3rd Gen Tacoma 1.25" Wheel Spacers from KSP Forged: amzn.to/36SnGNV Кино
Thanks Mike.. your videos inspire me to keep my 2018 Taco TRD OFF-ROAD a more aggressive stock look to it.. I’ve watched all your videos pertaining to keeping your Taco stock looking but more aggressive.. 5100 Bilstein’s w OME 888 springs.. Icon AAL .. just swapped out my tires to Toyo Open Country AT3s great tire.. anyways keep up the great videos Mike 👍🏼
Glad I could help! Hope you don't mind my transition to 17" wheels and 285 tires :)
Great videos, keep them coming
Im going with a 1.5 strut spacer for now and some 1.25 or 1.5 wheel spacers. Thanks for the video
I noticed the Uber badging. I would like to be picked up in a Uber Tacoma.
Uber Taco...
Did you apply loctite on the studs because they’re really important when installing wheel spacers and I heard that the spacers had no brand name from eBay
Extended opened ended lugs? Your thoughts?
Everyone else I’ve seen vids of put a small dab of loc-tite. Did you and not record it? Have you re-torqued each tire rotation?
Good price on those the spidertrax they are wanting more for a set of 2 than all 4 for those.
2:45 was cardio session?
Can these be installed on 3rd Gen 2WD?
Hey great video! Sorry I’m late but quick question, what lift do you have on your Off Road?
In this video I had a Rough Country 2" spacer in the front and a 1" toytec block in the rear. I now have an ICON stage 2 lift in conjunction with the toytec block
What eBay store was it from? I’m on the hunt for spacers for my 2018 tacoma
NICE TO PUT SPACERS BUT GONNA MAKE THE STUD BOLT MORE STRESS
@Mike C - any drawbacks like possible damage to hub assembly or additional wear on front end parts by adding a spacer?
There is definitely debate on some of these issues including whether they are safe, but they are also heavily used. I think you can make the same argument about most all modifications to the stock settings of your vehicle. I don't think you're going to create huge issues if they're installed properly.
Did that cause any clearance or rubbing issues?
Hi Mike if you just did a 2" spacer on the front coil overs and nothing on the back would the back look lower than the front? I don't know if I should go with 2" spacer or 1.5.
Technically you are level with a 2" spacer but I think in many situations you will notice a sag in the rear. If you're only living the front I'd go with 1 or 1.5 up front to be safe.
nice video, how did you keep the front wheels from spinning when torquing the spacers down
You can have a second person sit in the cab with a foot on the brake if needed
Put a flat head screwdriver on the top of the break rotor
I have a TRD Pro and going to be putting on a 2" spacers on the front - what is the spec for the tires? I want to maximize my tire size, but I believe my rims are 17" rather than 16".
We both have 265/75/r16s. The TRD pro comes stock with 16" rims unless you've gone aftermarket
Are they stock height?
hey how come you dont install spacers for your taco?
Is that rims is 17x7?
Hey Mike, thanks for the vid. Exact spacers I was looking at getting. Just curious if there were any issues with them pertaining to rubbing? I've been doing some research and it's a mixed bag. Currently stock TRD ORD height. Any info would help thanks!
I'm not aware of any issues Matt had with any rubbing.
@@DrivenCompanion was he lifted at the time of install?
Yes, 2 inches in the front and 1 inch in the rear
What size tires?
Hello how have the spacers held up? Any issues?
No issues. They've performed great.
Red locktite on the OG lug nuts, bro.
That is almost indistinguishable. Not sure if it is worth it. Especially if you're using knockoff brand versions.
Was about to say the same thing
Can’t tell any difference
I’m looking to buy a new Tacoma off-road with the factory lift kit of two in the front and one in the back and a upgraded tire package of 265/75/16”s from the factory 265/70/16”s and the dealership is saving I need wheel spacers , do you think the dealership is trying to rip me off ?
I think you'll be ok without spacers. if you're not they're easy to add later.
What size tire is on Matt’s truck?
Same as mine. 265/75/r16
Any issues with these at all?
He's since swapped out with a new wheels that have an offset but no issues with the spacers while they were on the truck.
Meh, very little difference. Still doesn’t compensate for an actual wider wheel & tire set up
I don't see that much difference, should of gone with a 2 inch
thanks for the video
with stock wheels. it barely changes the stance. Again thanks for saving me some money, hard pass on spacers with stock wheels.
No problem 👍
LOTS OF VIDEO OF TRUCKS, WHERE IS THE DETAILED HOW TO? NOT IN VIDEO!
I guess Matt wants to bet his life on some $99 no name spacers.
dont scare me
@@mailejordan7241 you should be
Over torque and not going back to re-torque after 500ish miles has been the only failures I've ever seen on wheel spacers. Guys run them on with a gun and stretch the bolts and weaken them or with the crazy amounts of vibration since they're unsprung makes them vibrate loose.
Lol... Drum brakes... Good job Toyota.
It is a good idea if you dont mall crawl.
There is a very good reason why Tacoma's have Drum Brakes in the rear,,, Its for durability and longevity,, Disc in the back get chewed up with dirt grit or mud grit being throng back from the front,, so they cover them with Drum's..
@@boots1131 hahahaha no they don't. Drums are shit.
idontcareforaname you’re right, Toyota did it for fun with no due diligence..... let’s see, what do you do for a living and how are you qualified to say the engineers at Toyota are dumb? 😂🤣
obviously you have never had mud and debris in a brake caliper when offroading
Now go drive 70mph and feel the shaky steering wheel
There's a lot of good arguments on the wheel spacers. That's why I haven't done anything to my truck
Are wheel spacers any different than a more negative offset wheel? Or am I missing something.
All that money for nothing
