That face reveal. Oh god my Eyes my eyes!!!!!
I actually like the smiley sculpt for She Hulk. She was generally drawn to be very vibrant and happy, with a confident "Billboard"ish smile during those 80s and early 90s covers. I think that's the look they were going for, at least.
I thinks it’s fine but for such an expressive look they should’ve given her an extra head with a neutral or angry face
@@tjfields123 Well...yeah, that SHOULD be every figure though.lol Jada is showing us with two heads for standard release SF figs. Hasbro SHOULD be doing the same thing, but you know Hasbro gonna Hasbro. As is, I'm perfectly fine with just this one as that's how I mostly view classic She Hulk.
@@Forty3Snakes I mean, Yeah. Im only saying, I'm actually satisfied here because it's a great sculpt and it fits my personal image of She Hulk. Just a preference. There's still plenty to rag on this figure for, gummy plastic being 1# issue for me.
@Forty3Snakes well, like he said, it's how she was mainly viewed in this classic look. Funny how y'all say Hasbro doesn't follow the source material, but when they do, y'all don't even know it.
😂🤣😂
Are you gonna make a part 2 on the arthurtoys naruto kit
I don't know what that is. ....never mind. I remember. sorry. yes. once i finish moving in to my new house.
So that’s what you look like!
Nub
Or is it?
@@AnthonysCustoms 🤣🤣🤣
Anthony please stop using the same Diamond select figures for all your comparisons. For instance I’d love to see a hulk figure instead of that Batman
"No sculpt here in this area and I'm not asking for what you think I'm asking for. " Well I want to ask for it.
Also, classic white and purple swimsuit with the sneakers in the only She Hulk I need
That's not hulk type....she's not jacked...
Relax
The face sculpt and hair is so damn good. I also love how bright her green skin is
Totally agree. Such a great figure to look at in person. I feel the same way about the new Cable.
QOTD: I like her white & purple leotard costume. I think I'll wait for that version, preferably with slightly darker green skin, this one looks abit too "neon/glowy" imo.
I find that I favor painless knees and elbows more because they don't warp over time. I have had multiple figures knees bow when posed in a position deeper than an 'A' stance. Heating them up to fix the bowing then always losens the joints. Then I have to pop the pins, compress the slots where the joints fit to get friction in the joint again.
Exactly! I think Anthony likes to ignore this very valid explanation 😅
Pinless is still better, yeah the mismatched knee pads suck but two holes on each side doesn’t? Lol
Im here early and i just had to say, i bought two she hulks. One to play with and one to keep in the box. I LOVE this figure, but youre absolutely right. Shes too tall for the box hahaha
Edit (this is also my favorite version of she hulk. Love the purple)
My favorite She Hulk is from the John Bryn run. My mom got me some of the comics from a drug store. two were She Hulk. I didn't think I would like it sense it stared a girl, but it was funny and well drawn. I'm happy I got it. She Hulk is a bit cocky so her smiling most of the time fits. My favorite look for She Hulk is her Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 look.
I'm partial to her MvC appearance, vertical stripe leotard and track shoes or attorney at law suit.
Q of the Day 1: My favorite look for She-Hulk is the iconic purple and white leotard that she’s sporting on both the first Hasbro ML She-Hulk and the Marvel Select She-Hulk. This one will do, though.
Q of the Day 2: Normally, I prefer a neutral facial expression, but I think Hasbro made the right call here. I love everything about this head sculpt. I do have a weird thing for green ladies (and ladies with green hair), so I am terribly thrilled by this figure. That only seems to apply to comics and anime, though. Green hair doesn’t translate well to real life, so I prefer brunettes (and married one). 😂
Lol
This is a great figure. My only complaint is that they should add a second alternate head. A more neutral head sculpt. But it's still a nice figure.
It would of been cool to have a angry head sculpt especially she is a hulk
But then they wouldn't be able to sell her again in 3 months.
My favorite She-Hulk is her Fantastic Four costume. I do not care for the pinless joint I don't think it's that important, but some people bitch about it endlessly. I like her face, it reminds me of John Byrne era that for me it's the standard for her. I really want a Marvel Select version of her, but maybe I'll get her, but the different colored knees and elbows really bothers me
The problem isn’t the pins or pinless it’s Hasbro/Marvel Legends being lazy and cheap. They could make the pinned legs less gummy or the pinless legs with better paint.
I like the stern expression the best. This is a nice figure, and I’m getting it. I swear it’s a trend in action figure companies to make smiling expressions. I mean, even McFarlane is doing it. At least add an extra head with a different expression if you’re gonna do the goofy smiling one.
Anthony, you're such a hardass that when I see you smiling I get all giddy.
I’m a customizer and recently used this figure to make a Fantastic Four She-Hulk. I was able to greatly increase the movement in the neck and torso by simply removing plastic. I puzzles me why Hasbro doesn’t make it that way in the first place as it would save money and make the figure better. This issue is basically universal on all Legends as I mainly use their figures for customs. Lazy company.
Sheesh I took so much plastic out to improve torso movement
I do the same for every new marvel legends. The range could be improved by soo much more. They just do a lazy job and have low engineering skills. But I think the main reason is that they don't want to chip off too much or the pegs would pop easily, kinda like import figures. 🤷♂️
@@suhtangwong I don't know about Hasbro, but I remember for Mattel, one of the issues they kept running into with the MOTU Classics line was that they needed to still make the figures to all of the safety and construction standards of normal children's toys, even though it was marketed as an "adult collectible." It wouldn't surprise me if Hasbro has similar issues, like minimum thickness requirements or something.
Or they could just not be thinking it through very well. Wouldn't surprise me (they started throwing drop down hips on the GI Joes and Power Rangers, for example).
Is that difficult too do? Would love to get this figure and always happy for increased movement
@@matthinton19 not really. Just heat the figure up, pop it apart, and then use a dremel to remove plastic. It takes practice, especially depending on the joint
This is really good She-Hulk, my second favorite version. I do prefere the torn white shirt and jeans look as well. Also I am pro pinless all the way! There are plenty if pinless figures that have their joint colors match the rest of the limbs perfectly fine. Seems like Hasbro just gets it wrong sometimes.
Jada do a good job with matching their pinless figures, elbows knees to the rest of the skin colour..
@@jonathanhampshire6856 Yeah, them, Valavaerse, and others. Actually there are plenty of Marvel Legends that are fine, i.e., a lot of the X-Men 97 figures.
I won’t mind Hasbro reusing this mold if they put her in a true leotard, also her Fantastic Four look, and absolutely her iconic torn white dress. I really wish she came with an angry face I mean come on she’s a damn hulk!!
The way he keeps blaming us for the pin-less joints 😂
Just one more thing that Mr. Nicpick has to do for "the brand"
All ML figs need 2 head sculpts STANDARD ..each with a different expression.
Stop being cheap Hasbro give us some value for the cost.
@@dvw7665This video is about a Hasbro figure. Moving on..
@@dvw7665 Or Hasbro can do better.
Man, pinless is better, they just need to make it properly
I really like this She Hulk a lot... my favorite She Hulk figure is the Fantastic Four suited one. Also, the knee pad off color is not as bad as under bright lights. In person, it's barely noticeable.
I like the more modern look outfit wise, the one represented in MvC3 and Hasbro’s first figure of her all the way back in the Blob wave (still a pretty good figure honestly), but John Byrne’s is my favorite take character and general artstyle wise
I get why she would have the head she does cuz She-Hulk’s average expression is probably something like that but without an alternate head it makes action shots/displays awkward lol I totally agree
I'm actually surprised u didn't cover how GUMMY this figure is. Initially I thought I just had a defect but, its a constant thing with this figure from the other reviews I've seen. Aside from that and the amazing head sculpt (although I wish they gave us more options), this figure is a pretty big disappointment from the neck down. Single ball torso is designed horribly, the double ball neck joint is actually is pretty decent, but it's hindered by needless extra plastic hindering its movement.
Thanks, Anthony!
I like the bikini She Hulk from the Fin Fang Foom wave best...just because
Because what?
@@suhtangwongbecause bros a freak lmao
The fisted hands on this are sculpted at a weird angle when on the figure. Went back and looked at the other repaint release that wasn’t apart of the Fantastic 4 wave and the hands are the same. Not sure why but they look angled downward in a way that doesn’t look natural
I think this She Hulk looks like she jumped right out of a comic page. The billboard smile is good as she’s known for being a bright and happy hulk. Definitely think the torso needs a little more articulation.
Also my favorite She Hulk look is the purple and white leotard that the Blob BAF wave she Hulk figure has.
there are some action figures I like so much I get more then one of , this is one of them.
If* you can find more for retail price. Can't find that anywhere...
If they're not even going to try to paint the knees and elbows, they need to stop doing pinless. These look like shit.
I’m not a fan of the torso cut happening in the middle of the ribcage- it needs to be under the pecs for men and breasts for women. Otherwise it looks ridiculous- like basically every McFarlane figure.
I responded to your comment about the 3d printer btw. Having the joint under the boobs or pecs puts it too high up. Having it as close to the bottom of the rib cage is ideal for range and aesthetic.
0:45 pretty small package if i say so myself💀
Hasbro doesn't like sculpting women's bodies. That's why they make them as manly as womanly possible. Not just marvel legends, but star wars, gi joe, any female figure from them really. Maybe it's because of politics, maybe simply because they don't wan't angry moms yelling about 'hot' figures in the toy aisle, but whatever the reason, they all look flat and unflattering.
At least her smile is pretty.
i'd love to understand, from a technical standpoint, why black widow can't do splits but shehulk can. Looking at the actual reason, as in, why one works and the other one doesn't, to understand what hasbro would need to do to fix the other figures. I get the figure can't do the splits but i dont know why
next time a figure can't do the splits, can you compare it with shehulk and point out the reason why? would love the video explanation
hasbro is just bad at making figures (the marvel team anyway). they dont know what theyre doing and arent good at doing it.
It's the point of rotation. The ballpeg that's inside the hip isn't positioned correctly in Black Widow, and many figures, plus the opening is small, so it just doesn't move much.
I was considering picking this up, but decided to pass on it. The sculpt is not appealing to me. The grey/green iteration she-hulk figure has the superior muscular FEMININE aesthetic, over this version in the video. The lack of a female pelvic tilt and hip placement (what the previous figure possessed) throws this allegedly feminine looking sculpt off. In all honesty this is a figure of a MTF trans person cosplaying as she-hulk. I'm not hating on anyone's live choices, I just don't want a MTF action figure on my toy shelf. If so, I would have purchased a Nyla Rose figure already.
My favorite Shulkie costume is her Secret Invasion look, its similar to her '00s leotard but with camo pants and boots. I also really want her FF costume
Live action version? Oh you mean that unlikeable, feminist who hates the name she-hulk and likes wearing baggy suits. That is Green Mcbeal. This show was so poor and nothing like that character. I care about the character and am a huge fan. Jen in the comics is the most likeable fun fun-loving human being. She loved the name she-hulk and she embraced the fact she is sexy and liked to flaunt it. That THING in the MCU show was NOT her. That was a result of someone who didn't know the character and used it as a platform to preach their views on feminism by using the show Ally McBeal. Which is who that was. Green McBeal. Oh, and the showrunner was the showrunner of Ally McBeal. LOLOLOL
My favorite version is this one because she is based on John Byrne's She-Hulk. A series I love. I love this figure. she will clearly make my top 10. Not that she had much to compete with. So far I have only praised her and Power Princess. Oh well, I do love Scarlet Spider and Jack O Lantern and the sabretooth (those he has gummy joints. But right now we have She-hulk and Power Princess and two overgrown pussycats. One is a man called Sabretooth, and the other actually is a Sabretooth. But Jen (she-hulk) Is fun to pose and take action shows with. I do agree with how she was packaged. I like her smile because again..that embodies the John Byrne version of She-hulk. I'm not big on pinless either. But my figure's knees match. I have seen ones that don't. Also you cannot kid bash with pinless
My favorite iteration of the character (it's not like I'm a big fan though) might be the one from the 90's Hulk animated series but apparently the take of the live action is more comic accurate (talking about the whole lawyer focused plot) except from the origin itself and I also refuse to believe that her comic book counterpart is as annoying, narcisistic and overall unlikeable person as she is portrayed in the MCU. I hated the show and the character, that said, I think that the MCU figure turned out actually kinda cool, I ended up getting it at sale price and was pleasently surprised, I think the sculpt there turned out not too bad, I think I even like it better than this one, and man, I hated that show, I even ended up selling most of my MCU stuff, I have just a few figures left and she's one that I'm keeping still just because of the look (one ankle got so damn loose and it's a pain to stand her up though and her pinlesd joints are not the best, her elbows are actually kinda ugly).
Regarding the second question of the day, I think we always need to have options for facial expressions, I get why She Hulk gets the smile, that goes with her personality but it'd be nice to have options if want her in a fighting display or in a serious photograph, I'm okay with characters having expressions that match their personality, but we need those options, it should be the rule if they pack a smiling face, at least give us something else. Remember how they gave us THREE headsculpts with the Wendigo wave Nightcrawler? That was nice, I'm not saying every figure needs 3 headsculpts but options are always appreciated.
I'm okay with the slight discoloration if it means pinless joints. And as far as durability, my toddler has been playing with VHS Cyclops and has put it through more abuse in 2 months than I would have in 2 decades, yet the joints have held up well. 🙂
Overall I like the look of this figure. The facial expression matches her personality, but an alt head would've been welcome. Jada's Street Fighter Ken Masters has a rubbery material for the hair. Hasbro could've done the same and reduced the volume of it below the base of the skull. Maybe a swapable hair piece. I also think she should've had a ball jointed waist.
Hasbro not being able to colour match pinless knees and elbows to arms and legs is weird. Jada do it fine.
For me pinless joints just look cleaner and I have had no issue with bowed legs or looseness. I have had loose joints on pinned figures.
Crunch a dump, haha!!! It is a very awkward position, for sure.
Don't care much about she hulk, but figure wise i feel this one is really good. Really like the hair and face on this, though i wish there was an alternate angry head. Apart from that, the mismatched knees and elbows and limited range in the torso irks me.
Got her in my pile of loot and had been looking forward to getting her,but just now seeing from your review, those knees and elbows really seem to stick out! Otherwise I’m liking how she looks. Hopefully I’ll be able to see past the knees and elbows once I have her
Cool looking sculpt but very very limited articulation. More of a statue than anything.
Since you complain about the boob shape, can you do a Photoshop to show how you would like it to look? Asking for a friend.
My favorite look for She Hulk would be the one that looks like a one-piece bathing suit where the openings for the legs go high on the hips.
They did superb job on that hair! Legs...Tubular, dude!
Hasbro is doing what many in power are doing, slowly making very feminine characters more masculine.
the more i look at this figure the less i like it. i cancelled my pre-order and got the blob wave she hulk instead
I just got one, got it home and her green skin glows bright under a black/UV light. Looks awesome too!
Questions of the day: love Jen in the Fantastic Four and look forward to the inevitable repaint, and I'd prefer multiple head/face options. Oh, as for your figure falling over at the start of the video, I've had her for a few weeks now and she randomly falls over A LOT (without being messed with). Also, my wife hates the diaphragm rotation, says it makes the torso look ugly and weird. And I think your review is fair: objectively there are issues (seven), subjectively it's the best She-Hulk we've ever got and I love the character (so maybe eight?). Solid review as always, thanks! 👍
Lololol sorry but Im not gonna be convinced that pins are better. Respectfully pinless is always going to be my preference
She's probably the best She-Hulk for Marvel Legends that we've gotten
I really quite like this more classic she hulk especially the big hair but I think my favourite is the one where she has black ripped jeans. But they all need more muscle damm it this meant be she hulk she shouldn’t look so slim
Put a splat of blue tack on your rotating base. Stick figures to it. That way, they won't fall off.
Same I would've given it a 7. I think definitely they'll do a variant some day.
Some characters I'm cool with smiling heads, adds character and variety to the dower serious characters on a shelf.
You know what is worst? The MCU one has matching color pin-less joints... They can do it... They just don't as they're cheap. Pins or pin-less its the sculpts or artists fault...They are the same bar the tech how they are attached...
Why cant they just include two head sculpts? A normal one and a yelling type face.
The problem isn’t the pins or pinless it’s Hasbro/Marvel Legends being lazy and cheap. They could make the pinned legs less gummy or the pinless legs with better paint.
My faovrite is animated series She-Hulk
i just love all my figures looking like they took headshots applyig for marvel's live action.... when i think of she hulk this outfit and smiling face is what i imagine but it will look strange next to a screaming hulk figure so other heads or at least face plates would be usefull...
By far the best female marvel legends figure the face is beautiful you can see her eye lashes.
Thanks for your review on this one Anthony. I can't see past the knees. This isn't a collectible. It is a remolded bottle of Irish Spring soap.
Upper thighs on most of their new bucks have been PVC for 2-3 years now and the PVC is so soft you can just pull the legs off the balls at room temperature.
Aren't pvc plastic very hard? Whatever it is I'm glad they did that, so we can easily customize it.
@@suhtangwong PVC is the softer plastic (limbs, head) ABS is the harder plastic (torso, crotch, elbows and knees on pinless).
@@FREKKI No, all insert molded joints are POM plastic. ABS is used on torsos, crotches and accessories.
I’ll wait till they rerelease her with a toned down skin tone and a FF costume
If they made a brand new body why didn't they give her the the inverted ab crunch.
Or butterfly shoulders, or a moveable head, or non-gummy legs.
easy 8/10
No speckles on mine the knees are same color and elbows blend well
That polo doesn’t look comfortable at all. It looks nice and fits well but that material is the worst. I still have all heavy cotton Ralph Lauren polos that I wear occasionally for golf. Way more comfortable than the cheap dry fit materials that every manufacturer uses now. It’s extremely difficult to find thick well made cotton clothing now for a reasonable price.
I've never wanted a thick polo. That's interesting.
Anthony, do you think her arms and legs are reuse from EOV Mephisto? You know Hasbro will remold this for years... TY!
I think that's pretty unlikely
Great actually seeing you in the vid bud, it’s been a while. I swore Nick was you first time I randomly met him at a Neo meet 😂
Keep up the great work on the reviews. Tellin you now, what would make these Legends better are ski masks and zebra pants 😆
Ha. Hope all is well. Are you back in Ohio again or have you embarked on another adventure?
But I will be looking for the white shirt she hulk lol
I like the polo! But hard to see with the black undershirt. I’ll check it out!
Yeah. It didn't show as well as i would like. I do love it though. Wearing it right now actually.
Would this figure be a good body to make a custom Big Barda?
For a guy who’s off-camera for most of your reviews, you seem very comfortable and natural when on-camera. Do you do any other work where you’re in front of a camera?
I've been on camera a lot for the channel. Just not so much recently.
Mine gets a 9/10 I like it
MVC3 She-Hulk
I can pretty much guarantee that Hasbro has a "no big boobs" mandate.
Yes the elbows and knees are a real let down.
the knees are horrible!
Pinned knees would have the gummy joints. I dont know what i would rather deal with, the gummy knees that bend sideways or miscolored joints.
They don't have to be gummy. That's a choice hasbro makes
. This figure, in particular, is incredibly gummy in the legs and arms. It's my biggest gripe with the figure. I had to use support stands to do this awesome display simply because she can't support much weight without the gummy leg issue.
My she hulk legs are gummy, no additional head sculpt. Hasbro be Hasbroing.
@@ReeceHoward06 Really? Bruh. I have the Spiral figure, and i love it EXCEPT for the gummy plastic. If its really just Hasbro cheapening out on the material choice, then its just smh.
@@bulletdancestorm554 Yeah, Spiral definitely has the same issue. Can't hold a pose without support stands. Mine has taken so mamy shelf dives, I just had to make that sacrifice for a stand to hold it in place.
I am sure I've seen your face on camera before but for some reason I don't ever match your voice with how you actually look.
I've been on camera tons of times. Should be happening regularly again soon
@@AnthonysCustoms I have only watched on and off over the years so I've probably just missed it.
If there was a few tweaks here and there like you mentioned, it'd be even better than it currently is. Still happy to own this, but the same cannot be said with Whiplash
Since don't have interest in She-Hulk, I'd much rather comment on the pins. I don't dislike pinless joints if they look good, but I dislike when the Has-Bros use it as an excuse. A Hasbro figure could be total ass but they tell you "but it's pinless," as if that somehow fixes everything wrong with the figure.
Yay! The sides of the limbs look more seemless! But it still looks like a Happy Meal toy, yay!
I would like to have the John Byrne F4 She-Hulk. In fact I might use this one to repaint into the F4 costume and not get a second one to keep it original...
As for the face I love it however I do agree it doesn't look great for fights - and I don't buy action figures to leave them vanilla-posed.
And agree 100% about the pins: it doesn't matter after all it's still a toy. I guess it only matters if the design has different colors (like Spider-Man) otherwise it doesn't matter one bit...
Into the am also make great boxer briefs.
Good to hear
Overall I love this figure. I'm looking forward to a white and purple bodysuit version and a new first appearance She Hulk. Really can't wait for a new red She hulk, like the MU version hopefully,
A smiling face fits her a lot, but having a 2nd head in that case would be great for variety. Which is why I was hoping that her skin color would end up being similar to the previous She-Hulk. That would've effectively given us 3 usable head-sculpts for each buck, and all of them very different (stoic, smiling, and angry). But of course, they had to make her a dramatically different neon green instead. It would have been SO easy for them to increase the overall value of the figure by making it compatible with the other one (assuming multiple heads were just not on the table). She doesn't match any of the Banner Hulks either, which is also frustrating, because just about any time they are on panel together I'm pretty sure she is the same color as him.
She-Hulk is one of my favorite characters, but this is one of my least favorite outfits, so I might just wait until they do a FF version or something.
Options would be perfect, i think action characters HAVE TO have screaming angry face and smile & grimace as options
To answer both questions i like the Grey she hulk from FF wave largely in part due to the face sculpt, it's very expressive which is how i prefer most of my ACTION figures.
The mid 2000s costume is probably my favorite. The blob baf and MvC3 design.
For heads, ideally I'd like a neutral and an expressive or dynamic one. Something appropriate to the character. Smile She hulk works for this version for sure. Grimace is solid for Cable. It doesn't help that there's no standardization, it's dumb luck if we get a head that can fit both scale, color, and peg size on a previous version of the same character, then we could just get different heads and expressions to collect and mix and match.
they said they couldn't do double jointed elbow when it's pinned, because women arms are too small for the pins, but they can do that now with pinless, they did say that when they first started doing pinless arms for women figures
That's bs
@@AnthonysCustoms BS or not, it is a fact now that they couldn't (or didn't) do double jointed elbow before pinless but can do and are doing that now with pinless
@@DevilFudouok HasBro
@@SkunkLifeMedia sure, say what u like, I was just referring to what they said from the streams
I wish she was a bit more jacked but I love She-Hulk so I’ll be picking this one up despite having the ripped shirt figure. Bikini She-Hulk is best She-Hulk.
I like the head sculpt but it wouldn’t hurt to have an alternate head. I suppose the bare minimum is to be expected from Hasbro.
I didn't mind these painless joints before but after watching your reviews, I can't unsee them now 😅
