I've watched the V12 vantage at Brands and the upshifts are absolutely savage when you stand right when they're changing gear, was the loudest car there by far (British GT race last year)
The date was 2008/2009 and I was first introduced to this machine in GRID for the 360.. I took a break from gaming once my family came, but as GT7 came around I was ecstatic to see the DBR9 for sale. I’ve logged 9k miles racing this car exclusively on GR3 and love every moment behind the wheel. 13 year old design still teaching the new comers who is boss. Long live the DBR. Holds such a dear place in my heart.
One of my favourite memories of my trip to Spa 24 Hours in 2005 was being sat in an empty grandstand at Eau Rouge with my Dad at 3am whilst the pair of Astons screamed up the hill. The sound was unreal.
0:35 capuava racing team was (idk if it still is) a brazilian racing team. this car was owned by brazilian businessman Alcides Diniz. he also had a lister storm V12, mercedes CLK GTR, ford GT40, Bugatti EB110. he died in 2006
this car has a bizarre history, it never raced competitively while in Brazil, ended up being stripped down to build the Cirtek DBR9 at Mil Milhas 2006 and the car was a hybrid spec including larger rear wing, front splitter, more power and paddle shift system
Hi Bozzy. I really enjoyed watching and hearing these amazing DBR9s! As always you and the boys did a hell of a good job on the coverage.👏 You know I dig the closeups in the garage. All that carbon fiber eye candy looks so nice!😍 These V12 sounds combined with the crazy fast shifts make for a sweet symphony and headphones are a must for maximum pleasure. Thanks again for doing what you do my friend!🙌 Cheers.
Thank you so much Mick! I was really hoping to see it in action one day. And now I'd like to go back in time to enjoy some proper GT1 races... :'( That V12 sounds fantastic!
The garage footage is great, please do more if you can.I worked in the European Le mans Series years ago as a wheel and tyre guy, miss it like hell.More garage stuff please !!
Des Des crazy. It does seem like a dedicated lifestyle of away from home. Plus the time the crew spends possibly alone at the track finessing the pit routines til they are perfect. You were prolly doing the patterns in your sleep taking wheels off 😃
"Capuava Racing" had some wicked cars. From the top of my head: Lister Storm GT1 (also with that sexy girl on the hood), Lister Storm V12 (road version), Mercedes CLK-DTM, Mercedes CLK-GTR, BMW M3 GTR, original Ford GT40, plus a ton of other racing and road cars including Ferraris, Porsches, Jaguars, etc. The guy was a rich heir who built his own race track but unfortunately passed away because of cancer.
I saw this beast live at le mans 24H, best sound i ever heard in my entire life. And trust me, my first le mans 24h was in 2005, a lot of legendary car sounds that time.
Although I was born in 1997 and I wouldn´t go to watch a live race event many years later, I used to watch in SpeedVision (the TV channel) some races of the FIA GT Championship. And, by watching some videos of the Le Mans 24 Hours, from 1995 to 1998, GT1 cars were able to keep up with the prototypes and finish as high as possible and also winning the race (like McLaren did in 1995 with the GTR and Porsche did with the 98 911 GT1). That doesn´t happen anymore, because now, GT cars can only win their own class.
I remember one article that during it's year of competition, Stephane Sarrazin said that he thought he was going to melt inside the front-engine DBR9 in Le Mans and 30 minutes after his stint ended, he had to go back to replace the other driver who almost passed out because of the heat. I can't imagine being inside that V12 beast.
These cars are special because they have won Le Man several times with the equivalent budget of the Corvette teams fridge contents. Goes to show how special the engineers and drivers are for Prodrive Aston Martin 🇬🇧
TFW this pops up in your recommended videos and you realize that GT Sport is slated to also get the DBR9 soon. Yes, just yesterday at the FIA GTC event in Sydney did they JUST announce it!
Always fascinated y the wings on these racing cars and their specs. I think so far, I like Victor Racing brand. Think you could maybe make a video reviewing these wings on racing cars? WOuld be super cool and give more perspective on their impact.
Sono d’accordo per l’ecologia, ma le auto da gara con propulsore elettrico, proprio non le digerisco, ma vogliamo mettere il sound allucinante di un bel V12....🤤
Makes me sad that machines like this aren't being made anymore... Truly a magnificent specimen of Hardcore engineering!
May the V12 Never Die!
Thankfully, the next year we will have another Aston Martin powered by a 6.5L V12 in Le Mans! The Valkyrie, and it's not hybrid
Corrr you didn't know how good you had it 6 years ago. Look forward to cosworth's 11,000+ rpm V12s in the 2020's !
V12 is V12...😍
I think beside V12 from Ferarri's. I think this V12 is the most screaming V12 I heard in my life :D
Love that sound !
In video games like Project Cars 2, you have both, the V8 version and the V12, I always take the V12 just because of the sound :P
oXyDe DRIVERS Well, the V8 Vantage is a GT2 platform so it's entirely different but I see what you mean!
I think in the game the V8 is the GTE version while V12 is a GT3
oXyDe DRIVERS yup! GTE and GTLM are all GT2 platforms. And yeah they also have the GT3 which is the V12.
Oh man that V12 Aston is heavenly ! I remember it from Top Gear. What a beast !
This and the Corvette C6.R are the reason I started watching ALMS

This is such a beautiful car and it sounds good.
was my desktop background for 5 years straight
Aston vs Corvette at Le Mans will always be one of my favourites!
DanniiBee great battles!
It’ll never be duplicated…
I've just come from a C6R GT1 video, living the nights at Le Mans again, you had these and the whisper quiet Peugeot/Audi LMP1's
POOR JEFF
Yea that car had no chance against the c6r vettes
Awesome video Bozzy!! Wish GT1 was still a category in racing today. :(
Imagine, 720S GT1, Centenario GT1, Honda Odyssey GT1, the possibilities are endless
AJHedges DB11, or bugatti chiron if you're really adventurous.
Why it isn't anymore?
GT1 category doesn't exist anymore since 2011, because this catergory was too expansive
Thanks Jake!

I keep coming back to this video because I can’t get enough of the sound
Man, it’s crazy how we just took these works of art for granted back then. Truly amazing.
Best combo possible?
This engine, in 2018 Vantage GTE body.
*BWOAH*
Kimi Raikkonen: *Bwoah* , *this* *engine* *is* *loud*
One of the all time greats... Thank you so much Bozzy!
No problem dude! Thank you for watching

Fabricio Campos cara valeu mesmo por comentar isso! Descobri várias coisas pesquisando no Google a partir do seu comentário
que isso, valeu também!

Des Des nice you were part of a race crew?
Des Des I always love and appreciate all the behind the scenes garage footage, too.👍
Yes, loved it but no glamour, 18 hour days, airport/ track/hotel/track, repeat !
Des Des crazy. It does seem like a dedicated lifestyle of away from home. Plus the time the crew spends possibly alone at the track finessing the pit routines til they are perfect. You were prolly doing the patterns in your sleep taking wheels off 😃
Best looking and sounding GT car ever.
Have you heard the Porsche 911 RSR yet? After that you will probably chanhe your mind😄
I'd say the Lamborghini Murcielago RS-V GT1
The trim around the grill is so iconic
Aston Martin DBRS9 is much louder than this

Bozzy please start a Patreon so I can shower you with money instead of just praise. You do such a great job, I love this channel!
Thank you so much for your support Keith. I'll see in the future
Downshifts are crisp, can't get enough of it
that gunfire-like sound adds yo the awesomeness of the engine's noise..
Screaming f1 v12 sound..great video bozzy keep it up..

Lovely footage of a lovely car. It would be great to see one unrestricted and revving to 8,000rpm.

YEESS! BOZZY YOU LEGEND!! THANK YOU!!!
No problem at all!

Only 0,1 second slower than Zonda R at Top Gear track...this race car is amazing
@Mandje Tichelaar How? Do you have proof?
Fantastic noise
Them downshifts though😍
These cars are special because they have won Le Man several times with the equivalent budget of the Corvette teams fridge contents. Goes to show how special the engineers and drivers are for Prodrive Aston Martin 🇬🇧

Wailing v12 alert!!👍👍👌
I can't decide what sounds better. V8 or v12. Both are amazing.
Can't beat the RS-V GT1 Murcielago sound though.
Thanks for the links at the end.
You're welcome! ;)
Questa me la ricordo in GTR2!! Mod FIA GT 2006, Team BMS Scuderia Italia, che bella bestia!

TFW this pops up in your recommended videos and you realize that GT Sport is slated to also get the DBR9 soon.
Yes, just yesterday at the FIA GTC event in Sydney did they JUST announce it!

Sono d’accordo per l’ecologia, ma le auto da gara con propulsore elettrico, proprio non le digerisco, ma vogliamo mettere il sound allucinante di un bel V12....🤤
What's with the gigantic airbox? Hiding the throttle bodies and some variable length intake runners maybe?
Con este auto corro en el Gran Turismo Sport. Es espectacular
