@@BlazeORenegado is very easy to beat Darius with a Lancer Evo, Darius weakness is that his turns are not that good, if you can outskill him in turns, he's done, and the lancer have the best handling in turns in the whole game, actually is one of the couple cars that can beat him in the canyon by surpassing him, actually Shirako almost did it in that large turn almost at the end of the canyon, but he crash his back instead, giving Darius a little push.
The Evo IX is the 2nd fastest tuner car in Carbon. But the Skyline is more faster than the Evo because it has better handling and can range up to 225 MPH. That's the car I used to beat Darius.
Nice to see someone use one of the story cars. I remade Darius supra that the player used from the cut scene. Definitely gave an epic feeling for the final race…
I played the game three separate times doing each class (Tuners, Muscles, and Exotics) in 2018-2019, and then finally beating the game the 4th time in the Ford GT, my favorite vehicle in all the Need For Speed games. Somewhat repetitive, but well worth beating the final boss.
So I had a theory that Darius in this game is also Darius Flynt from Forza Horizon 1. In FH1 it was said that he showed up to Horizon festival as a nobody and worked his way up to celebrity status. The two games could have taken place in any order; either he loses his empire in NFS and ends up at horizon, or After losing in FH1 he takes to the streets of Carbon.
@@user-xi4ym4lp2q just replayed carbon, cheesed him with a vette by kinda using him to propel myself forward through turn 1 and then cockblocking into turn 2 of the canyon xd

Memories. The greatest memories... The newer NFS games may offer better graphics, a wider vehicle variety, and longer stories, but what makes the older NFS games better is the simplicity of the atmosphere, yet that specifically brings a slight feeling of 'supernostalgia', even for first time players. That is alone the quality needed to grant the older games a triumph over the newer ones, starting with HP2 and ending with Rivals, the best of the NFS era in my opinion. Sure, you can waste your time on Heat or Payback, but you're truly missing out on the greatness the older games bring. I can't even comprehend how some people say these games are disgusting and don't even try them. It makes me really sad. I grew up with the games from Underground to Shift, doing so from 2 years of age, and I enjoyed every one of them with that 'supernostalgia' feeling, especially UG2, MW, and Carbon. However, I didn't feel the same as I played NFS 2015, Payback, and Heat. It actually felt repetitive, and slightly boring. Blackbox was my favorite era, and still is. That is why I still play the older games in my spare time. And that is all I need to keep me happy. Some people say you'll eventually grow sick of things, but these - these didn't. I'm still here in 2021, playing games that are coming close to their 20th anniversaries. And I still enjoy them to this day. Thank you for reading my comment. And please don't reply judging my opinion - it hurts me. You don't have to bully someone for disliking their opinion.
Funny thing is lancer its one of the best car to have more control on curves its pretty easy to drive but this guy i dont know how fuck it off completely the upgrades, when in turns or curves the car behaves Really bad there is no control but yeah nice seeing a lancer here
I remember my final race with Darius, he is so fast and every time I bumped into something he is always laughing. It's so annoying. 4:47 this race was the hardest one for me, had to restart a few times because I fall into the cliff.
Brooo, mah man! I remember desperately trying to win this shit. I fully upgraded my Supra and still lose due to lack of fucking points. I understood I needed something else, something like Lamborghini. Farmed money on drift, because I somehow managed to get poor, fully upgraded mah shit and IMMEDIATELY beated his ass and I was like wtf, what a bs! So frustrating.
@@RyanCooperEN Yes! It is so frustrating, I also used a Lamborghini but didn't fully upgraded it because I lack money. But I still managed to beat him although I had to restart a lot.
I agree its really kinda uhh.., but i never see his expression coz i play on ps2, and sometimes i try to bump him but it feels like bumping to the wall(i always try to make him fall off from the canyon but yeah its useless), and i always use corvette or viper(coz i dunno, if both of these were fully upgrades its acceleration was kinda fast, but its hard to control i'll be slidin everytime using those cars), cz i always want to outrun them, sorry if my english bad
You should always use Muscle and Tuner Cars. I defeated him 3 times by using these cars: 1. Corvette 2. Viper 3. Skyline Exotics don't work because they will lose control when facing curves in the canyon race, and you can fall easily to the cliff even you adjusted the performance tuning of your car.
I defeat darius several time using evo with heavy understeer settings and tire on grip side tune. I defeat him here 5:57 by overtake from outside or insde. I failed using other tunner cars (350z, supra, R34, STI) to overtake at that point. Its hard to tailgate and get away for both runs. Its better try to overtake.
This race is one of the scariest parts of NFS. One wrong move and you'll be smoked by Darius instantly, even on the canyons. You have 2 choices, win the race and take over the city, or die in the deep dark canyons. Once you reach this race, there's no turning back, and you only have a small chance of defeating him in the canyons if you are using a Muscle car. Exotics don't work but some of them do, and Tuners are really fun to race against him. The only way to win is to stay ahead in 1st place. Don't let Darius take the lead or else he might start rubberbanding as hell like Earl did in MW 2005 lmao. In the canyons, take a Tuner or a Muscle with you. You have 2 chances: Muscle - You can overtake Darius at the first turn when you start his canyon race. It's not easy by any means just because his Audi is too fast and can literally be aggressive. Tuner - You can overtake Darius at the descending part of the canyon, there's a 50% chance that he might slow down. One mistake, and you will start all over again until Darius gives up.
I like how you messed with the ai in the first race The ai doesnt privatize shortcuts unless YOU took THAT shortcut and since he was too close to you when you took the second shortcut the ai tried to take it too but crashed

Man, you earned my respect. After all, you won using a Lancer (My favorite car ever made). Max Respect For Ya, Buddy
it is not so difficult. Try using Mazda RX-8 xd. Evo IX is one of the best in Carbon.
Are you kidding? I am going to use ALL OF THE JDM CARS on the game. But my main car will be the Evo IX
@@BlazeORenegado try manual transmission. with the automatic it is impossible on the RX-8. fit the components well for each car.
Carbon was the last of it's kind. The ending to both underground's imp. VIBE, from start to finish. Those canyon runs were INTENSE!
Nice to see someone use one of the story cars. I remade Darius supra that the player used from the cut scene. Definitely gave an epic feeling for the final race…
You had his past literally catch up to him, I like it.
Now i really replay it again lol
This would be super dope!
He also joined the space marines and is in Battlestar Galactica 2004.
0:10 that turn got me 😂😂
Mannnnn! Nostalgic! I remember beating him in the end with a stock Corvette.
I beat him with Lamborghini Gallando
I kept trying to overtake him on the first turn with the vette😂
lancer evo
I beat dude in Skyline viper lancer lotus vet I played this game over and over did tuners muscle exotics all the classes this game was my childhood
@@user-xi4ym4lp2q just replayed carbon, cheesed him with a vette by kinda using him to propel myself forward through turn 1 and then cockblocking into turn 2 of the canyon xd
I like the fact that he’s still laughing while trailing. “Huh Ha Huh Ha Ha!!” 😂😂
Jeeez. I remember I finished the whole game within 6-7 hours. I miss those times while listening to 'Oh lake lake I'll do it like a truck'!!
The fact that ANGIE doesn't appear in the last circuit race against Darius is still IRONIC even after 15 years of release.
What
@@aurorapaisley7453 w*men
Scorpio's Evo is badass and underrated
Yeah it's a nice looking Evo.
Man, that was a tense ending, love it
that reminds me i tried with the same GTR Skyline, but couldnt beat him in all those attempts evenvaing 3 close-win[an hes the reason of me having 140heartbeat for the first time]
🗑
The Music in Carbon is so good👌
Darius : No one can touch me
Also Darius : 6:01
*ûRgH*
In Need for Speed Heat, I made liveries of every single faction this game on a car, with the carbon vinyl on the back window
Inferno: Mustang Foxbody
Los Colerbres: Dodge Challenger
21st street: Chevy Camero
Rotor 4: VW Golf Clubsport
Bushido: Nissan 200sx
Scorpio: Mazda Miata
Kings: Mercades (forgot the model)
TFK: Porsche Panamera Turbo
Black Hearts: BMW M4
Stacked deck: Lamborghini Mercielago, Challenger, and Lancer
EVO 9 Scorpio VS Darius's LeMans Quattro (R8 Concept)
8:52 you can hear Darius say “enjoy it while it lasts”
Carbon, Undercover and Most Wanted 2012 are the best NFS ever
0:55 when Ekstrak HITS IN!!!!!
Absolutely just like you brother 💯
Black Box Era will never die ❤
3:45. Ah yes. The voiceline responsible for giving unaware first timers a false sense of confidence.
Canyon races concept is so great and full of adrenaline
Did anyone noticed, that music changes when Darious passes you in the race?
Yo I completely forgot this game existed, I loved the mountain battles
Darius: *"nO oNe cAn tOuCh mE"*
Player: *"says nothing"*
NFS Carbon is the best NFS ever made in the entire history of Need For Speed games! No doubt it.
Funny thing is lancer its one of the best car to have more control on curves its pretty easy to drive but this guy i dont know how fuck it off completely the upgrades, when in turns or curves the car behaves Really bad there is no control but yeah nice seeing a lancer here
Facts

R8 is the scariest car in NFS Carbon!
for a 2006 game, i must say the facial animations are on point. even better than some games nowadays
Installed and played this game to 100% about 2 years ago after loving it as a kid in 2007. Don't regret, best racing game experience since ages ago
I defeated him 3 times by using these cars:
1. Corvette
2. Viper
3. Skyline
Exotics don't work because they will lose control when facing curves in the canyon race, and you can fall easily to the cliff even you adjusted the performance tuning of your car.
The Canyon races were very brutal man
I remember finishing the game when I was like 9 and I immediately called my dad who was working that night to let him know that I did it
0:50 Voldemort laugh
3:25 Darius must be one of the few people on the earth who spun out in an AWD.
NFS moment, don't worry
You have 2 chances:
Muscle - You can overtake Darius at the first turn when you start his canyon race. It's not easy by any means just because his Audi is too fast and can literally be aggressive.
Tuner - You can overtake Darius at the descending part of the canyon, there's a 50% chance that he might slow down.
One mistake, and you will start all over again until Darius gives up.
They should have done another were Darius comes back, but these games needed a remaster
Darius: Laughs when u crashes while in last😅
All the best for Shirrako team love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Man i wanna drift again in these rocky mountain roads!! How I miss carbon so much!
1:49 Still he is laughing
Dude this is the game that got me into racing games, this is where i the greatest racer in history learned to play😎
I like how you messed with the ai in the first race
The ai doesnt privatize shortcuts unless YOU took THAT shortcut and since he was too close to you when you took the second shortcut the ai tried to take it too but crashed
Prioritize*
When I moved from Carbon to Pro Street, I felt like I went from horse to donkey, I didn't even bother to finish Pro Street, just gave up on it and moved on to next NFS.
Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005 and Need For Speed Carbon are the best in the series!
Rivals?
I wish there was a mod where you could drive around in the Underground 2 city, Most Wanted cities and Carbon city seamlessly. the driving in this game I think is the best out of all of this era of NFS games I've played
That Tokyo drift ending... 🤩
tempos de ouro da era NEED FOR SPEED,lembro-me que ficavamos na expectativas para um lançamento de um proximo jogo; ERA DEMAIS !
That canyon part was so impossible, never managed to win it! Wonder if I could beat it today… that was over 10 years ago!
The easiest way to take corners without the speed breaker is to handbrake and normal brake at the same time
Carbon has One of the most toughest Final Race in NFS. One circuit + 2 carbon canyon race
Good old time amazing work buddy❤🥰
lmao he be doing burnout with all the wheels of that audi
Back when gaming was simple and fun.

My favourite NFS game.
Need for speed muito bom PlayStation Gamer play vídeos?
3:25 oh, Darius, why arent you laughing now?)
Underground 2 MW and Carbon had a "serios" or a real note to them, "simulating" the real world racing somehow.. And that made them so good
I don’t remember what car I beat this game with but I’m pretty sure it was an exotic. My thing was to set the transmission to manual and every time I’d make a sharp turn I’d downshift once or twice and my car would swing through that corner flawlessly. Good times.
Shirrako, please tell the mods you've used to reach this level of graphics.
Think they most probably used Reshade but I'm not sure about the texture mod
And that frame rate tho, pc version is buggy af
Darius's Audi Le Mans Quattro in NFS CARBON looks glamorous like Kenji's Lancer Evo VIII.
they did an outstanding job with this map
Ah, this brings me back to the days when my mom would take me to the video store and rent me these games. Just had school to worry about. When the weekend came, I would play on my xbox and my buddy up the road would bring his ps2 sometimes. He had San Andreas and sometimes he'd let me keep it for a few days and i'd have a blast. Ate dinner and right back to the games and cartoons. Now i'm 23 and just got my first ps4, just bought NFS Payback. Never too late to start another one
I have been playing this recently with the G29 Racing wheel and having a BLAST!
damn he just did a 180 drift while driving 10 mph thats crazy
