10 million people came to watch this helluva masterpiece of a game. Need For Speed in the 2000s was great. Lots of great titles. NFS Hot Pursuit 2, Underground 1 & 2, Most Wanted, Carbon, ProStreet. Blackbox really did a great job with these titles.
There will never be a NFS game that makes adrenaline rush through your vains giving you that exhilarating, heart pounding, thrilling sensation from demon speed that makes you almost feel the freezing wind blowing in your face cutting you like tiny little razors and the world around you turning into a staggering mix of blue, grey, yellowish vortex chased by your red tail lights beem cutting through it, and that satisfying, overwhelming feeling that you get whether you're winning a race, escaping cops, or destroying cop vehicles and property in an act of revenge to their cop-music and sirens howling in the background like this game gave you. Ever.
Man, the nostalgia is real. I played this game through probably 15 times...never gets old. 10/10 would play the shit out of its remaster...if we ever get one.
I just want to say thank you so much for this intense well played gameplay. It was like watching a movie, I almost cried. This game is invaluable. My favorite need for speed in the entire franchise. Been playing this on the PS2 (even till this day) since the day it released. I love this game so much. I hope EA and Criterion look at this game as a guide for their next one. Like seriously.
I had it on ps2 years ago but never finished because my power switch had broken. Picked up a psp go last year and downloaded the psp version. Wasn't quite the same since the psp version didn't have free roam and the customizations weren't the same as the console version. Picked up a copy for my xbox 360 after that. Still haven't beat the game yet lol. This is my favorite racing game of all time and I haven't even beaten it.
When you're chased by the police it puts you under real stress to get away and you don't know how long the pursuit will last , what makes this a great game is that you feel real pressure and stress while being chased and relief when you finally get away .
I used to play this game back in 2008-2009 when I was in college. This is one of the best game I ever played. Still love this and feels like I was playing it yesterday.
Sometimes, cutscene will screw you up, even when donut is damaged. I remember while cut scene of donut falling done, the car went straight into spike even in cutscene. Then what happens, car got punctured. Now, I always use slow mo even in destroying objects
Even later games can't capture the feeling like we did in this game. The balance of gameplay done right, the story which enough cheese and cringe, the car which stole everyone heart and motivated you to play the game. This is the best Need For Speed. Along with Underground 2, Underground 1, and Carbon! I hope they remaster or remake this game.
@@UNSCPILOT possibly lol but idc. I play games all the time with micro transactions. You don't have to partake in it if you don't want lol. I never buy a thing and still have a good time.

I had it on PS2. Hours and hours of pure happiness. No other NFS, even nowadays, is above this one. ( Just my humble opinion here. 😊)
Try Rivals. Shit looks like a super intense version of MW 2005 and Hot Pursuit. RCPD's cops surpassed Rockport's, due to their deadly weapons and their car of choice.

3:22 Ahhh, that rush you got when you thought you were done for, but then got out of it. Great memories. And that timed finishing thing was the best. 3:59 what a great move, such a smooth drive through.
And this is the reason why i used to love Need for Speed. The thrill the tensity of the gameplay with all the cops chasing you. This game was best played on the Xbox 360 back then.
Absolutely loved this game. I really wish we would get a new NFS game with the ability to destroy things like this, it is almost like a collaboration with burnout.
When this mission started I didn't know what to do for the first time . Then I asked my friends for the route for the broken bridge. I memorized the route and followed it. It was fun. Good old memories
Carbon could've been better in a lot of regards. It has a lot less content (I bet you can play through the entire game in half the time it takes to play Most Wanted). The music is fine but has a lot less gems (My favourite is Don't Speak, which didn't even come up once in my last playthrough, so I wondered if it was even in the game.). The worst aspect are definitely the repeat-races for defending your territory. They don't do you any favours. You barely get any money from the reward and it's enough for a random crew if you don't participate in a single race to take over when you need to win at least two races each time you take over an area. The police, which was a major aspect of Most Wanted, is completely pointless in Carbon. The canyon-races are are blessing and a curse. I like the idea, but I always hated to participate in them. Well...I'm always trying to win the duels by overtaking for 10 sec. Last time I played, that was impossible against Darius. I still won, but it took a lot longer. The dialogue could also have been better. Sometimes, it just doesn't make any sense, no matter if it's a cutscene, the video cam during a race or even a voice mail. I think another problem were the racing mechanics. Do you remember how nitro blocks your steering into one direction? In Carbon, it's the opposite direction from Most Wanted. I also felt like it was a lot easier to flip a car. I remember trying to take a corner with the Lotus Elise and it got flipped upside down without much effort at all. Despite all of that, Carbon still has upsides. For example: I like that they introduced a few special chase interruptors. You know...The giant donut, the gas stations, etc., but this time, you also have a giant dinosaur-skeleton! Carbon definitely has good graphics. That's for sure.
@@r4nd0mguy99 Yup i agree with a lot of the point you mentioned. But i love the vibe it has. Regardless, its pros and cons, it’s definitely a classic!!

@@FlyingDucks101I was 11 but I finished it
@@JonhHaokip you are blessed for your joyful days on MW. I had problems on my awareness & health mindset deduction back in days. Failed my SATs too, though the learning I enjoyed it but then to such extent I also became a dummy. That was my experience when I was turning from age 8 to 12. I’m happy for you man for ur completion on MW as NFS fan.
@@JonhHaokip oh it was probably bcoz I went on holiday around that age. So it was middle of summer. Idk why this clueless matter was still such a big deal for me😆😅

Best racing game ever made
@@businessgamerprb5398 yes, you're right, that's how I should've written it! 😄
You forgot Carbon, that's literally Most Wanted's sequel.
@@ralphlorenzperolino3054 MW >>>>> Carbon.
11 millions now, truly grand achievement
Ever.

NFS was at its pinnacle here
This has to be their greatest Racing Game of all time
It was my life’s mission to complete this game at the time i felt i was actually in it this game is goated 🐐
Dude the bmw M3 gtr is sooo sexy
Man, the nostalgia is real. I played this game through probably 15 times...never gets old. 10/10 would play the shit out of its remaster...if we ever get one.
This was the only NFS game I really appreciated and the most nostalgic game of my life. Before call of duty and the rise of FPS games, this was it.
NFS underground 2 was a good one as well
@@concreteblockmakingmachine if this game never came out, Underground 2 would be the best NFS ever
@@maladvojka8376 couldnt agree more
I was playing this and call of duty 2😄
What do you mean? Fps were already popular, Medal of Honor and Brother in arms were the Cod of the early 2000's
Feels bro!!! I played it when it released in 2005 and still play to this day. The best need for speed ever. It’s perfect in every aspect
Back in '06, this game was my summer. Still go back and play it every so often but damn this game was good!
Can’t count how many days I’ve spent on it. What a game.
Dude…this game on my GameCube back in 2005 had me in a chokehold 😭
The nostalgia is crazy.
I finished this Game like 10 times and still love it, the Best nfs Game ever
@DIO oh i see you're man of culture as well
1:14 - Just best part EVER in NFS
*DRAMA POINTS/SCORE BONUS*
7:20 literally cinematic ✅
When you're chased by the police it puts you under real stress to get away and you don't know how long the pursuit will last , what makes this a great game is that you feel real pressure and stress while being chased and relief when you finally get away .
The engine of that car always gives me goosebumps
This is dope,
That
slow-motion,
story line,
AI Cops,
Cars,
Mia(dream girl),
What else could you expect in a racing game,
A perfect blend

that bridge jump is just pure nostalgia
After 17 years, still the best NFS game.
Well said bro.
Facts
This chase was one of the most exhilarating gaming experiences ever, for me! :)
I almost gave up then came to RUclips saw that you can actually reach the bridge, now am pumped..
Same here. It was the best and most exciting part of the game for me.
I felt like after the Challenge series and the last Camaro vs rhinos challenge I could conquer anything. Such an amazing experience ^^
A phenomenal finale. And the ending scene with the bridge is one of the best moments in gaming history
That turn on 7:25 is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I used to play this game back in 2008-2009 when I was in college. This is one of the best game I ever played. Still love this and feels like I was playing it yesterday.
I played this in 2011😭

2:17 only true Most Wanted players know to use the slo mo at roadblocks so it doesn’t make you watch the cutscene
Sometimes, cutscene will screw you up, even when donut is damaged. I remember while cut scene of donut falling done, the car went straight into spike even in cutscene. Then what happens, car got punctured.
Now, I always use slow mo even in destroying objects
@@mr.buttler1649 exactly, a cutscene at a roadblock resulted in sending me straight into an SUV smh.
You won't love this game unless you play, man I LOVE THIS GAME!
9:10 the amount of times i tried to glitch myself into this place...
Never saw the helicopter sooo low......
btw this game has one of the tough ending phases in race games, what a gem!
in my childhood this was one of the most amazing speechless moments when completing the story and it still to this day extremely nostalgic
since Criterion Games took over EA's NFS, Need for Speed felt like an imitation of Burnout
Need for speed muito bom PlayStation Gamer play Vídeos ?
Those bonust car could be good addition if they are gonna remake it
Maybe an easter egg if you somehow copy cross's car appearance

Sweet old Memories, Thanks for the video 😇
If any game needs a remaster it's this one. Greatest racing game of all time!!
Problem is they would almost certainly ruin it with micro transactions and "surprise mechanics", a community mod to re-master it is the best bet
@@UNSCPILOT possibly lol but idc. I play games all the time with micro transactions. You don't have to partake in it if you don't want lol. I never buy a thing and still have a good time.

This had the rawest police chases out of all the NFS games
Still the ultimate NFS ever made.
No other one of them gave me this level of challenge nor satisfaction.
The story is AMAZING and it has the BEST COPS AI that I have ever seen in a NFS. I had it on PS2. Hours and hours of pure happiness. No other NFS, even nowadays, is above this one. ( Just my humble opinion here. 😊)
Try Rivals. Shit looks like a super intense version of MW 2005 and Hot Pursuit. RCPD's cops surpassed Rockport's, due to their deadly weapons and their car of choice.
you know it's crazy when even a chopper wants to tackle you
POV: *It's 2005 and you're having the best time of your life*
I’ve never been so engaged in any video game since this police chase, it felt like I was running from the cops in real life. Best game I’ve ever played
3:22 Ahhh, that rush you got when you thought you were done for, but then got out of it. Great memories. And that timed finishing thing was the best. 3:59 what a great move, such a smooth drive through.
1:05 Mia rolls her eyes like fuck it I'm out of this shit
In 3:59 i can say that's a smart decision of the player, there's like 5-6 police cars at that moment
And this is the reason why i used to love Need for Speed.
The thrill the tensity of the gameplay with all the cops chasing you.
This game was best played on the Xbox 360 back then.
This brings back a LOT of good memories! I used to play this one all the time!
Absolutely loved this game. I really wish we would get a new NFS game with the ability to destroy things like this, it is almost like a collaboration with burnout.
I still remember that burnout game, my favorite nfs mw nd burnout
Well Burnout is made by the same company so I can see how you think that which is another game that we most likely won’t see again 😔
EA should just Remaster Hot Pursuit 2 through Carbon. I'd absolutely stuff them with my money, if they did!
When this mission started I didn't know what to do for the first time . Then I asked my friends for the route for the broken bridge. I memorized the route and followed it. It was fun. Good old memories
This brings back memories. This and carbon are by far the best NFS GAMES EA ever put out!
Few games never gets old even of it released a decade ago or more... most wanted is one of a kind... great story line and even the characters withing the game made us feel it real ..
The memories I have with this game… wish I could relive them again.
Really wish they’d make another one like this.
this brings back so many good memories. the best NFS that i have ever played. and ohhh the BMW M3 GTR is an absolute beast.
1:13 I wonder how many megaphones it took for that voice actor to satisfy the producers with that shout 😂
