My Grandad’s best friend had a 2005 DB9 back in 06’ when i was about 8 and it was the first “Supercar” i’d even been around at the time, went out in it and it make me feel sick how fast it was. Almost 20 years later i still have it set that i will own one eventually, the DB9 has a special place in my heart🤟🏻

I've been fortunate enough to drive a 2006 DB9 and I don't know why you'd want anything faster for the road tbh. 0-60 in the late 4's, 0-100 in the mid 10's and a top speed of 186 mph. It's plenty fast enough and is the kind of car that could cruise at 130 mph all day. Was a very special car and sounded amazing. I've got 2 kids so obviously not practical for me as a daily but I'd love one for an occasional Sunday drive. If I could afford one as a toy, I'd just get Apple CarPlay/Android Auto added to it as the Volvo era Sat Nav is horseshit and out of date.
The pre-facelift DB9 (2003-2008) and the pre-facelift V8 Vantage (2005-2008) are the 2 most beautiful cars in the last 20 years. The only other car that comes close for me is a pre-facelift Maserati Granturismo with the birdcage alloys.

Not to be a naysayer - it is a lovely car! - but my mechanic, Harris, in Berkeley, California, who works on British and European cars exclusively won't touch these. He tells me parts need to come from the dealer, which means they will and do charge high, unpredictable rates - whatever they feel like charging. A brake service that cost 500. dollars on one occasion costs 1200. the next. His customers were getting angry at him. He just gave up working on them. From what I gather he is not alone.

This car is the definition of timeless design for me, outside and inside as well (when you put off the navi system and the screen will turn down). And that makes it special, other exotic cars are groundbreaking during the premiere but then after few years feeling old, but Aston designers made something special. That's probably the reason why even if I'm in love with many other exotic cars, DB9 is the only one I'd like to own as a keeper.
