot of cash. ill stick to my .30 with st .
Same here!!! fx just sucking up our (their!) money. Do you only shoot pellets? Since we can only choose between jsb's, normal and heavy's, (there is just NOTHING else, like the spoiled .22 where there is lots to choose from, and the .30 being out of stock all the time) i would like to try some nsa slugs to spread my options. I have not tried it nor have i changed anything of my impact so I figured I need the heavy liner.. but other than the hunting youtube commercial videos....when they don't show their 10.000 missing shots of course....with these results..... I think i'l stick with the standard stx 2020 liner for now :)
hello, i wanted to ask if you think the results with caliber 25 give the same results as caliber 22 with stx superior heavy. Thank you for answering me.
So getting my Impact 3 next week in 25. This video was just what I needed although I dont know what type of barrel comes with a stock gun. I do have big supply of JSB Diablo 34 grain pellets. Do you have a fps and setting for the stock barrel that would work best for that pellet ? Thanks again for the video. Awesome content
I really like the side angle on the shots. I see them better and can actually see them flying also. This was a nightmare of a video to make. Thank you Ted. You're doing us all a huge service.
That .30 is just insane!😳 You need to do a video with .22 Plinkster, your best airgun vs his best rimfire at 100:)
Yeah it is indeed. Especially considering the fact that he is using pellets! 🤯
Wow Matt.
Excellent idea.
This NEEDS to happen Ted!
You should emphasise a word THAT. Other FX .30 instances are not that accurate. The barrel was probably selected among tens.
Exactly the video I’m asking for all over you tune and social media lol recently 22plinkster posted a video of a $5,000 set up that that Irs accurate but but not this accurate
The video shatters my record.....for amount of editing. :)
Thanks Ted. People have no clue how time involved making a good viddy is. Thank you. Thank you, thank you.
you should do a video with minimal editing, fun facts (Thymine Dimers), your hilarious commentary, hitting paintballs, golf tees, beer cans and spinner targets at ungodly distances.. no work, just fun!
@@daveyreiss I would seriously watch that.
Hahaha. Thanks for the detailed video. Truly appreciate the amount of time you have put into it for US
It also shatters your record for you most rushed and confusing videos! Lol.
This is the Project Farm of the airgun world. Thank you Ted!
Thank you lord! I just so happen to have a Impact 700 mm STX in .25. I’ve been waiting for this because this shit is expensive and it’s going to save me time and money. Thank you Ted.
He is a saint, I'm tellin ya!
Awesome video Ted. It’s good to see some love towards the .25.
Thank you for taking the time. I just got my Impact .30 because of you :)
Great video Ted, thank you.
This potentially saves me a lot of time and money so very much appreciated 👍🏼
I'm just hilarious with slug A and superior... That was awesome data that you represented to us... Much thanks
That had to take so much time!!! Thank you!!
Love your words of inspiration on the lower right “range card”!!!
Assume nothing, test everything.
Why yes Ted. Let's do that. I LOVE DATA!
Dammit Ted! I thought this channel was supposed to be relaxed easy-edit vids for ya! The final product is outstanding and full of interesting info. Hope it was a fun vid to shoot!
Ladies and gentlemen the goat 🐐 is back , great video Ted I’m digging that superior barrel , once I refinance my home I’ll get me a FX Impact
Thanks for all the hard work Ted. From what I've seen, I'm very happy with my FX Boss. It can't hang with your .30 Impact, but I would put against any of the .25 cals you shot with no problems.
Did not get notified about this video until 27 October 2020. I am subscribed and I have all notifications checked. Love your videos!
My Wildcat mk3 .25 compact (superior STX) likes the Jsb kings also. More than the jsb heavy. Thank you soo much for this video!!
I have the Wildcat Compact Mk2. Mine is just the opposite. It likes the heavies in all 3 of my barrels.
I would like to say thank you ted for all you are doing on and off of the Airgun community keep up the hard work
Good video. Not only do you have impeccable taste in air guns but pick up trucks also.
That slug A barrel did amazingly well with the diabolo pellets....
Thanks for this video, really would like a wrap up for this video summarizing the different barrels pro's and cons.
Great video very engaging and I don't even own a fx just love to watch every video you post!
Great vid ted! Thanks for the time you put into the industry...
Thank you Ted for the work you put in this video, so much good content. Between you and Southern Gunner I learn so much. Oh and I can't forget Keith and Norm at 68 Whiskey, all you guys rock in the Airgun world. Thank you all. 👍

That’s a ton of work, thank you
What a work Ted!
I’m so glad you did this work! Thus is great information. I plan to apply some statistical analysis.
Thank you, Ted !
Like everyone stated thank you for all that testing.
Man, a lot of work Ted! Thank you so much for the info! Still the face of air gun world! Thank you!
Holy crap theres work gone in this Ted, we’ll done, not much use for my Wolverine, but your still the king.
Really! Great! Job! Needs the same test with .22 liners! Good luck.
So I agree with everything that you wrote at 0:36!
I love those retro Carl's Jr' glasses they gave out with a burger in the early 90s
Awesome video and thanks for sharing. You got me into shooting pcp by watching your earlier videos and I got the original FX wildcat with the smooth twist barrel.
Old tech ST barrel with kings and king heavies- perfect together.
Great test!
Thanks!
Ted you're the Man! The Ultimate AirGun Nerd! Thanks for this! Will save me some time and pellets/slugs!
Take care and stay safe and healthy!🙌👌🙏🏻👍
I wish you would have done an extensive test like this with the .22 options.
On a side note, I got about the same with the Heavy liner in .22. In contrast to what Matt D. stated that they absolutely had to be choked, I took a chance and removed the choke. Great video brother. Thanks for taking the time and sharing all the input. Really give us all something to think about. From New Mexico. Stay safe and stay blessed. 👍🇺🇸✌
Isn't the slug a liner developed around NSA slugs? Was hoping you were going to test those too. Nice video Ted.
I also would like to see the 25 cal NSAs in a few different weights.
hell ya new video!
Great job Ted. That must have been some job to do that. Thank you for making things clearer for us, you are an Awesome airgunner, that like to share what he finds, not too many other people will do that, therefore I take my hat 🎩 off to you my good friend.

Well done!!!! Great job. Thx.
Excellent work, I want to try the Hades after watching your testing/demonstration but in .22 calibre. Appreciate your hard work.
Okay I know that video was a lot of work! Thanks! Is there any chance you can compare the Slug A to the superior Heavy with some different slugs. That would be wonderful. What is the science behind "seasoning" the barrel when switching to a different pellet?
So glad you are showing results at 100yds, pointless doing at shorter ranges as many others do. I have the Mk2 FX 2020 in .25 with the 700mm superior liner. Just caught the Stuart Smalley reference. Back when SNL was funny. Was watching from a van down by the river!
Hades don't work well in any of my guns because they make them 5,50mm, instead they should have selected the most sold size of the standard 15.89gr pellet which ought to be 5,52mm and which coincidentally works well in all my .22:s. yes with my superior liner 34grain JSB sub MOA all day long.....
how about a summary so we know what to buy thnk you so much!
Ted, this took a lot of effort. Perhaps upload it on your main non vlog channel to so others benefit from the results...
You can't bake an exquisite chocolate cake and only reveal it to a few people... 😆🤣
Man, I love those FX, have just sold my Air Arms 510, I would like one but the FX guns here are over $3000.
I have the slug A and got the same results. The hybrids didn't do great but the NSA slugs were almost perfect.
Nice shorts Bubba!!
Try-out the jsb knock-out out .25 . I experianced them in my crown mk2 600mm heavy liter.
Hey Ted, this is excellent content. Ted's Holdover was what got me hooked on HPA. I wish I would have clicked on this channel before tonight. I have been looking for basically this very video for weeks. Thanks for making it.

So what barrel did the best most accurate
Awesome video Ted! I was assuming the knockouts would 34 gr. It’s a good balance for power and efficiency. I bet you can get them to group even better at faster speeds. Do you know what the final slug count is going be per tin? Thanks for your due diligence.
Awesome video 👏👏👏 😎
Slug barrel shooting pellets better than slugs? Way to go FX :)
They are lost in their findings. Too many options, too many changes and in the end they will return to ST barrels.
Wow, lots of work. I'm shooting an .25 M3 with a stock 600mm barrel and NSA 29.5 grain slugs. I want to shoot some heavier slugs, and was thinking of buying a FX slug tension barrel kit in 700mm. Fantastic day to upload the video. My mother met me on this day once upon a Time. 🤘🤙✌️💪🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🤘🤙🤣🔥
Great vehicle!
Thanks for your testing. I will grab your .30. Other combinations are way lass accurate. Maybe except for 2 or 3 combinations.
Very informative!
Awesome video Ted very interesting on each barrel where and how the pellets and slugs impact and FX hit the mark with the superior barrel I'm hoping to be able to get the new FX Wildcat mk3 either in 22 cal or 25 cal
Also what caliber would you purchase? And what pellets would you use for the 25 or the 30, and the slugs?
Thanks again, clay
Hello Ted. Are you sort or resize your pellets anymore?
Is the superior the same as the smooth twist X superior? I'm a bit confused about barrel names. Thanks. Great info bty.
Thank you ! I have been waiting for this . Slug liner a is a keeper. What silencer you used for the test ?
the slug A liner is the same original slug liner that first came out correct? I never heard it call A liner till recently is why i'm asking. the superior line is not made to shoot a nsa type slugs just hybrid and pellets correct? thanks!!
That’s my understanding mate
Superior Heavy is what you should use for standard slugs like Nielsen
The superior heavy dont group better than slugliner A in 700 with nsa 33.5 , 36.2 and 38.
In simple words. The older, the better. Ist gen stx A is king.
Excellent job on the editing. You put so much work and time in the shooting and editing to bad you did not give a summary at the end. It's as if you just threw in the towel.
Update; sorry did not see your follow-up video. Good job.
Hades in slug A was the best, right? I should watch again....
Are you going to superior liners in all your guns?
What exactly does seasoning the barrel achieve in this test? Is it more to do with settling in the new regulator/hammer setting after each change or does it have to do with different fouling patterns for different projectiles? Surprised with how much of a difference it made.

I hope the new JSB .25 slug will arrive soon as the hybrids do not go well and they are dirty and very very expensive.

So it’s official then - hybrids ain’t all that! 😔😆
Although it’s what I’m using sooo🤷♂️😆👍😎
Muito top irmão,parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho, forte abraço!!!
conclusion, the old ST 600mm with jsb still out perform all that has come out since slugs included. theres a lot of people have weasted a lot of cash. ill stick to my .30 with st .
Same here!!!
fx just sucking up our (their!) money.
Do you only shoot pellets?
Since we can only choose between jsb's, normal and heavy's, (there is just NOTHING else, like the spoiled .22 where there is lots to choose from, and the .30 being out of stock all the time) i would like to try some nsa slugs to spread my options.

what is a result , superior better than superior H with all.
thank you .
hello, i wanted to ask if you think the results with caliber 25 give the same results as caliber 22 with stx superior heavy.
Thanks for no reply
How does the new maverick compared to the impact would you buy one thanks
It that the inner liner vibrating in the barrel i hear?
Do you lube the pellets and slugs?
Even more so than a .22 rimfire, an air rifle must be very accurate to be useful!
