I doubt they will. It would be ratings sucide, unfortunately most people who were Top Gear fanatics and watched for Clarkeson and co (the ones who make themselves pretty obvious in comments sections) know and care nothing about motorsports, the scripted challenges and basic drag races get too many eyeballs on the TV for them.
I know you might not see this comment, being busy with your new gig, but I just wanted to say that this is one of my favorite films of yours. You and the crew did such a great job on this one. Every couple of months, I'm drawn back to watch it yet again, and I still enjoy it like new every time. Thank you. We miss you here on RUclips, Mr. Harris!
Speed limits in racing are a travesty. Speed limits on Nürburgring are a sacrilege. Absolutely fantastic video though, as always. Thank you Chris, Neil and the team!
***** Any death in motorsport is a tragedy, regardless if its a driver or spectator. I'm all for safety and better barriers but the spectator that was killed by the GTR during the VLN race were in an area not protected by the barriers. Ignorance is bliss till it bites you in the ass...
TeamBoehnisch Yes there were and they are there for a reason. The spectator that got killed was in an area he shouldn't have been in. If i remember correctly they had been told to move and get back behind the barriers but refused. If thats the case I maintain my previous statement.
David Gonzalez Absolutely. I am the same opinion that - because that part is a High-Speed part (!) - it is absolutely the wrong place to watch. And moreover the one who was killed (R.I.P. our motorsports-friend), sat directly in the line where the cars would go if they don't get the corner - so he wanted to have the best view on a crash. He had.
Kind of don't miss Top Gear at all when Chris is making such quality content. Thank you for giving me my motoring show fix Chris, you've filled the void TG left behind for me.
what an experience this must be sitting in a garage with your crew hearing the engines roaring past knowing that in a couple of ours the car is gonna be handed to you and you have to get out there
Bob Tsui Top Gear is sadly gone. But you know i would watch it if Chris Harris replaced Jeremy Clarkson even though i know james and richard wont do it with clarkson.
351broncoii The core of Top Gear's success, and the reason that it will be successful among its core demo post-reboot, is that it was a fun show about cars. They now have an opportunity to go back to being a show about cars as opposed to being a show about May, Clarkson, and Hammond with some cars tossed in for flavor. I probably won't follow them to their new show precisely for the reason you're stating. Their new show will probably pick up where Top Gear left off, which is to say in a bad place, because that's what their following wants to see. Their characters became bigger than the cars they were driving and the show became predictable. CHOC is where Top Gear was and should have stayed.
BTrain5489 To me, at least they made Top Gear. I've watched Fifth Gear as well as other car shows and well they're good. There much of the same, a lot of facts and figures, same boring road testing but no personality. For me, Top Gear is not just the best car show ever but my favourite show period. Because it combines two of my favourite things cars and British comedy. Specifically their brand of comedy and the chemistry between them. I've heard a lot of non car people say they watch it. Not because they're into cars but because. But because despite the subject matter they found the show funny. To me, that's a mark of true greatness when you can get non car people to watch a car show
Darren Wilson It's really fucking creepy that you look through peoples past comments. Just to comeback with lame ass comebacks. PS: Don't assume everybody who doesn't agree with you is automatically American. There's a whole wide world out there. For instance, I'm Canadian
Chris Harris on Cars If this is judged by others as luridly sycophantic in the end, I could not possibly care less. When you posted your Bloodhound SSC video a while ago, I was awestruck. The joy of being so utterly immersed in the experience and yet never pandered to. Never - as we would say in the US - "dumbed down." Thank you for holding true to that core value. Of the thousands of racing films -- on the smallest and largest screens alike -- this one retains that same brilliance, and the same inherent honesty as Bloodhound. And throughout, the luscious, totally mesmerizing cinematography... is truly without peer.
Mumbo Jumbo Yeah really guy , can,t you delete your reaction, this is not your average youtube clip, people who are subscribed here wait for these high quality episodes with high anticipation, putting up spoilers is not done.
I know it`s a long time ago now.. BUT.... Don`t you just love that raw V12 power... That bark of the straight through exhausts and a ROUND steering wheel.. An amazing looking, sounding and performing car.
That sound at 1.33 as it pulls away is simply mind blowing. It is the Spitfire of the car world! Yet another superb video from CH and his team. Thanks guys.
This is my first comment on RUclips and it is simply because the editing, narrative, and story of this clip was simply perfect. I wish this was a full length documentary as I would love to watch more.
Chris, this was absolutely delightful to watch (barring the end which was gut wrenching). You and Neil between you have finely honed your craft and produced another masterpiece that perfectly encapsulates the raw emotion that Motorsport can make you feel, particularly in an endurance setting - a highly challenging race type and I completely echo your mixture of excitement and nerves. Keep doing what you do, because you do it so well.
Chris Harris on Cars So nice to have you back as "Chris Harris on Cars" and not part of the US-centric Drive. Don't know how you feel about it but I, for one, am glad to see you doing your own thing again. Love your work.
What a great genre (race storytelling from the perspective of one competitor). One of the things that made me completely fall in love with endurance racing was the TopGear's episode about their participation in the Silverstone 24h. There should be more of this.
the script, the filmography, the soundtrack, the deep emotion and entertainment that your videos provide take this car video thing to a whole new level CHOC really deserves a spot on television and a big budget. there's no movies or tv shows that come even near this quality
I never even once thought about purchasing the Drive+ videos. Chris Harris' videos keep getting more high quality as they come. I would definitely pay to watch. To think these are free videos with the quality they are, is absolutely impressive. Good job Neil and Chris, epic stuff!.
Chris, your videos provides a detailed and personable experience into a segment of the racing world I will never experience. Thank you for your uploads.
Another amazing video by Chris and Neil. If you turned that into a 2 hour long documentary I would have watched every minute. Great job guys, I'm happy to see the increase in subscribers and views reflecting the quality of work you are turning out. Now to patiently await the next one.
Oh man! I was so happy hearing you were in the 20's and then.. that disappointment. Superb video, Mr. Harris. I love your style, knowledge, and filming. Enjoyed.
Great video & exceptionally well shot again Neil. Disappointing result the car looked superb, but this mini documentary is a triumph. Take that as a win.
What a phenomenal experience! I'm always amazed when I run into car enthusiasts who don't enjoy racing. How can you not love this? Great stuff Chris Harris on Cars!
What a stunner of an edit! Chris and Neil thank you, it was a shane about the DNF but you got to drive it on the road which is just so cool. Better luck next time
What an amazing video! Thank you Chris, Neil and the team to give us crazy fans a fantastic peek behind the scenes of the madness and adrenaline rush that is the N24! Shame about the speed limits I have a feeling it is only a temporary situation.
What a brilliant video! Shame you guys didn't manage to bring it home. I love these race videos nearly as much if not more than the car reviews :P The shot of that Porsche screaming down the hill was immense. Well done Neil I can only imagine it's a very hard place to film to try and capture varying shots with it being such a big place!
Great video, I keep watching these in the hope that I'll find one where the car finishes the race!! Love your commentary and your perspective on the race, awesome work!
AWHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm shattered as a fan of CH on Cars let alone my dissapointment for the all involved in the race!! The wait and anticipation for this video was HUGE, and apart from the outcome, it did not disappoint!! Once again a visual and audio piece of pure perfection! Thanks heaps!!
A 24 hours race at night is one of the most beautiful things there is. And when the sun starts to rise I always feel very privileged to be able to witness it, to me it’s quite an emotional thing
Once again you guys don't disappoint. The commentary, the video work, the editing are all top notch! I only wish there was an hour of watchable content. Thank you guys!
Many thanks Chris for this stunning video, as many other videos you've made already. Thanks for your Crew too. hope to meet you up a day in the future. cheers
Brilliant quality journalism and stunning images once again. Now get in that Glickenhaus you so happily showed so many times in this video and give it the full beans
seriously i love such videos, even more than regular car test vids if that's possible. And that's mainly the passion that you show is just inspiring.. i truly wish i'll get the chance to drive at such an event someday.. baahh, gotta watch this again
I really like that car and the 24hr race is a dream event. To see the car on public roads in race form (graffics and wing) was like watching a space ship fly above, just jaw dropping. Great video.
What a great vid. Been a long time since I've seen something reasonably succinct that captures such a gamut of a race day, including the passion of a particular car. Cinematography also stellar as usual...
What a great effort by you and your team mates. Better luck next year. A really big thanks to Neil for great camera work that made me feel like I was there :)
Well done Chris Harris you should be given an MBE you are Truly quintessentially British an outstanding balance of excellence and car journalism , this is an extraordinarily great video. Thank-you Sir Chris Harris you are to so so many people the number one choice for top quality automotive-ness...x. video is spectacular Thank-you again Chris
Chris and everyone involved with the show I believe you are a better car show than top gear. This episode was amazing from the narration to the cinematography. BBC pick these guys up
I wish TV coverage of Le Mans and for that matter F1 could reach the level of quality that this video clearly displayed ... I really wish you'd get your own show with a big network because I think there's huge potential for a big success. I could almost smell the octane and rubber .... Keep it up Chris
I'm always amazed about how great your camera guy is. The visuals again are so fucking incredible good. The night shot with the glowing break disks at super slow motion for instance.. that is so beautiful. So really well done of him. (And yes I could also praise Chris, but he gets praise enough :-)
brilliant film chaps. youve captured the flavour of the n24h perfectly, its mad, bonkers, a bit intimidating, and bloody confusing and thats just from a spectators view point, iv no idea what its like to actually be a part of this mental race. neil doing is usual standard great work ps: radiolemans doing the english commentary as always highly knowledgeable and entertaining, i did enjoy the interview with chis on rlm...
This is what the new Top Gear needs more of! Just get Mr. Harris to document his racing and you have a winner!
It is, he has....and stay tuned for more
just need to get rid of the two tools headlining it, THEN WE HAVE A WINNER
I doubt they will. It would be ratings sucide, unfortunately most people who were Top Gear fanatics and watched for Clarkeson and co (the ones who make themselves pretty obvious in comments sections) know and care nothing about motorsports, the scripted challenges and basic drag races get too many eyeballs on the TV for them.
gnarkillkicksass the ratings have already taken a nose dive.
He does a fantastic job. Brilliant really. Great camera work too!
Brilliant brilliant editing ! My god this has to be the best quality piece of auto journalist video.
kerk tp really great footages, maybe background music could be cheerful a little bit
kerk tp Came here to say the same thing. Neil does the greatest job.
kerk tp indeed. above tv-level quality for sure. the filmography and soundtrack are plainly perfect.
kerk tp Careful what you say, they might convert the channel to sub only like Drive.
ahmet emre öz I think the music is a big part of what makes this so good.
Harris!
"Strapped on his biggest pair of balls and removed his brain"
I think he's a bit sensitive about that area. I heard testicles, nads and bollocks!
Standard everyday procedure for many American men. Great stupidity ensues... Not myself of course, but so many guys I know.
David Gonzalez there were barriers. The problem was that the GT-R flew over the barriers and the fence! Very bad luck in this case..
TeamBoehnisch Yes there were and they are there for a reason. The spectator that got killed was in an area he shouldn't have been in. If i remember correctly they had been told to move and get back behind the barriers but refused. If thats the case I maintain my previous statement.

Proves that you cant fix stupid! Good day sir.
I really like seeing Chris Harris' Chris Harris on Cars logo on cars.
Kind of don't miss Top Gear at all when Chris is making such quality content. Thank you for giving me my motoring show fix Chris, you've filled the void TG left behind for me.
Thank you so much for making videos like this. For many of us this is the closest we will get to actually seeing these kinds of moments.
I keep coming back to this vid periodically, and man oh man... the footage and everything else is just phenomenal
I'm the exact same. The sound of that V12 when he's driving it to the track, god what a sound! :D
Same. This is to say the least the 10th time i rewatch.
what an experience this must be sitting in a garage with your crew hearing the engines roaring past knowing that in a couple of ours the car is gonna be handed to you and you have to get out there
Chris Harris on Cars and Top Gear, thats all I need for motoring shows
Bob Tsui Top Gear is sadly gone. But you know i would watch it if Chris Harris replaced Jeremy Clarkson even though i know james and richard wont do it with clarkson.
Darren Wilson Well, your an articulate one aren't you?
PS: the US one is shit

Fantastic video :)

philip s Fixed :)
I know it`s a long time ago now.. BUT.... Don`t you just love that raw V12 power... That bark of the straight through exhausts and a ROUND steering wheel.. An amazing looking, sounding and performing car.
Speed limits in Germany: they don't have them for the Autobahn so they put them in a racing circuit.
You obviously know nothing about the Autobahn or racing.
That sound at 1.33 as it pulls away is simply mind blowing. It is the Spitfire of the car world! Yet another superb video from CH and his team. Thanks guys.
I'm not usually a massive fan of this style of video but with the cinematography and the way you presented it Chris, I was hooked to the very end!
This is my first comment on RUclips and it is simply because the editing, narrative, and story of this clip was simply perfect. I wish this was a full length documentary as I would love to watch more.
It's unbelievable this video was made by four people. You guys are the best!!!
Neil brings it home only the way a true pro can, and kudos to the whole filming team for catching all the fun.

Matt Close Have you donated to Chris' Patreon account? :)
Ben Krapf I have twice now!
Chris Harris, a V12 Aston and a race of The Ring.
I'm cool with this.
My morning coffee is complete. I've been waiting for this since the preview. Time to up the Patreon donation - you and Neil really are delivering!
Absolutely mega. Neil truly outdid himself with the video work here. Great team effort!
By far the most entertaining race driver, journalist and genuine car nut. Thanks CH for the brilliant work. I LOL'd with u at 1:49, such a beast!
Chris, your videos provides a detailed and personable experience into a segment of the racing world I will never experience. Thank you for your uploads.
Words cannot describe how beautiful this video is.
What a terrific insight into this world. Thanks Chris Harris. Another great edition to your series.
Tiptop piece of automotive journalism you have here. CHOC is unparalleled.

Racing is beautiful. Racing feels like home. I just wished, in another life, i'd be born inside it. Or get inside it. God bless you guys.
It's never too late
This is a beautifully edited and shot piece of work, all Chris' videos are the highest quality I have seen and I watch many many youtube car videos.
What a Fantastic Story and beautifully captured . Great Job Chris and Neil here's hoping you get another shot at it next year .
Love your work .
This piece of racing journalism makes me shout your name in honour from the mountain tops! Ballsy and welldone!!
What an amazing production this video is. It captures everything motorsport is about.
This is not only the best racing event video, but the best video art i've seen in a while. Amazing job!

Fantastic videography and soundtrack as per usual. Awesome work overall. Who ever thought racing could be so beautiful?
Just love the sound of that V12 Aston. Better luck next time gents. The video production of this short film is astounding. Well done gents and ladies.
The production, camera work, video editing is every car enthusiasts dream.
This is now on my bucket list: to attend at least one event at this wonderful place.
That was such a wonderful video.
What a stunner of an edit! Chris and Neil thank you, it was a shane about the DNF but you got to drive it on the road which is just so cool. Better luck next time
the desire i have to race at such events, don't think I ever wanted anything more, i keep replaying your videos almost every week
What an amazing video! Thank you Chris, Neil and the team to give us crazy fans a fantastic peek behind the scenes of the madness and adrenaline rush that is the N24! Shame about the speed limits I have a feeling it is only a temporary situation.
Brilliant and beautiful video, the best one yet! And it was all Aston so even better. Thanks to all involved.
Neil's editing is just superb!
Niel, you made an amazing job by filming that so well. And the montage seems and sounds perfect to me. Thanks a lot for sharing that with us guys

Well done Neil I can only imagine it's a very hard place to film to try and capture varying shots with it being such a big place!
Chris and Neil, your videos are getting better and better. I loved this latest video, especially the video work and the flow of the story.
Great video! Really cool slow motion and great music which makes me feel the spirit of the competition. BRAVO OLD BOY!
amazing video, huge props to all those who filmed and edited. It turned out phenomenal!!
Great video, I keep watching these in the hope that I'll find one where the car finishes the race!! Love your commentary and your perspective on the race, awesome work!

1:48 the moment you realize you're driving a race car on the public highway and how badass it is 😂👍🏼👏🏽
By far the best piece of content I have viewed on the Web or TV this year. Many thanks :-)
Once again you guys don't disappoint. The commentary, the video work, the editing are all top notch! I only wish there was an hour of watchable content. Thank you guys!
He is simply the best motoring journalist around. What a lad!
AWESOME VIDEO GUYS!!!! Big respect for filming, editing and MUSIC! Goose bumps the whole video.
Many thanks Chris for this stunning video, as many other videos you've made already. Thanks for your Crew too.
hope to meet you up a day in the future.

Great video, it really catches the atmosphere in the pits and around the track!
Wonderful video guys - great insight into the highs and lows of endurance motor racing - cheers!

Those z4 Gt3's still look fantastic. awesome seeing the SCG003 out as well
Chris, you and the Aston team are winners in my eyes. Excellent video, thanks for uploading!
Not going to lie I was more excited to see Neal's excellence in editing in this video than Chris' driving

What a great effort by you and your team mates. Better luck next year. A really big thanks to Neil for great camera work that made me feel like I was there :)
Driving race cars on the roads is very fun and cool indeed. Great video and just love that Aston.
Less than a minute in, and I've got a grin on my face as if I'm the one having fun - Chris, you are without equal.
Well done Chris Harris you should be given an MBE you are Truly quintessentially British an outstanding balance of excellence and car journalism , this is an extraordinarily great video.
Thank-you Sir Chris Harris you are to so so many people the number one choice for top quality automotive-ness...x.

Who the hell dislikes a video like this? This is great stuff, than you for making it and sharing it.
brilliant film chaps.
youve captured the flavour of the n24h perfectly, its mad, bonkers, a bit intimidating, and bloody confusing and thats just from a spectators view point, iv no idea what its like to actually be a part of this mental race.
neil doing is usual standard great work
ps: radiolemans doing the english commentary as always highly knowledgeable and entertaining, i did enjoy the interview with chis on rlm...
