best way to clean your system is to drain everything out then fill the system with only distilled water then run the car and heater on highest temp drive it until the temp goes to half way on your your dash then drain it again you'll see a difference i wouldn't use water from the hose it causes corrosion

@LightandShadowVA There's water in your anti-freeze. It's a 50-50 based solution. There will be no rust building up in your engine block

@1killerminpin I had a catch tank on the bottom before I started recording I removed it I wasn't planning on making the video. but decided to at the last minute forgetting about the catch tank on the bottom. It was just a little antifreeze that Fail on the floor. That's on the video.

what were the steps you took to get to that point? what did you take off? did you use something with the water to flush the engine and radiator? will that help with the flow?

@LightandShadowVA As you can see in the video my car looks like it has Rust Inside the engine block. It's a chemical that The previous owner put into the radiator to stop leak it's called stop leak That caused the inside of my engine to look rusty and caused a lot of problems that's why I'm making these videos

Any idea exactly how much fluid ends up staying in the engine after a flush? Maybe I'm just worrying too much but I figure if you put in a 50/50 mix, you could start by putting as much pure (not mixed) antifreeze as you have water in the engine, then fill with 50/50. I live in CT and want to make sure there isn't too much water in the mix that could let it freeze. Good video. Also, seeing crust and grit in the expansion tank. The car was sitting for a couple years. Was thinking a good flush and then maybe another good flush in a few months after whatever else is in there has broken free. Is that normal?

I always enjoy your vids and find them useful but I've got beef with this one. All that antifreeze is just dumping on the pavement, you're not using a collection tank. Anti freeze attracts dogs because of its sweet smell and taste yet it's poisonous to them, even the smallest amount is deadly!

Of course, any car manufacturer will only recommend their products, but the green coolant is also good. Also, the color is not a good indicator of the type of coolant. My e39 has been running Prestone 50/50 which says it's safe for all makes and models and can be mixed with any color, not one issue.
