  • Removing the radiator and fan out of my BMW 528i. Simple job with some odd troubles arising. Not the greatest video, but better than nothing when working on your own vehicles.
    Steps:
1)Remove clips that hold top most section of shroud from radiator w/ flat head or removal tool
    2) Unscrew fastener holding expansion tank to shroud
3:A) Using fan removal tool from video and 32mm wrench (or adjustable like me) remove fan
    or
3:B) Lift shroud from top of radiator to remove small hose and pull expansion tank with hose from shroud.
(Both need to be done, but depending on your freedom of movement one may seem easier for your situation to do first)
    4) Remove fan and shroud by lifting straight upwards
    5) Remove hose from bottom left of radiator to drain coolant
    6) Remove 8mm bolts from top of radiator
    7) Remove hose from waterpump to top corner of radiator (not on radiator but removing will make the radiator a ton easier to get out)
    8) By twisting the radiator left side forward and lifting at an angle, it should be easiest. (Two hoses on right side hit the hooks and the bottom radiator hose hits slightly)
    Thanks for watching!

A man thanks for nothing. You didn't show us how to remove the damn radiator. No i didn't enjoy a waste of 3 minutes after speeding past to get to the point and there wasn't. Smh.
