I seen drifting once in real life so far and from the deafening sounds to the beautiful smell of the smoke to the perfect transitions, it was fucking amazing to watch.

I’ve never seen anyone drift on cement... Only snow and dirt around here haha (northern Vermont) Ryan Tuereck came and drifted a mountain near us once but I didn’t even know until after it happened.

***** they definitely don't mix, but in some places you have to drive in it no matter what lol. So I bomb my subaru down backroads, on the lakes, in town just drifting it all. In the future i want a summer only drift car like a 240sx or an e36.

+dreamgetter13 or if you're like me purchase asetto corsa, a wheel with manual transmission and a pedal set, a nissan 370z mod it to like 400 hp and let er rip, drifting at the comfort of your own house with no one to tell you what to do, and last i checked i was doing exactly the same movements as this guy with wheel forceback adjustment at 70% hmmm drifting in a game never felt this good, and with technology getting better each you can bet that before 2020 there will be *THE* perfect physics game to actually drift in, forza 6 is a fine example but my complain is tires get heated up too much and you loose traction in the game while in real life you probably would not know the difference as shown in this video tries physics stay the same while drifting in the game heat= more slidyness it was like i was in an ice rink

+schramm112 Exactly. The reverse could be anywhere of 3 positions. Where the 6th gear would be. Or Next to 1st or 2nd gear.

Also, when you meant, the don't need reverse, you mean he will just do a burn out to turn around and drive off without making a multi-point turn?

if you have need for speed 2015 and put your car on manuel and have no drift assistance, its pretty good. you learn when to give it gas and when to hand brake and to break

he is not even using the hand break, i thought drifting could only be done by pulling the hand break, well i guess i have a long way ahead of me
+nikolas fandoul Just need enough power to make the back come out, if you dont have that much you'll have to pop the hand break to lose traction. Depends on the setup really.

+nikolas fandoul The drift bible explains 6 (more or less?) ways to initiate a drift. To maintain the drift you must do with power and steering application. Low power cars usually don't require power modulation, just steering input.
With high power car you have to come off and on(full throttle) just like the steering wheel(let go and grab).
+nikolas fandoul 2nd gear go about 96km/h (depends on corner really) just go 60% gas and put the clutch in and then back out you should be spinning in which you should turn your wheels the opposite the direction of the corner or you will find yourself very close to a fiery pit of death as i almost did in a lovely nissan 350z then when you feel like the car is stable in the drift (meaning it holds it quite nicely) get prepared to turn that ass cheek the other way because once you done the corner it will automatically turn itself very quickly to the other side so you must correct that but the catch is the wheel will only need to be turned a little bit pass the middle mark (stationary straight line) and then congrats you made it all while keeping 90%-100% of throttle as needed

On another Fifth Gear episode, they were drifting a front wheel drive with an auto transmisson. Its easy drifting at low speeds with my moms car. I wanna pimp out my Chevy s10 rear wheel drive.. its awesome for a truck. We went up a crazy drive way from the guy who owned before.

当车子进入-定速度时，离心力就会上升轮胎的咬地力也相对减弱，然后轮胎磨擦受损减轻所以白烟也轻少。当然要让4WD四轮驱动车辆进行四轮平行漂移没有-定的高速度只是靠手刹车器是跟本行不通的。

Drifting may be flashy but it's not the fastest way to get around the track, so it's not racing, it's just a contest of your ability to destroy tires rapidly and with control.
Why they don't use the handbrake?
No need to unless it's a sharp corner and they need to lock opposite way fast if not just lil brake and slide it into the other corner
Cuz the power of the car when u put the gae in the floor doesnt need handbrake it automatically drifts but if you have a car with front wheel drivin or idk how to say , u have to do with the handbrake

I'm looking to get the Mazda RX-7 Veilside, the car that Han drives in Tokyo Drift. Hoping that it can drift stock, don't wanna pay another 10k for a new engine or turbo considering the bodykit is 15k by itself.
Sorry to break it to ya but if your worried about body kits more than handling and a good lsd , dont get in to drifting. Your body kit will not help you drift.

Not trying to put you down, but focus more on the performance of the car, Learn how it works on the track, then start going for looks, cause if you don't your gonna look foolish on the track, AKA a ricer
The car Han drives is a 1998 rx -7 with a Veilside fortune body kit. The car is going to cost you $5-12k and the kit is gonna cost you $15k plus if you wreck it while drifting the insurance isn't going to pay for a new kit. P.s it comes from Japan and the kit is easily breakable also very overpriced! If you want to get into drifting start with a Nissan 350z track coupe. Stock its good to drift in. Also don't get me started on the veilside kit D.K has!😁
