Its a total nightmare when your just walking at night and then suddenly you hear this from far away, You realize the sound is getting louder and louder and its coming straight towards you. WITH THIS SOUND
I don't think so, gearbox whine is so loud in the cockpit bc as a racecar is empty and the echo effect is massive inside, but outside you can barely hear the whine unless you are very close to the car, you mainly can just hear the engine from outside
I never realized just how fast this car actually was along with the driver until I saw them pass everyone else like they were standing still and going on a Sunday cruise
I didnt have great top speed even tho it could reach 320 but what it did have is probablly the best handling and acceleration in the le mans at the time, thats why you see it having got tier handling in nfs because this beast was like that irl
@@BevalidinCambodiathe M3 GTR didn’t have good handeling. Compared to the Porsches it primarily raced it was a boat, it had incredible acceleration and straight line speed due to the 4.0L V8. But that V8 made the handeling worse. The BMW (E46) M3 GT2 had way better handeling because it had the 3.0L I6. Which was lighter and didn’t cause as much understeer. You can also see this with the BMW M6 GT3 (V8) and the BMW M4 GT3 (I6) concept wise they’re the same car. But because the M4 uses a lighter I6 it’s handeling is better. BMW switched to the P60B40 engine to basically be the polar opposite of the Porsches. Fast down the straights, slow through the corners. Because it’s easier to keep a fast car behind in the corners. Than to keep a fast car behind you on the straights. (The M3 E46 GT2 was slower than the Porsches on the straights)
@@hersencell6880 well clearly you did your math right because i didnt know that, i've always thought it had good handling in real life becuase of its weight i was fooled because of how perfect it handled in most wanted but yeah arcade games likes to do that with a lot of cars, but recently tho i've played asseto corsa and i get what youre saying now the bmw m3 gt2 does have a much better handling than the gtr and the acceleration part is also facts as well the gtr is a rocket compared to other cars of her class/year

There's something that brings a tear to my eye about the sound of this absolute powerhouse of a vehicle just SCREAMING through the straights in the middle of the night, hunting down the Vipers and Astons ahead of it, and seeing them just roll right by. This thing wasn't a German car - this is a thoroughbred American stallion with a Bavarian accent. I say that with the greatest amount of respect and adoration for the M3 GTR. Truly, I don't think we'll ever get a demon like this again. Salutes to a one-in-a-generation vehicle.
