Thank you so much dude, using your whole series right now to get my E36 M back on the road. Thermostat stuck closed... hope I didn't do any worse damage to my head

Kevin hopefully not, I've overheated quite a few but I turn the motor off 5 seconds after or asap to avoid cracking the head

This particular Bimmer I've overheated several times, but luckily no head damage. Check out my new blog sometime if you get the chance and let me know what you think! bimmercraze.com

Perfect vid for what I have going on. Appreciate you posting. Already did the water pump & thermostat, now the damn radiator sprung a leak.

the one 8mm at the bottom of the trans cooler in between the hoses was an absolute pain in my ass. I apreciate the explanations though. helped alot. I ended up getting a mini ratcheting 8mm flat wrench and sat there for 15 minutes unscrewing it 1/16 of a turn at a time.

I got that out, but the whole hose assembly still wants to come out with the radiator, anyone ????

@@JulianBetancourt-g1b make sure you took out all 4 of the screws and clips that secure the trans cooler and seperate them before you pull the rad out

Thank you. My Bentley 1996-1998 BMW Z3 Service Manual did not give good instructions for removing the radiator retaining clips. Without your video it is likely I would have broke the dam things. Once I knew where to insert the screw driver and pry it was a snap. This is not a good manual but better than nothing, I guess.

Glad it helped, I'm not a big fan of the Bentley manuals either, but at least they can give a sense of direction for a lot of things.

Thanks for the video. I have a bad water pump on my '95 325iS. I want to flush out the system and run Blue Devil engine flush through the system. Will this affect the new water pump if I flush after replacing the water pump? I am keeping old thermostat till I run the flush and put new thermostat in after.

What is that sensor on the side of the radiator? Around 10:00.
I'm trying to stop a slow coolant leak on my new radiator but I can't seem to find any information on that sensor, I'm either trying to get rid of it and put in a plug that fits or replace it

My coupe is a 96' and my radiator is wanting to take a shit on me haha. Someone cut me off while I was behind him on purpose and it dented the face on the left of the grill. Caused my radiator to get even more upset with me and I had to find the crack immediately and put JB weld on it. Wich has held up since but what a fucking inconvienece because after he cut me off he took off down the road after I pulled over to take his insurance. I was gonna chase him but I was more worried about my car blowing up because I had no idea what the damage was. Thanks for the videos though. Makes it easier on me

I just realized how much stuff is missing in this video hopefully you guys don't come across what I come across. You have to disconnect stuff at the bottom of the radiator. his radiator didn't have anything connected at the bottom. There's all kinds of connectors that he didn't have to take out that you will

I doubt your gone response but if you do I took my car to a mechanic so they would switch the radiator n I got my car back but my coolant is like a gel type not liquid what do I do to fix this
