- I had a 1 meter length of CLS Construction pine left over from another project, and wondered what could be done with it...?
I am really pleased with this piece, the tulipwood veneer and the gluing pattern create a very interesting design.
Thank you for watching.

L'abete in tornitura è sempre stato bistrattato, ma trattato da mani esperte anche lui fa la sua figura. Complimenti.
Grazie mille. Gentile è la chiave per il pino. 😎👍

I truly enjoy your work. You don't just stick to one pattern type.
Glad you enjoy it!
Beautiful, so sweet
Thank you! 😊
I said it on Insta Face and I'll say it again here, that looks really classy. The tiny slivers of colour really make it pop. Great job sir. Who would have thought stud wall timber could look so good.
Thanks Pete. I really enjoy making these pine bowl. Best wishes 🎄😃👍
Beautiful bowl. Who would have thought, construction pine could be made into something so beautiful. Great job!
Thank you very much! 😃👍
what an excellent bowl.....a cross of opposite wood adds to its own art
Thank you very much for watching
Pine, its a beautiful wood. It's just so soft, you really need a sure touch when turning it, marvelous.
Totally agree! It takes a lot of patience. Thanks for watching 😎👍🎄
A very pretty bowl. The colored veneer really makes it interesting. Amazing what some common lumber and imagination can produce. Well done.
Thank you very much 👍😎

I have loads of pine laying around but never thought it can look that good . Great Job i love it.
Thank you! Cheers! 😃👍
Nice job on this one. I like the way you slant the bowl edge outward/down. Nice effect.
Thanks 👍 I've done a couple like that recently and really like the edge effect.
What a talent.
Thank you very much 🎄👍
Very nice!! Love the thin clean lines, good job!
Thank you very much 😎👍
Nicely done 👍

Thank you so much 👍
Nice work Sir 👏👏
Thank you very much for watching 😎👍
Beautiful! Merry Christmas and Happy turning next year!!
Thank you! You too! 👍😃🎄
I like this design. I was nervous for you about the end grain glue up. But glad to see it held together. One thought on the mortise and soft wood. Perhaps create a larger mortise then inset a hard wood round piece and then turn in another mortise? Not sure how well it would work, but if it did, could reduce the risk of it coming loose but also provide more visual interest if you used a different species of wood.
Thanks. I've not thought of doing that, but it's definitely worth a shot. ❤👍
very nicely done looks great
Thank you so much 😀

Great job 👌, nice bowl 😊.
Thank you! Cheers! 🎄👍
Super!👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
I agree with everyone that it turned out beautifully.
But the end grain glue up made me nervous, have you ever had one come apart while turning?
Thanks for the video
Yes I have, only once, but none since I switched to Gorilla Glue. Thanks for watching 😃👍
No "wax on, wax off," this must be an imposter!
😂 Sorry I've forgotten to add that lately! I will try to drop it in next time 😂😂😂👍🎄
👍👍👍 Very beautifull! How did you treat the tulipier veneer to have those beautiful colors?👏👏👏
I bought it already coloured. Thank you for watching
really appreciate your turnings with just simple stock pine, so much more affordable, and you do get very pleasing results. Do you struggle much with tear out? also have you ever tried using coloured stock card as a veneer? Lovely bowl and thanks for sharing, happy christmas, regards, Tony.
Thank you for watching. Pine really does take so much care to turn. Very sharp tools make all the difference. I’ve never used card in joints, I’m not that brave at 1000rpm! Take care 👍
@@RDMWoodturning Will give it a go and will let you know how I get on ------ assuming I survive 🤞🤞😊😊
THAT is one slick bowl. But, where was the WAX ON, WAX OFF?
The bowl is one of my best pine pieces! Sorry I totally forgot wax on/off in the edit! 😎👍
bonne idee .bien . cdt du 60
Thanks 🎄👍
