Just purchased one and took pics to stick my old 39mm up for sale. Been waiting for this size in ceramic for ages. Purchased the last one from my local AD today.
@@outsiderwatches I purchased it online so it has not been delivered yet but I know I will be very pleased with it as I have owned the 41mm ceramic as well and only sold it as I preferred the look of my old 39mm on my 7.25 wrist. When Longines released the 41mm version I could not understand why they never made a 39mm version as to me this watch and design is spot on. I purchased the black dial and may get the blue dial as well.
Hi Nicolas, I believe the rubber strap is very high quality, and it looks great. Just be aware that it needs to be cut to size though. Let me know what you think of the Watch when you receive it. Rob
Hi, As far as I know, there is no dateless version available, which is a shame. Have you seen my video on the Smiths Commander? - It might interest you as it has 3,6,9 numerals in Rolex 1016 style font. It looks stunning. Rob
@@sargisshirinyan207 Apologies for spelling your name incorrectly Sargis. Yes the 200 series only has steel bezels, if I’m thinking of the right ones. Would be interesting to see coloured ceramics… Rob
Hello Almedin, Yes of course. I have a six and a half inch wrist and I would say the 39mm is the perfect size for a diver. I have a good collection of watches ranging from 35mm to 42.5mm Generally I would say 39 is great for a diver while 35-38mm is fantastic for non-divers. However it's worth noting that the lug to lug is also important. For example my Seiko GMT is 42.5mm but has a 46mm lug to lug. It wears great, and looks better on my wrist than my 41mm Longines Hydroconquest which has 50.5mm lug to lug and looks big on me. I would say 47 or 48mm lug to lug is the maximum I would now consider when buying new watches. Hope that makes sense. Rob
@@outsiderwatches exactly what I thought after doing research, I have a 6.8 inch wrist, but the hydroconquest 39mm 2022 has a 47 mm lug to lug so I think that is the perfect size for me, right?
Awesome. Who can you trust to sand out the polished Center links. Probably wrong choice of word. But that is the only thing on this piece I can’t stand.
The music is beautiful and of course the watch too great video 😁😎👍
Thank you very much for your kind words and support.
All the best,
Rob

@@outsiderwatches Got the black and now thinking of getting a blue one as well. I will wait as Longines may release some more colours.
Beautiful
👍
It is the size I have been waiting for. I think I will order the 39 mm wtih the rubber strap.

Is there a no date model, with a number 3 on it?
Hi,

@@outsiderwatches thank you, I’d be a buyer of a no date version (if you’re listening longines). Will take a look at this other piece.
Hi. Nice Video. Is there a SI on the Hangtag? For Silicium Hairspring? Wich Version of the L888 is inside the 39 mm Version?
Hi Armen,
It’s the L888.5 with the silicon balance spring. Yes it does have SI on the hang tag.
@@outsiderwatches thank you very much.
Is that L888 caliber outfitted with the silicon spiral?
See above
I love the hydroconquese but the 41mm is just too big for me. I can’t seem to find this size in any ADs in the UK; did you order it online?
Yes I bought it from ‘Francis and Gaye’ on line.
Is this the blue bezel or the black bezel?
Hi Tyrone,
It has the blue dial and blue bezel.
Rob
Didn't know there's a 39mm option for this. I thought it's only 41, which kinda looks too big on my wrist.
Hi Sardis,
Yes it’s a great option for a smaller wrist. I think it’s perfect for anyone with a 6.5 inch wrist like myself.
Rob
@@outsiderwatches I wish Tag Heuer also introduced ceramic bezel to it's 200 series, the 40mm ones.
@@sargisshirinyan207 Apologies for spelling your name incorrectly Sargis.
Yes the 200 series only has steel bezels, if I’m thinking of the right ones.
Would be interesting to see coloured ceramics…

Can you tell your wrist size and is the 39mm the right choice?

Also, my wrist width is 55mm
I think the 39mm would look great Almedin, given those measurements.

Same as mine!
What is the reference number? I cant seem to find it on their official site for even viewing.
Hi,
The reference is L3.780.4.96.6

I agree, although they are standing up pretty well so far..
