Hello Dude blender. I'm fairly nooby in blender and I wanted to ask your opinion on something. If I want to be able to do professional interior design and finally produce renders for customers to see their houses, should I focus on learning blender or another program is more suitable? I took a look at sketchup for example but being an older man I need to spend my time wisely :)
Thank you for your work regardless, it's very helpful.
Hey mate, what’s up? It depends on what type of work you want to do. Sketchup is probably the fastest for doing the geometry of the house, but it’s the most basic renderer so it won’t look as nice. With Blender you might take a bit longer in modeling the house, but the renders look very good. So if you just want to visualize the shape of the house and place furniture to get a feel of size and space, sketchup is great. If you want more flexibility and realism, then Blender is an excellent choice. One thing about Blender is that there are stores like Poliigon or CGTrader where you can easily find furniture, plants and materials at accessible prices. I would personally recommend Blender over Sketchup. As for professional architecture software like ArchiCAD, Revit or 3DS, I can’t tell because I’ve never used them. Hope this helps!
@@Dude_Blender thank you for taking the time to respond! You more or less confirmed my suspicions. Now I only need to convince my boss :)
@@flamet good luck with the boss! tell them that Blender is free though, they like that!
Hey, Can you provide the materail and texture file? :) , thanks!
Hey mate, I bought them so I can’t give them away as they are not my creations. But I do have a starter kit for 15 bucks here: dudeblender.gumroad.com/l/starterKit
Hope that helps. Cheers!
@@Dude_Blender Alright understandable! Thanks! :D
