When I saw the Aston Martin which is a GT class leaving in the dust an LMP (Pescarolo probably), I directly knew that some high ranking player went back to tutorial island to bully the newbies 😂

The DBR9 is one of the few cars that can make 7000RPM sound like 17000RPM.

@@joe125ful the Aventador sounds like shit in comparison. Only good sounding Lamborghinis were the Diablo and Murcielago. Countach was alright but only with a Kreiseig(?) exhaust.

When i see (and hear) this beauty and look now at the modern cars.... i will cry.
And it's not an "old" racing car... 😉‼️After this kind of racing cars, Le Mans has been less and less interesting... In fact, the end of the group C have written slowly the end of REAL racing cars that made (great) noise... 💯🛢️🔥🏁🏎️🤓

Perhaps the best sounding car of all time. It has it all, mechanical noises, high pitch (But not too high) V12, squeels, the sound makes it abundantly clear this car's being driven like it's intended to, to the max!
It's amazing how despite using the same basic engine design as the road-going DB9, it goes from a throaty road car to a wailing banshee in the DBR9. Completely different noises but the same spine-tingling, hair-raising result.
AML has something special with that engine, but I can't help but feel it lost a little something now that they're turbocharged.
Like watching a greatest hits race in Gran Turismo, this was awesome. I think I even had a heart in mouth moment when that S7 jumped in front of you under braking.

@@oisinkenny67672:35 ish... it's a Saleen S7R. The F1 GTR was 2:07, and not under bder braking. Both masterfully handled by the DBR9 driver
the cornering speed on this thing still to this day blows my mind
From selection of cars to the insane skilled drivers pushing priceless cars close, on or beyond limit is with your camera angles and mic simply a joy to watch. New technology is awesome but all these analog or semi modern racing cars you pick are the dream cars wich i grow up watching. Thanks you for these videos mate.

Just wanted to say thank you for making this video. When the DBR9 raced was when I first got into endurance racing, and it still stands out as my favorite racing car ever produced. The sounds and design is so evocative, and I have so many memories using this car in GTR2, PGR3, and now Assetto Corsa. Incredible footage man, seeing it driven like this again made me so happy 🥲

That is one very fast car. I loved the sheer acceleration it had in second coming out the corners.
There’s always something magical about someone using an old race car in the way they were intended to be used
I randomly gave it a go in Forza Motorsport and fell in love with the sound and the performance. It's quite drifty and the wheels spin even in 3rd gear, but still very enjoyable.
