Yeah, but it's overlayered with the straight cut gears. Which is unrealistic since the gear whine is only audible inside the car.

My favourite sound for this car is NFS Carbon's version. It's kinda hard to explain but transmission's whine sound is better in Carbon for me. The original sound from MW is on the second place in my list. I also like the Early sound from the demo but I think it sounds better with SLR Mclaren. This sound is really brutal. It's crime that this sound is unused in final version of the game!

Carbon had a lower rpm note to it for some reason.
@@SoheiJayce Because it used Jaguar XK for engine and it made it low pitch with TVR Cerbera for exhaust.
Actually,this engine is suitable for this vehicle (just as the starter version of the GTR since as you know,there is 2 separate versions of that vehicle which is least modified parts to heavily modified parts (least is for the beginning and the heavily one should use the NFS carbon sound which suits it really well)
KingSlayer definetly nailed it, you can hear the pure sound of the V8 and also the iconic whining of the straight cut gears, I love it

@@interextated Thanks, I didn't realize a stock engine doesn't fit a Le Mans car. Now that you mentioned it, how DO you tell a Porsche V8 apart from a BMW V8 from just the sound?
E3 with the transmission was actually really solid
I wish there was a mod that makes sounds get louder with rmp. Main problem is how volume is the same across the whole rpm band, and now oddly sounds are compacted to higher rpm range parts, so cars sound at 5k rpm as they should at like 2-3k rpm, and its all universally quiet when it should get increasingly louder. In real life its a gigantic difference from low-rpm to redline. between 60 and 96dB, tuned cars go even further if straightpiped(or racecars like M3 or C6.R) to 110dB, and its a gigantic difference. I dont say it should blow people's eardrums like in real life but it should reflect that difference in the game.

@@klodinkediloni762 Grid 1,2, Autosport; Dirt 3 etc and Dirt rally games do that well. Project cars mightbalso be quite good but i didnt play it myself. NFS Most Wanted 2012 alsonhas incredibly good engine sounds and way cars clutch/sound during gear changes, especially LFA.(it also has the best tunnel sound effect i heard in a game). It sadly went downhill in NFS2015. They ruined how these sounds were ppayed completely in that game and it barely improved since then.

The best mod is for the .nfsms 2022 3 24, with copy the file CAR_TRANNY.ABK from the Aillon Air to get the whine.

Heat sounds badass
Imho Heat sounds like garbage, the shift farting doesn't fit the car, also it's unnecessarily loud when shifting

I have always liked more E3 sound than the retail sound, Heat sounds good only in actual NFS Heat.
The last one is the best. It sounds like a real NA V8 race engine, and it reminds me of Judd's V8.
The beta sound is basically the final sound with a lower pitch.

KingSlayer nailed it, just that from the outside you don't hear the gearbox as the noise made is all in the cockpit due to the echo effect by being empty, but obv in a game where you are forced to drive 3rd person is a really amazing job

I find it ironic that the sound file for the E3 sound is of a Porsche 928 V8. Since BMW, and Porsche are both German brands. It’s actually quite fitting.🤔😆
damn you played a lot with the rpm_mapping to get the beta sound
He probably used 6550 as MaxRPM instead of 7784 in the original game. 6550 is the original value from Carbon.

When i played this in 2020 I liked the game and then i used mods and it made me more happy but when Mw panel came to my head I dowloaded it and got the bmw m3 gtr And when i saw the body of the bmw m3 gtr and heard the bmw m3 gtr sound I was like This is my favorite car in the world. (You deserve a like and sub :D)
E3 and E3 tranny sound is the best and also i heard that sound in cut scenes in Carbon but with whine

Imagine the car sounds from MW2012 or Unbound in this Most Wanted. It would be awesome if Criterion made a remake of MW2005, because their sound design is simply unmatched in NFS games

They cant remake Most Wanted. BlackBox is no more and EA doesnt have the rights anymore, re-acquiring the rights would cost them alot of money and possibly wouldnt even profit from the game anymore considering its the most succesful game in the series, the car brands, soundtracks,actors ... and such would ask for alot of money just to agree on being included in the game.
So i doubt this game would ever get a non fan remake.

Whenever the Heat version of the M3 shifts it's got a thrashing roar to it that i just can't help but enjoy hearing a car sound so pissed off, many in the comments say they don't like it, but why should I go and follow like a sheep and just enjoy it
You could do this but with a cars like... Ferraris? for example the FXX-K and EVO, cuz their sounds are the same as Lambos or others cars (idk which is the principal car with that sound in MW of that mod cars)
Acctualy in E3 Trailler (not gameplay) the M3 GTR uses this sound (por_928v8) but with more pitch.

I kinda wish they did a combination of E3 and the original. The original sounds awsome but the whine kinda gets annoying. Especially in Carbon where they made it louder. I wanna hear a beauty beastly engine roar with that almost demonic whine.

the E3 sound or the PS2 demo are from the TVR Cerbera or Tuscan i guess, this is because they didnt manage to get permission to get the audio from the M3

The Heat sounds more of a BMW M3 E92 than E46 GTR
they used the e92 sound, im pretty sure theres a seperate p60b40 sound in the game though

The NFS MW 2005/Carbon one is from TVR Cerbera. Except the Carbon one is mixed with Jaguar XK for engine.

E3 is beta engine sound which I have the beta for my ps2
If they hadn’t chose the final production sound the car would not be as iconic so they did good

Kingslayer is best, followed by Heat, then E3 with whine
There's also one more sound with the string name bmw_m3gtr_lm. I think that one is more accurate (sound from the cabin I think?), has a higher pitch (makes sense given the high rev engine), and combined it with Carbon's gear whine, it will be 1:1 with the real-life sound.

@@Drip_King yep it's a mod, I don't quite remember which one it is but I think Pepega Mod uses it, but I need to change the deceleration GIN to tvr_cerb/or the ABK (on Pepega Mod version) because it has the rumble V8 sound of a cross-plane muscle engine. I also used the sound on ReTouch/Redux versions
