I always liked how Jack referred to Heller as “Mr. President” in this season. The guy was practically a father in law to him at one point, and their last interaction in the original series ended with Jack pointing a gun in his face. But even after all they have been through he still shows him the respect of calling him “Mr. President”. I thought that was a nice little nod to his character.
William Devane was such a good get for 24. He’s a superb actor and had perfect presence for his role.
I remember seeing this live when it aired, and I'm like "well this guy already faked death once, I mean he has to die this time right?" and then the loud clock happened. I was like damn this guy is invincible.
He did not fake his death in Season 5. He just survived.
I think they should had used the silent clock, at this point of time he deserved it, and it would have been a nice plot twist to be a fake one. They did a couple of those, specially with Palmer in S2 and Renee in S7
@@MarkHogan994 yea he survived his car going in the water
"End of the road, Jack" - James Heller.
I just found out the theme that plays is called that.
The music is epic
you're an absolute legend man! 24 was the best show ever and your videos make me want to watch all these seasons yet again! Please keep doing this! Thank you!
Thanks man!

I guess the lack of a silent clock was the biggest hint ever that heller didn't die.
I remember on IMDb this one guy was going crazy saying we were all stupid for believing Heller didn’t die and made a bet saying if he could find 10 people to believe Heller didn’t die we’d all put our accounts.
If Heller died........10 people would delete their accounts.
If Heller survived.......he’d delete his account.
The OP even was denying a second preview that showed Heller alive......thinking it was PhotoShopped. He said we were all so stupid bringing up the silent clock rule. He kept mentioning we were going to eat crow pie 🥧 and kept making waaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh remarks.
Michelle didn't get one either.
@@alexwallar8608 I've thought about that myself. I'd say the reason Palmer and Michelle didn't get silent tones is because it was necessary for the season. All other silent tones were more collateral damage.
@@saskruffriders8234 Also they were in the middle of the episode not at the end like this one and other silent ones
The silent clock doesn’t always mean death aswell
"I gave you a presidential pardon." I guess that was his way of apologizing for the horrible things he said at the end of Day 6. But he was right jack did get back in the game and Audrey did pay the price like his wife did. No one else said it so I figured I would.
Are you still active??
@@fathergabrielstokes4706 Oh absolutely.
True
It was really Day 8 though that led to this though. He was retired, but yet got talked back into it.
Although Kim kind of also gently understood if he needed to finish some work, she'd be OK with it.
But had Day 8 not happened, he wouldn't have needed to hide at the end and wound up here in LAD.
But I'm sure he would've been talked back into the game in some other scenario.
If he actually died here this scene would've gone down as one of the saddest in 24 along with Chappelle's and Edgar's deaths.
Heller was kinda a dick tho
You forgot to add Curtis Manning
Palmer and Michelle?
and one of the wildest
@@joec7217 they wernt sad, they were more shocking. Yes it was sad the characters died but the show didn’t go for sadness when they died like the others
Amazing music!
I thought about playing this Sean Callery funeral dirge at my wife's funeral. But I play it when I visit her at the cemetery
Ironically the man who kept trying to die the whole series ends up being one of the handful of characters to survive lol
So true. Willing to die at hands of the drazens, willing to die by Nina Myers, willing to fly the plane w bomb, heart stopped by Ronnie stark but revived, willingly addicted to heroin, turned himself over to Marwan, heart stopped to fool secret service agent, willingly went back to fayed after returned from China, willing to blow up w Cheng in old motel, etc😂😂☹️
@@mkrny111 I’m pretty sure he meant Heller
@@ascjosh so true. Day 5 he drove off the cliff ..
That's what the whole show is about.
That's, what, the THIRD time Heller tried to die with dignity and ended up surviving? 😂
Death by natural gas, driving off a cliff and the football stadium explosion?
what's sad is he probably died alone at his home, not remembering anything since he has dementia
LMAO 🤣🤣🤣 facts
Heller was a great President in this ! Great actor!
Heller always had that look on his face that he'll slap the shit out of you real quick
😂😂
The music score is brillaint!!!
This scene was 🔥I loved that Heller gave Jack the pardon after all he did on behalf of this alternate reality America.
Amazing Season!
0:02 "HEY! THE MARLIN'S GAME STARTS IN FIVE MINUTES! WHERE IS EVERYONE?!"
Lol Jack is going get pardon from every president
Jack is the man!!!
Lol
one more request please! that seen from Season 8 where they try to escape through the tunnel with President Hassan and that epic gunfight!

2:38-3:28 soundtrack gives you goosebumps.
Personally, I think Jack should have let him sacrifice himself. It would have been a more merciful end than what was to come, losing his daughter then forgetting her completely
Jack couldn't have known any of that.
I’d say it was very appropriate that Heller would forget Audrey after she died. That way, he wouldn’t have to finish his life with that endless pain.
“I gave you a Presidential pardon”.... oh cheers dad.
This was the third time, Heller tried to kill himself and failed on every occasion and probably died hopelessly not remember what a hero he was.
Everything felt perfect and I prefer to see it as he died here. The music is so good it sold the scene for me. Better than the fate that awaits him. He earned a more dignified death.
If Heller's last words were, "Protect my daughter." Then Jack's rage at the end would feel more earned.
oh my Jack! you are the best always...
haven`t watched anything of the sort yet!
I guess that the clock was ticking with sound was a hint that he was still alive, otherwise it would be silent.
This could also double for a Rosland Capital commercial...
Love the channel, can you upload the last scene of season 8 when Jack escapes from certain death thanks to the president? That was emotional even though it wasn't his final scene
I really thought that this was it for President Heller, I think this would've been a great send off to his character instead of killing Audrey off at the end of the season. Again great twist though faking his death using camera trickery.
Why didn't they just put the silent clock in to screw us all over for a week afterwards?
The absent silent clock was nearly a giveaway. Also remember the Brazilian trailer which completly spoiled the twist too.
But Palmer got the silent clock and survived, as did Renee Walker in season 7.
palmer's silent clock on season 2 had his breathing sound at the background, so did renee's one when she got buried alive.
***** True. So?
same with tony's "death" in season 5
(SPOILER ALERT) I honestly thought he died. Cried so hard. :/
the music fit the scene so well as well
Sean Callery is the composer and he is just so incredibly awesome.
Heller should have been the vice president atleast during season 6
They should have used the silent clock to really sell the fake-out. We were all just waiting for the reveal when the next episode was released.
What is music title?
The music track is "End of the Road"
By Sean Callery 👌
I remember this scene and then everyone on IMDb was wondering if Heller was still alive.
After a trailer from another country came out we thought he was and this one user went insane betting ten people to delete their accounts if Heller was dead but he’d delete his account if Heller was alive.
I screencapped the whole incident.
With stuff like that happening, it's no wonder the IMDb Message Boards ended about three years later.
@@futuremovieactor
Agree.
I'm still upset at the boards shutting down.
@@VanillaLimeCoke I am too. Can't say it was totally unwarranted though.
Let’s be honest we all knew heller didn’t die because he would have gotten a slight clock
was this wembley stadium in london
If you're a true fan of the show, you would know that the lack of silent clock was an indicator that Heller didn't die.
Name of the song please ?????
Also, can you please post the video where they show us Heller is still alive?
Will post that soon.
Ajouter l'intégralité de la saison pour nous permettre de bien comprendre le film surtout saison 9

Yes, he couldn't die in PS2 explosion.
lol
That ending uuiiiiii
the fx effect of this explosion scene is pathetic. Hope they have sufficient budget if any new season will come.
NNNYYYOoMMM BOOsHHH
This time Chloe was the hero, not Jack. She was the one who saved Heller's life. If she wouldn't been able to hack into Margot's system, Jack would've let Heller die. He literally wouldn't had no choice. Otherwise he would've been responsible for thousands of innocent peoples death. What's sad is that Jack got the credit over what Chloe did. Nobody even mentioned what she did. That's just wrong. No wonder she left Jack right after this. This was perhaps the biggest thing she's ever done in her career days and it was all for nothing cause Jack got a pat in the back. No wonder she wanted to die after this. She thinks she doesn't matter because everything she's ever done was all for nothing, all the sacrifices she's made went all unacknowledged.

Will anyone ever go to a soccer pitch again?
This scene was a huge letdown for 1) the crappy explosive effect and 2) the Chloe magic was totally predictable.
Super
I would like to see carrie mathison and jack bauer together
Gotta be honest, I didn’t like Heller and I felt nothing for his “death”.
We all have characters we dislike. I myself wasn’t a huge fan of Teri Bauer.
@@Judge-1964 Teri Bauer was annoying, James Heller was an absolute legend, true hero and patriot. Heller was the only character on the show with bigger balls than Jack
@@hc6417 Heller was the best.
I do question why Jack fell in love with someone who has the complete opposite personality to him. I would have expected Teri to be someone like Renee.

What I don't get is how Jack and Chloe got him out in time. Was that even realistically possible?
The moment when Heller started to walk to Stadium field and Jack was calling after him "Mr. President, Mr. President!", Chloe was calling out to him on the phone. That was the moment when she had managed to hack into Margot's system. The rest is history.
Never liked Heller nor Audrey. So I wasn't shocked at all

Heller being alive was obvious because he didn't get no silent clock. Remember they brought Tony back because of all the stink of him not getting a silent clock either.
Also, this isn't the first time Heller cheated death. Remember when h drove his car down the cliff in season 5? Cheated death too.
