AWESOME!!!! .svg files until right now were part of the problem. Now they are part of the solution! Thank you VERY much Architecture Topics!!!!!
Man your videos are soo good, you can't imagine how much you are helping people with them and also encouraging many to come to Blender and do some Archiviz. Well done!
Really appreciate it mate! Thanks
Genius trick! It sure beats importing, scaling then tracing a JPEG.
Great tips on tracing in Inkscape! The setup can be also used for decals.
This is really nice!! Such a quick option 😍😍
Converting to SVG was a genius idea! Thanks so much !!
Thanks, Glad it Help.
One could scale the image to match the estimated door opening, but if dimensions are available they'd have to be preferable. If it's a problem, imperial measurements can be readily converted to SI units. Take the longest one, (21.5 feet), convert to mm, then scale to that.
Your method is very impressive and efficient. I like it better than manually tracing an image.
Thanks.
Awesome video man, this can be great time saver
This is phenomenal! first time hearing about this InkScape Thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate! glad you like it.
You are truly such a helpful person that he explains a lot in every video. Thank you very much indeed! 🥰
Happy to help!
Interesting. And I'm impressed with its ease too.
TIP: At 4:11, the menu you click, inside "UNITS", you can select Unit Scale = 1m, so if the room is 10x10m, you can simply make it 10x10 squares on the grid, since the size is notated on the blueprint., so you wont have to guess or compare or use another reference.
Thx for the info mate! really appreciate it
@@architecturetopics ty for the video, it was a nice idea well explained =)
i can't find units all i see is transform, scale, location, rotation and dimensions
@@heisenberg3206 Pause the video in the 4:11 timestamp I mentioned. Look at the bar to the right below: Scene, UNITS, gravity, etc. You just expand the units menu and its there.
Thanks for the video!!! This will save me, hours of work 🙂
Damnnnn!!! You are outstanding, amazing, unbelievable and what not 😳take a bow man!!!! I’m glad I found your channel.
Thanks! Glad it help
Awesome trick, you just sped up my workflow

Clever way! Thx!
Glad it help mate!

Can a added counter in my drawing be removed from the full height model and then put back in or can I just adjust the height of that counter later please?

With blender Archimesh shouldn't take time to set doors and windows.

keren
I use this method to turn Logos into 3d models
Hi, thank you for sharing. I am beginner and trying to follow through. At time 5:05 where you pull the wall up, i got lost from there. Can share more.specific steps i should be doing?
Hi mate and glad you liked it! After 5:05 nothing much left we already hit E to extrude the walls on the Z axis, and we repeated the same thing with the letters, though they're not that important.
@architecturetopics thank you very much. Tomorrow I go try again. Many Thanks. 😉
may the good Lord bless you beyond your expectation i am grateful
Love your video. Is it possible for you to model an entire house please

Suppppppppppper !!!!!!
Is it all one wall or can we select it individually for materials?
If you mean in blender you can do whatever you want with it. Separate any part you want or assign any area with different materials. All options are available. With Inkscape I would think you either do it based on color or line thickness or any other method it has to recognize the image.
Hi, what if it is already a PDF?
I wonder if you can fix svg file in inkscape, so not much of vertex mess in blender
I think the result will depend on the mode you choose to export the SVG, though I'm as I said a noob in Inkscape so you might need to look more on this, for me I rather fix it with blender so getting the SVG with all components is good for me.
@@architecturetopics Thanks for the thoughtful reply.
If you increase the Black Levels, say in Gimp, you go to Colors/Levels, and move the arrow on the Output levels to the left, and make it as black as possible, this helps a lot. Then export as a .png. This needs to be done before making it an .svg file in Inkscape. It doesn't completely eliminate the vertex mess, but helps a ton!
Wawww What is the name of the screen capture app?
Camtasia Rec
tanks tanks tanks
Glad you like it mate!
5:03 hit Ctrl P is that right ?
CTRL P in edit mode will separate selection from main mesh, the time stamp you have here is on extrude E.
Genius! Feels like cheating! haha
HOW DID YOU MADE THE MAP BIGGER, I'M STUCK AT THAT POINT. CAN ANYBODY ELSE HELP???????????????
Do you mean after importing it to blender?
Select it from the layers and hit Num-bad . to zoom at selection, then hit S to scale.
If not just give us the time where you have a problem.
@@architecturetopics Ok let me try this
👍👍👍🤝🤝🤝
Thanks 💙
But no architect will use this
I hate to say it but I stopped watching after hearing the voice.
Awesome video man, this can be great time saver
