I like to think hes picked up alot of skills through his years of ctu training, overall military/spec ops career, field ops, and working with chloe. Like he kinda knows how to rig trackers, defuse bombs, “hack in” to some stuff, and I assume hes just a really quick learner and alot of tech skills might translate to other tasks in general.
We got all we can handle with the current government crisis, and , sadly, we'll have to do without the services of our favorite counterterrorism agent.
They need to add a new element if they bring it back though. Like what if there are no terrorists this time and just rogue AI from a company malfunctioning. They should also bring back kim bauer but not put her in any direct danger, and reinvigorate the directing/acting

This is why at the end the russians said "We only want you Mr.Bauer, thats we have always wanted". Jack is the perfect agent, russians need someone like him.
