I ran track again Charles Rodgers in high school. He was a beast. The Michigan state sprint champion. So sad what happened to him. But don't be too harsh on him... he did try to pull his life together. Those injuries really derailed his career and got him addicted to the pain meds. And that is what eventually what caused his liver failure. RIP.

I'm on pain meds for life and they are killing me. It seems from a 6 x flipping car and ejected into a tree and my friend was ejected too not 19 foot into a tree beside mine... Before his face went through a barbed wire fence. We both had back injuries, I broke my collarbone.. jagged break( it grew back with 1/4 inch of my skin bumped up).Collarbone is mended 1 1/2 inches from where it was, cracked vertebrae, pinched nerves in several places in neck and lower lumbar region.. my back was purple yellow and black. My buddy was worse, he broke his arm, cracked 3 ribs, crushed his orbital bones( reconstructive surgery),he had 3 herniated discs in his back, broke his leg and had his lower lip sewed back on.... 🤗 Well kids moral to this story.... "Do not leave your construction bosses house ( after 4 shots crown & coke, almost a case of beer between 2 guys and a little joint to top it off).... Our dumbasses seemed to think we needed more beer to take home and watch game. Sadly we missed the game, my buddy drive and we hit 65mph on back country road( avoiding major highways) anyways I looked up and seen grass and seen mine friend had nodded off so I grabbed the wheel to get us back on road but wheels caught a rut and side of road Wich spun car and we flipped 6 times end to end according to a homeowner who seen it. My boss tried to stop us next thing I know boss is standing beside me holding my hand crying... Saying if he had known he would have cut our tires to keep us from making one of the worse choices that we still deal with 25yrs later. Some injuries modern meds cannot heal or take the pain away but pain meds dull the pain. If I stopped my meds I would not be able to move my body out of my bed. I get 50%-55% relief from debilitating pain because of these pills that are destroying my liver and other organs Alcohol was against the law until our kind hearted &generous gov made these little stores and says alcohol is fine long as WE CONTROL IT AND GET YOUR MONEY... Marijuana was illegal until states listened to their fellow citizens, doctors had proven htc has potential pain killing & nerve blocking chemicals that can medically folks who have cancer, chronic pain, nerve damage, terminal illnesses with high pain levels etc!!. Scheduled a type 1 drug... Why?.. So it's a felony and they take in cash, cash!! If it's NOT TOO LATE . I AND MY FRIEND WILL BE GETTING MEDICAL MARIJUANA AND STOP THE ORGAN KILLING OPIOIDS!!! I PRAY GOD PROVIDES A WAY SO THAT FOLKS CAN ENJOY THE NATURAL MEDICINE HE PUT ON EARTH FOR US TO USE AS WE SEE FIT AND NOT A CONTROLLING ENTITY HELLBENT ON MAKING ALL OUR LIVES A LIVING HELL!!

A few notes following your comments about the CFL. First, the season is played earlier to avoid frigid Canadian winters. That’s why Randle was released in June, because CFL training camps are held late May through mid-June (when the season starts). He simply was released in final roster cuts.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have a historic name honouring two original teams in the city. In 1950, the more established Hamilton Football Club Tigers (founded in 1869!) merged with the newer Hamilton Wildcats. Rather than adopt a wholly new name, they combined the two to form the Tiger-Cats (usually shortened to “Ti-Cats”).
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers didn’t actually have a nickname for their first several years of existence. Shortly after winning the Grey Cup in 1935 wearing blue uniforms, a sports columnist referred to them as “the Blue Bombers of the West.” The name stuck.

I love the TyCats nickname, really. CFL honestly has some fantastic names. Tiger-Cats, BC Lions. Roughriders, Argonauts, they are just fantastic. Now if the NFL and NHL would follow suit...

Dude baker won a playoff game for a team that hadnt made the playoffs since before you were born give him some respect and don't compare him to manziel especially when manziel played for the same team and couldn't even win more than 3 games a year. Baker is cocky but he is not like Johnny manziel. Baker is all about the team first and putting in the work. He just celebrates with excitement because he loves football. I still remember when Julio Jones got on camp. It was maybe 2 months after he was on campus that a recording surfaced out of practice of him catching a deep ball and then stiff arming our starting safety….. a starting safety that would have a pretty decent NFL career in Rashad Johnson. I also remember him carrying 8 LSU players on his back…. as a freshman. Side note, even as a Bama fan Treadwell was awesome. That injury against the barn aka auburn (also, that was a TD on the play he got injured on) basically ruined a lot of his potential. About Ole Miss not getting top recruits.. look at the classes they had when Freeze was there. They were paying players (speaking of auburn) and it’s extremely well known.

He played for Jon L Smith, who had tons of success at Army because he ran the Spread Option Offense which throws deep and intermediate routes to open up the run back then. Now you add RPO in the mix as well. With State having so many QBs from that era end up in the NFL it should alert to State executing well in the passing game.

Dont be so quick to judge opiod addiction. I was giving 120 loritab 10s and 90 somas for football injuries at 18 in 2008. I lived in Alabama where it was very loosely written. I came from a great home life and never was overly wild or anything. At 34 I'm still struggling with opiods. It's a choice yes but you don't understand what it does to your body and mind. When you're addicted you take them just to feel normal not to get high or feel good. If you don't have them withdrawals feel like having the worst pneumonia you've ever had, food poisoning mixed with the worst stomach virus you've ever had, body aches all over mixed with cramps, your body temperature going from hot to cold, and you're just in basic bed ridden agony. If you don't have to use them don't touch them. Everyone has to pay the piper.

Not sure if anyone has dropped stats yet, but Whitney Lewis appears to have position swapped at UNI at RB, In 06 Rushed for 337 yards on 80 carries, as well as catching 7 catches for 50 yards. in 2007 we went back to playing primarily wideout, 26 catches for 216.

DGB had all the tools. And I really thought he was gonna ball out at OU but he left before we got a chance to see him. From everything I heard he did really good at OU so idk. Never got in trouble coaches seemed to like him and he did good for the scout team while he couldn't play that year. I wish he would have stayed he'd have had Baker throwing to him and imagine the combo or Sterling Shepard and DGB? Man.

Love the video but you’re hella disrespectful to the other leagues to make it to the CFL or even the old Arena League you still gotta be in the top 10% of football players on earth. Not hating I’m just saying you’re acting like those leagues are Rec leagues at your local park.

@@yikes6969 No that would actually provide something called insight and context. Also would have been nice to know some of the other top 5 WRs who were close to the top position - like 2019 for example - Haselwood was considered '#1' by some services, but Garrett Wilson was thought to be the top guy as well..and obviously proved he was the best WR in the 2019 HS class.

35:13 if he would’ve had someone to Guide him off the Field and to keep him out and away from the Streets and out of trouble he probably would’ve been Elite. Coming from someone that grew up in the streets it’s easy as hell to get into anything and cause trouble any were Especially with no true guidance lucky for me I had common sense 😂 and tried to stay out the way and Guidance

I think Bama, Lsu, Florida st Oklahoma, Florida, Clemson has sent the best receivers into the NFL and I think that's what exposed the 2 QB's in sooner nation when there targets was gone under stoops last 5 years" as he hired one as a offensive coordinator and the other one made it to the NFL and has been released and not sign yet but the colts might ought to give Mayfield a chance as he could bounce back and meet his bar he is capable of.
