Must say, I am a Tech or an old tech from back in the day, First off, Toyota has the easiest Lifts ever and your video is great! My 2019 is going up this weekend.
Just used your video to put MotoFab leveling kit on my 2020 Tacoma Sport. Did it in 6 1/2 hours. Fronts were pretty straight forward. The rears caught me. I tried to do with tire on. Big mistake. Taking tire off made access so much easier. Also putting the block under the spring. I had to use jack on front and one on back of spring to make room to fit block in. Then when I lowered the hole/pins didn't line up, so took some creative work with jacks to move/align pins/holes. Put block on axle pin, then lower jacks/springs on, then hit with mallet to get the pin on spring to go in block hole. Only thing I'm concerned about is the front spring rubbing the sway bar. It looks close. Might order the sway bar kit to move it 1" forward. It's only $30.00 and takes an hour. Love the height of the truck now. Ready for the next mod. Thanks for the video!

Yes, any mods you do will. But keep in mind that when you drive the truck is also moving up and down so obviously the sensor is to. They just say they won't to protect themselves from law suits incase you crash

Are Quick lift and leveling kit the same? Thoughts about it man? Thanks!
From the sound of it, I'm not too sure. but a leveling kit won't damage your vehicle as long as you're not raising it more than what your ball joint can handle. spacer lift will not damage anything, might bottom out bump stop in extreme off road wheeling, Shops just want to sell you and upgrade to higher$$$ amount. Suspension lift is alot better though , but not necessary if you are doing daily driving and some moderate dirt trails.
@@ChrisCustoms No, if something goes wrong with the truck, and that problem can be traced back to the modification, it will void your warranty. If the problem was not caused by the mod, you're still covered.

Yes, any mods you do will. But keep in mind that when you drive the truck is also moving up and down so obviously the sensor is to. They just say they won't to protect themselves from law suits incase you crash
@@goprozack4255 thanks , yea I totally understand this. 👍
it won't void the warranty on like a drivetrain warranty unless they can prove the leveling kit caused a failure or issue with the drivetrain. If u have warranty on like suspension or steering this will void automatically.
@@goprozack4255 Wrong, does not void and or effect the sensor I have a 4 and 5 in lift on my 2019 and nothing is wrong and did not void and warranty. I did have to sign paperwork on the sensor location releasing Toyota of responsibility.
Just did mine, only took 15 hours and the birthing of a child
Do you need to do alignment after installation
Yes
Yes they correct everything to where it needs to be, just be sure to go right after installation
nope . let things settle and compress for a couple hundred miles then to alignment shop
Hey brother so I put this same kit on my Tacoma and now the uca is rubbing on the spring. So my question is does yours? If so what can we do to fix that? Aftermarket uca?
carlos ramos I went with aftermarket control uppers. Camburg racing got be exact.
Chris Customs how did those work out?
Hey budy, wich size of tires do you have because i have in mind 285 70 r17 but im not sure how mutch fo i have to lift..
I 1000% regret trying to follow these instructions
Why? lol what did I do?
@@ChrisCustoms dick got stuck in upper control arm.
@@Chaarolls💀💀
Chris where are you located?
This shows up under lowering kit install search.
You did say what height you achieved in the front but not in the rear.
Should be the same height
My Ques: are the leveling kits a 1:1 ratio... This looks like a 2" level kit... will it raise the front end 2"...
Ya.
Did you have diff lowering spacers?
Steadfast Patriot I did, actually!
Chris Customs awesome vid, sorry for the dumb question but what do you mean diff lowering spacer?
Abel Aleman it’s some small CNC billet spacers that are installed on the existing transfer case bolts to keep the geometry of the transfer case. Basically, it levels out the transfer case with the new height of the truck. 🤘🏼
Nice!. What is the tires and rims size?
Sam they're 16in stock wheels
put 3 and 2 inch ,no vibration, iam very happy
I just did this lift to my 2016 3inch front 2 inch rear. What size tires did you go with. Looking to hopefully fit 285/70 R17.
Hello, what measurements are the front increases?
About 2”
Hey man great video. People are pathetic. Obviously you are a DIY’er and it’s not going to be perfect. As am I and I’m about to tackle this same project tomorrow so watching your video was helpful.
The leveling kit bashers are even more pathetic. It’s all about your application. Just because you wear tennis shoes doesn’t mean you need to play tennis. You probably just like the look. Figure it out meatheads...
Thanks for the vid!
Good video where do you buy the kit ?
Domingo Martinez thanks! www.venumwheel.com
Does it have any effect on the suspension when driving fast?? Any difference and also will this void warranty?
Abher 0212 I didn’t notice a difference in ride qualify just that the rear suspension stiffened up a bit. Warranty is voided when you cut anything. I kept my stock bolts and accessories in case I need to take it to the dealer. You’ll just have to revert the truck to stock. I hope this helps!
Will I need to get an alignment done afterwards? Or is that the point t of marking the camber bolts?
P K my recommendation, yes you’ll need an alignment. Your local Toyota dealer can do it for you under $130.
So were the spacers u used 3"? Or smaller?
They r 3" but nobody says that in their videos, I haven't put them on yet
Am i the only one that noticed you didnt tighten your lugs in a cross pattern
Are Quick lift and leveling kit the same? Cause here in the Philippines every shop that I ask about lifting the truck, they say that quick lift will ruin the under chassis parts so they are telling me that if I want the truck to be lifted I must go for the suspension lift cause they say its the only correct way to do it. Thoughts about it man? Thanks!
From the sound of it, I'm not too sure. but a leveling kit won't damage your vehicle as long as you're not raising it more than what your ball joint can handle. In my case, I only went up 2 inches out in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Never have I had an issue with the "level kit". I hope this helps. And thank you for the view! Much appreciate your support.
spacer lift will not damage anything, might bottom out bump stop in extreme off road wheeling, Shops just want to sell you and upgrade to higher$$$ amount. Suspension lift is alot better though , but not necessary if you are doing daily driving and some moderate dirt trails.
Would i void my extended warranty if i do this to my truck?
michael dev I think anything you do that’s not dealer related voids the warranty. I’m not too sure, though.
@@ChrisCustoms No, if something goes wrong with the truck, and that problem can be traced back to the modification, it will void your warranty. If the problem was not caused by the mod, you're still covered.
Once the kit was installed what tire size did you end up going with?
275/70/17

This kit doesn’t require the diff drop kit?
Robert Ochoa it does, actually. I failed to include it, however, it’s fairly simple to install. It’s two 5mm washers that go in between the frame, and the diff bolts. Hope this helps! 🙏🏼
Sweet I’ll order it as well that way I can do both same time. Thanks for the reply
Is there an update on this? How’s your truck now?
It's great! I decided to upgrade my suspension and went with King Shocks all around.
Use towel on Jack to protect frame then drops frame on Jack stand😂
How much lift will it need to run 35’s?
Motorcycle Michael at least 3 inches up on the front, and you might still have to do a CMC( can mount chop).
Cab Mount Chop
This might sound like a dumb question, but Why the U bolts if is just a leveling kit ?
With the spacer the old u bolt is not long enough, so the kit includes a longer u bolt to make up the difference of space created by the spacer.
It’s a level lift. 3 inches in the front 1.5 in the rear
Are u using a torque wrench to lose the nuts .... hahahahah
what is the total height of the truck with that lift ?
Seann Evans I don’t recall anymore sorry, I finally upgraded to King Shocks!
I like it, good work👍
This will not work on a 2019 Tacoma. The spring hits the sway bar. No clearance. I found out the hard way
what are your suggestions? im doing mine this weekend
how'd it go
@@briancarpenter6413 we didnt have that issue, our only issue was a lot of rubbing because my buddy's tacoma isnt 4x4. he ended up taking it to a shop to dremel where it was rubbing. If it was a 4x4 it would have been good.
So what did you do?
What size lift kit did you use?
Ryan Hensley I used a 2 front and 1.5 rear
Nice tutorial. I'm finishing the lift on my older Tacoma when the rest of the parts come in, thus my viewing here. People cry about ride comfort when they're lifting a truck. I guess they're trying to look cool instead of using the truck as a truck. If it's going to be a suburban parking lot ride, just keep it stock... it's not going to put more fuzz on your peaches. geez!
Had a 3 / 1 lift, replace needle gear $535.00, Traction Control System causing loss of control in corners, tire rubbing, loss of power all gears, poor fuel economy that was a 2015 TRD, now have 2017 TRD....no lift, larger rims on same circumference tires - perfect
Nice work 👍🏻
THANKS FOR DETAILS
thank you for video, i will do my truck.
Don't need a leveling kit, you need a rear disc brake kit
What are you spec's? You never said?
Tommy Cecchini my apologies. The kit is a 3 inch lift in the front and 1.5 in the rear. I got a very nice stance afterwards. Not too high, and not too low. To give it the finishing touch, I added 1.25 wheel adapters all around. I can send you the link for these items if interested.
Awesome thank you!!!
I like you already had every bolt loose. Lol
awesome video.. thanks... only people who don't videos bash or make dumb comments...
Really appreciate the video. Thinking about lifting my Taco
