    Thomas F. Wilson (Biff) is a comedian in real life and is actually the nicest guy you can imagine. Biff was so outside of his normal character, that he had a hard time playing him. He apologized profusely to Lea Thompson (Lorraine) for "manhandling" and being so crude to her. There are plenty of interviews with Thomas and Lea where they touch on that.

      I liked when Amber wondered if the Max Headroom version of Ronald Reagan in the 2015 diner was Marty's dad, lol. It's funny how faces that are iconic to one generation are "just some rando" to later generations. I spent a couple of years as an assistant in a high school History class and, to the kids, so many rich, famous, and/or powerful people from the past are just "some old white guy." And, in one class, before we started the chapters on WWII, they only knew Hitler as "the guy with the funny moustache."
      Moments like that always remind me of the poem, "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley. "Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

    Trivia:
    Actor Crispin Glover (George McFly) didn't want to be in this sequel because he hated the script; but then he sued Universal and Amblin Studios for violating his publicity rights, because they used a look-alike actor (Jeffrey Weissman) to play him in the 2015 scenes, and a few of the 1985 reshot scenes. They put prosthetics on his face, taken from molds cast of Glover's face during the first film, to make Weissman look more like Crispin Glover's George McFly character. Glover couldn't do anything about the stock footage images they had already shot from the first film, but he charged that the filmmakers had no right to fabricate his image in newly shot scenes in this sequel without his permission, and of course without paying him. I believe Glover and his attorney settled with the studios for a sum of around $760,000.

    1:29 This is not “a Spielberg movie,” as such. He was executive producer, yes, and his company Amblin’ Entertainment was the production company, and Steven himself was certainly involved in the creation of the film series, but all three of these films are Robert Zemeckis films. Bob Zemeckis and Bob Gale were the two men most directly responsible for these movies. They were the ones who thought it up and brought it to Spielberg after shopping it all around Hollywood and getting turned down. Spielberg was certainly fundamental in making sure it got made, but it wasn’t his thing from the get-go. He had worked with Zemeckis and Gale previously so he knew them and was friends with both men, but please, give credit where it’s due: Robert Zemeckis, the director and co-writer, and Bob Gale, the writer. This is their film series.

    There's quite a dark realisation if you analyse the rooftop scene - Doc Brown had no way of knowing they'd be there, the only way he would have known is if Marty had actually been killed either by Biff shooting him or if he'd jumped, the Doc finding out about it and then travelling back in time to be there to rescue him o_O

    The reason Biff was suffering in pain after time traveling is because of a deleted scene. When Biff went back in time and changed the future, he didnt live into 2015. Lorraine found out it was Biff who shot George and she got his gun and shot him in 1995. So hes feeling the gunshot wound from 20 years ago. He was supposed to fall and disappear in mid air, but test audiences thought the scene was too dark for this film.

    • @Cheepchipsable
      @Cheepchipsable Год назад +2

      They messed up their own internal logic.
      Old Biff should not have been able to return to "his" 2015 after giving himself the book, as he would have been stuck in the same situation Doc explained to Marty when they returned to rich Biff's 1985.
      Also news headlines and the matchbook cover changed pretty much instantaneously after the almanac was destroyed, yet Marty was able to run around for a week in the original movie.
      Even the deleted scene had Biff vanishing shortly after returning.
      I find it ironic test audiences though Biff vanishing was too dark, but sexual assault in the first movie was ok...

    As I'm sure others will say Parts two and three were filmed consecutively. They didn't originally plan to make sequels, the "to be continued" in the first film was meant as a joke.
    The films were released 6 months apart so that's why you get a teaser trailer at the end of this movie, which gets you excited for the next one.
    I'm really glad that you guys watched it since a lot of people recommend not to watch it cuz they think it's spoiler. If you had gone to see part two in the theater you would have seen the trailer just like that at the end of the movie so how is it a spoiler. It just shows them in the West.

    Appreciate your reactions to this great movie and amazing trilogy! Amber mentioned at one point when Biff was being all cringe and creepy to Lorraine in the street, talking about her becoming his wife one day, she mentioned that she should get a restraining order... Props to Thomas Wilson for giving us "Biff". Being a stand-up comedian and also having been bullied at school, he was able to create a character who was both despicable as well as being a buffoon. The original line for Biff was "make like a tree and leave", but Thomas said no way would a guy like Biff be that smart, so he improvised "make like a tree and get out of here" which stuck. Butthead was also his improv, as well as calling George "Irish Bug".
    Thomas also performs a hilarious song he wrote called "The Question Song" after he got tired of people asking him the same questions over and over.
