“No ticket” is my favorite line in the film, no matter how many times I watch it, I still start laughing!
This is my fav Indiana Jones film by far.
Excellent. This one really is so much fun. Very impressive that you were so quick to not trust Elsa.
"No ticket!" 😄
It's worth mentioning that Alison Doody, who played Elsa, was only 22 years old. She did a great job portraying a character beyond her years. This was not her first movie starring opposite a James Bond. Her first film (when she was 17) was A View to a Kill.
And not to forget the immortal Taffin, opposite Pierce Brosnan. A Bond collector she was.
the perfect ending of them riding into the sunset! now onto something else.......... 😜
River Phoenix would impersonate Harrison when they were on the set of The Mosquito Coast and Harrison told Spielberg that the actor that looked the most like him at that age was River. River nailed Young Indy. And love that Indy took his own "nickname" from the family dog, just like the "real" Indiana was Lucas' malamute, also called Indiana. So Henry Jones, Jr. WAS named after the dog! Yes, this was 1938. Raiders was set in 1936 and Temple was in 1935. As to where Marion is/was... watch the next one, Crystal Skull (which I love).
I like KOTCS too. And definitely! River Phoenix as the young Indy is my favorite part of this film.
Crystal Skull is a bona fide stinker of a movie.
@@stobe187You have no idea what a bona fide stinker is until you’ve watched Dial of Destiny, the Star Wars sequels, and the Jurassic World movies.
@@anthonyvasquezactor And I have. Listing other bad films does not make Crystal Skull any better :D
@@stobe187Oh, it really does.
A fun fact, it´s when young Indy uses the whip and gets a scar himself in the chin. Harrison Ford, in real life, has a scar in the same place, but in his case was due to a car crash when he was young. Another fun fact it´s that Sean Connery and Harrison Ford (who played the roles as father and son), have only twelve years of difference between them. Sean had 59 here and Harrison 47 (but Sean looks more older than him).
10:47 "Can we trust the girl?"
Ah. Aria, the fact that you asked that, _this_ early on, I find _very_ encouraging.
There will never be a character like Indiana Jones. A archeologist with a wild side. I hope they never do a remake. No one but Harrison Ford can play him!
Hollywood respecting the legacy of a legendary character by not doing a remake? That's funny.
@@stobe187 I hear you on that!
I really don't want to nitpick here, but Indy was based on the heroes in Republic-style serials of the 30s. GL, SS ,and HF certainly added their own touches, of course, but Indy is not a one-of-a-kind character.
Sean Connery was the ONLY choice for Spielberg and Lucas to play Indy's father. They thought who better to play Indy's dad than the original James Bond. You ought to watch the classic Bond films, in theatrical release order. At least the Sean Connery and Roger Moore eras. They have the most fun movies of the franchise.
Agreed, post Roger Moore they tried to make the franchise more "grounded in realism" which stripped it of it's charm.
For another fun Sean Connery film she should watch Zardoz!
Just kidding.
But seriously.
I mean. If she starts the Bond journey, I hope she finishes it.
@@grendeltech At least to Pierce Brosnan. Daniel Craig's run was a disappointment. Even Craig thought it made his Bond too dour.
@@dan_hitchman007 I'm in the minority, but I really liked Dalton's movies a lot.
@@grendeltech They had their moments, but they started becoming more influenced by Die Hard and Lethal Weapon of the era than feeling like Bond films.
"If you are a Scottish lord, then I am Mickey Mouse!" Aria has a good laugh as Minnie Mouse is seated right alongside her on the couch.
“How dare he?” *Thwack!*
"Son, I'm afraid they got us." I can't decide between 1 and 3 being by favorite. Great reaction. Thanks.
First :) ... i like Part 3 the most. Thank U very much Aria 🥰
Aria belongs in a museum . . . of intelligence and beauty!
I could watch you laugh all day 😂
I love watching your reactions. Your laughter at all the funny bits make it so much fun.
Right at the start I love your attitude that you'd still watch the other movies. These were very entertaining movies and I'm glad you liked them.
"He's not gonna experiment on his dad ..."
XD
When this came out, I accepted it as the end of the series, the end of a trilogy. Not quite getting the double entendre of the title, back then, I thought "last crusade" meant the last of these films. It was a satisfying end, with the "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" TV show about three years later being interesting at times.
Hi Aria. Glad to have you back. Don't let people discourage you from watching "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" - I've actually always enjoyed it as just another fun Indy rop in spite of its faults. "Dial of Destiny", however, was far beyond bad. I do recommend seeing that as well just for the sake of curiosity so you won't have to spend your life wondering.
There are soooooooooo many good to excellent movies to choose from throughout cinematic history. Why waste two hours or so of your life on simply "okay" or even "mediocre" films?
@@dan_hitchman007I'll put this as politely as I can: My ability to give a rat's ass about your opinion about what movies are a waste of time or not is completely nonexistent.
Crystal Skull has a good amount of flaws, but its still a good adventure movie. I like it, admittedly for the fact that it takes place in the South American rainforest - ROTLA started that way, and I had always wanted an Indy movie to take place there for most of the film's runtime.
I'm going to piggyback in the OP's comment, and add that she should watch Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow. It's based on the same adventure serials from the 30s that the GL / SS Indy films were, although sadly it never got much acclaim.
@@anthonyvasquezactor Crystal skulls is a waste of time, Dial of destiny is a slap in the face to theater goers around the world. A great example of modern Hollywood hubris and lack of talent from producer down to the guy pushing the broom at the end of the wrap party. No one ever spends their life wondering what a cockroach tastes like or how bleach feels in their eyes. Watching Dial of destiny is bad advice that is not worth a rat's ass.
@@bluebird3281I like Crystal Skull and I recommended what I did. Your approval is not required.
it is SO MUCH FUN to watch you LAUGH! (in all the right places, no less! 🤣😅😂) GREAT REACTION! 👍😊
Aria has the best giggle 🔥🔥
29:54 You've got to love how Indy's whole demeanor is basically along the lines of, "What's everyone looking at? Are we just taking in the view? I mean, it _is_ a rather nice view. Is that it?"
The penitent man kneels *and* TUMBLES before god.
Elsa... Let it go.
When George Lucas was a boy, he had a dog named Indiana.
Sean Connery was only 14 years older than Harrison Ford.
You can see more of Marcus Brody (Denholm Elliott) doing comedy in "Trading Places."
This is just a theory. Marians dad that trained Indiana Jones, was the same one that hands Indiana Jones the hat at the begining of the this movie. Just a thought .
That was actually the original plan, but they scrapped it, so he just became a treasure hunting man of mystery (and of good taste in hats) named Garth. I wish they had stuck to the original idea. It would have been such a cool connection.
@@0okamino and that's why we would have known why the hat meant so much. It was Marians dad's hat.
Indeed - the third and FIIIIINAL!!!!!!!!!!! Indiana Jones movie. LOL also the best one! Harrison Ford made this movie great! Sean Connery made this movie a treasure!
19:05 Inga: "Put ze candle _beck!"_
This whole movie reads like an Arthurian fairy tale. The brave knight (Indiana Jones) finds a hidden map in a tomb (the tomb of Sir Richard), infiltrates a castle (Castle Brünwald), takes part in a joust (the motorcycle chase), defeats a fire-breathing dragon (the tank), and discovers the treasured relic (the Holy Grail).
The tank is a mock-up of a Mark VIII "International" (named for being produced in the US, UK, and France) landship tank with the turret of a Cromwell III mounted on it. The 1/2 scale model used during the canyon drop and Col. Voegel's death scene is on display outside the Indian Jones Stunt Spectacular in Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Florida.
I always dound it funny that the model of gun Donovan shoots Henry Sr. with is the same one Sean Connery used as James Bond (Walther PPK).
I'd watch your reactions to the next 2 movies. They aren't the best movies but have some good moments and give Indy a good ending
9:37 "She did _not_ hesitate."
No. And she is _not_ dressed for field work.
Dr. Jones, Dr. Jones, wake up now
At least for the first three classic Indiana Jones films, you have to kind of think of them as completely stand alone stories. They were inspired by old adventure serial short subject films from the 1940's and those stories rarely connected together.
We'd watch you watching paint dry so go ahead and react to the other movies as well. They still have some interesting stuff in them.
Awesome Reaction......
Sean Connery Plays this role Superbly...... In real life Sean was only about 12 Years older than Harrison....
"Indiana" was the name of George Lucas's Alaskan Malamute Dog, which was also the inspiration for Chewbacca in Star Wars.
The "Crusades" were the the wars/campaigns during the Middle ages to free Jerusalem from the Muslin's....
I like the 4th one "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.... Some People don't like cause of the topic, and some low-quality CGI......
I have not seen "Dial of Desiny"..... Yet.....
9:37 that's what she said
AWESOME REACTION OF MY FAVORITE INDIANA JONES MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😇😇😇😇😇
Great reaction my favorite 🔥🔥💯💯🔥
30:56 He really says: dont move this is a robbery
Arianda Jones and The Last Crusade. LOL!
4:45 And that's how he got his hat.
One does not simply walk into Berlin 1936
True. You have to dress for the occasion.
@@0okamino No he doesnt have valid PAPIERE !!!
5:56 "Why is she looking at him like that?"
Well, I mean, why do you think Indy has so many _female_ classmates, Aria?
Just started watching. This is gonna be a ride 😃
👍
22:27 What a German attitude.
22:36 What a German reaction.
Not true, the tickets would be ready to show, the first time they saw the ticket inspector
Elsa, all she needed to do was… Let It Gooooooooo!!!
Conceal, don’t feel
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello Aria
31:48 I don't understand why Indy suddenly felt compelled to _disable_ this trap once he was _past_ it. He just demonstrated that he knew how to beat it. He had _no_ reason to share that knowledge with anyone else. Leave the trap on.
33:09 This was unnecessary, too. Indy knows how to get to the cave. There is no reason for him to show everyone _else_ how to get there.
What would be your plan? Hide in the cave with the knight and wait until your dad dies?
If I was crossing a bridge I couldn't see, I'd be concerned that there might be steps ahead, or a slope, or some other obstacle that might cause me to fall off. Throwing the sand was for his own safety.
Bravo.
15:18 "I should've _mailed_ it to the _Marx_ brothers."
🤔That would've made this a different kind of movie. I think I still would've watched, though.
Specifically, to Harpo. That’s a guy you could depend on not to tell anyone about the diary’s secrets.
hi aria , have you ever thought about making a patreon account and do full movie reactions ?
I wish reactors would not put so much credence into opinions of those that are a vocal minority regarding films. Just watch it and see if you like it. Anyways as always great fun reaction Aria❤
Do you do requests?
Even though Sean Connery and Harrison Ford play father and son, the actors are only 11 years apart in age.
The next movie, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull isn't nearly as bad as the haters say, even if it does costar Shia LaBeouf. You should watch it. I haven't seen the last film, so I can't offer any kind of opinion on it.
4 is okay. My real complaint is one actor spends the movie just screaming, the way he does in robot movies. Like this one, it ends Indy in a good place.
5 is problematic. I suspect it was intended to introduce the next Indy Jones for futuew Indy 2 Jones movies. The problem is the proto-Indy character is a real piece of m*rd*.
Check out the movie The Goonies(1985).
I am also one of those who dislike the fourth Indiana movie. If you are looking out for other great adventure movies: "Young Sherlock Holmes" (1985) and "The Ninth Gate" (1999). Thanks for the entertaining.
There are ONLY three Indiana Jones movies.
I’m not a huge fan of the 2nd one. This one and Raiders I love though.
My favorite of the Indy films. Up next, Crystal Skull!
I think you're joking. Aria... I think he's joking.
@@dan_hitchman007 I'm not. I want her to see both that and Dial of Destiny.
@@NoOneStopsTheNate Okay, but I see you are a glutton for punishment.
why? they are awful 🥴
@@nicksneddon2396 nowadays, Crystal Skull isn't and Dial of Destiny wasn't at all bad. Just let her watch them.
Then onto Indiana Jone and the WTF IS THIS?!!?!?!
They're R*ping him!!!!!
You will like the last Indian Jones movie, as much as these first three. It very much follows in the footsteps of the first 3.
There were a lot of hatred and false rumors going around the release of the last and it was in no way deserved.
And these haters won't change their mind. Heck, half of tgem never saw the movie in the first place!
Unlike most people, I actually grew up with these movies.
This isn't Disney and Elsa couldn't Let It Go :/
This is the time to watch Dune if you want more traffic to your channel
I did watch part 2 recently, trying to edit it fast😂
Just to be clear , the people that are saying don’t watch the other two movies do NOT speak for everyone. It’s your choice to watch them or not and decide for yourself what you like.
People saying don't watch the other movies are doing it out of kindness, to save this girl the disappointment. Seriously, look at her! Look how happy she is, how much she loves Indiana Jones! Who could be heartless enough to let her watch those without at least fair warning. Friends don't do that.
I think the 4th movie is still watchable. Not the quality level of the original trilogy, and I was disappointed when it came out, but with a little distance, I would say, it still has it's moments and some nice callbacks to the first 3 movies.
I didn't care to watch No. 5, since all the reviews I read and watched, and the scenes I saw in trailers and snippets gave me the conclusion I would hate it 99,9%.
The 5th one is really good and doesn't deserve all the overly publicised hate it got upon release.
We all have to check these things out for ourselves, don't we?
The 4th is the weakest one, number 5 has the magic, again. 😊
Yes, the 5th one is great
You gotta complete the pentalogy! Well the last two aren't the best they're fairly standard adventure stories. Science versus supernatural. I think people get overhyped and possessive over these movies.
Aria, please stop this franchise on a high note and let Indy ride off into the sunset. The last two films only get much, much, much worse from here. You could literally say they... nuke the fridge. Another way of saying "they jump the shark" and "go past their sell-by date."
😅😅
The fourth movie isn't a bad movie per,sae it is a disappointment as a Indiana Jones movie. However in its defense it has some great scenes. Please do a reaction to it. You bring joy to a old mans heart watching good films from my youth. GOD BLESS ALL HERE!!!!
They tried to copy the first one as much as they could.
Repeated sequences, repeated scenes, repeated motifs all over the place.
Acting wise not the best job either from most of the cast.
Sean Connery was the only breath of fresh air.
The trilogy is the best after that it all go to $hit with Indiana Jones movies especially the 5th woke bs kinda movie
Your videos make me so happy!
Thank you!
